Typical Chinese restaurant with good food. We visited on 12/30/2021. Family and I had a sit down dinner which is rare these days with the pandemic protocols. When you arrive, you order and pay up front, then have a seat. There is a transparent barrier between the customer and employees along with the staff wearing face covering and gloves. I welcome that in a food service environment. We ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl, but they were out. [supply chain issues,] we ordered a pork bowl instead, hot sour soup that was on point, shrimp fried rice, chow mein (talk about hit the spot,) orange chicken (crunchy exterior, nice glaze, juicy meat) broccoli beef with the right amount of carrots and broccoli, & boba tea. We were also given two sides of white rice with our meal. The food was out in less than ten minutes and tasted fresh. You can tell that this business has it together as their employees display great communication and teamwork. Only thing that was off for me is that I'm not used to having food served in disposable containers for dine in, but with Covid-19 protocols it's understandable. After all was said and done, we took home our leftovers home to enjoy at a later time. The service was friendly and the size generous. Favorite Chinese take out and dine in place. Very fresh, super fast and always full of flavor. I love that their food is never greasy. And you never feel cheated on ingredients. It's been awhile since we did Chineses takeout. I don't recommend China Tango. The red flags started with the order. I placed the order for pickup. I got an immediate call back telling me order would be ready in 5 minutes. So basically you're telling me not to expect hot food. The hubby went and picked it up. We ordered Ma Po Tofu. It was colder than room temperature. We also got green beans - they were way over salted and barely tepid. The sauce congealing already. Finally we got crispy beef. It was at least warm and edible. If you are looking for buffet style chinese take out, this is the place. The food is always delicious and piping hot. They have a lunch special from 11 AM to 4 PM with most of the items under $9.99. They always provide speedy service and are pleasant. We once ordered food for our office, about 18 people, and it was ready within 20 minutes. If you purchase $15 or more then you get 2 free eggrolls. We purchase $30 worth of food and we had an option of either free lo mein or free chicken fried rice. read more

In my search to find good Chinese take-out, I decided on this place after seeing delicious looking pictures and a 4 star rating. Sadly, this did not meet my expectations at all. We placed our order over the phone for pickup. Our food was ready when we got there and we were excited to get home so we could eat. The food was just bleh. All of it was just bleh. The chow mein had no flavor; absolutely none. All I could taste was oily noodles. The orange chicken was mostly just tempura batter. The chicken pieces we did get were rubbery. It was just an overall soggy mess. The shrimp with vegetables was equally terrible. The shrimp was over cooked and had a fishy taste to it. The beef broccoli was decent but nothing spectacular. It had a good beef to broccoli ratio. And the white rice was dry and tasted old. Ugh, I guess I'm comparing my idea of Chinese takeout to this place in SoCal that's near my family's place. Needless to say, I haven't found my spot here in Vegas yet. Our dinner here was definitely not worth $40. I could have gone to Panda Express and spent less. By far the best Chinese food around! You can't beat it, they give you good sizes along with it has the best flavor and seasoning around! I usually get the eggplant and fried tofu and it is my absolute favorite! It is not too spicy but has just enough kick along with you can taste all the flavors! The fried rice is good but nothing to brag about but we always come here when we want Chinese. I had this last minute craving for crispy honey walnut shrimp, so I took to Yelp to find the nearest spot that offered that. From the many pics of past customers who also ordered this from China Tango, the pictures looked promising... I called in my take out order and within 15 minutes I arrived to pick it up. China Tango is located in the Smith's shopping center a few doors down from Rubio's. There's a decent amount of parking directly in the front. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side with about 8 tables inside. Customer service is decent. So let's talk food: 1) Honey Walnut Shrimp- I would give this 3.5 stars. The shrimps weren't as crispy as I like. This may be because I didn't dig into them right away. Might give them another try. Too much sauce was also found on the shrimp. Oh and this is expensive, $11.99 for this dish. 2) Mongolian Beef- xxxspicy! This was also just okay for me. Too much sauce, wasn't spicy at all and there were noodles with this? Weird. The meat was slithery. Man, I really wished this was good. All in all, I don't think this will be my go to Chinese restaurant- still on the look out for my go to. This restaurant has a long history of having their Yelp listed website reroute orders to a 3rd party, which in turn tacks on additional fees to process an online take out order (see my previous reviews for more details). The website that Yelp is currently listing now for this restaurant, is under the name chinatangobistro.com. Although this sounds like, and looks like, the actual China Tango restaurant's website...in reality, it is not...it's actually a website that routes your order to a third party called Menufy.com, who will tack on an additional convenience fee to your online take out order. Ironically, if you click on the red icon "Start Order" button (listed just above the chinatangobistro.com link) , it routes your order to a different third party, which is run by grubhub (grubhub is currently not adding on extra fees for takeout, but they do add surcharges for delivery). Do yourself a favor, if you want to order food from this restaurant, just call them directly...DON'T ORDER ONLINE!!!!!....because there are so many third party websites on the internet for this restaurant, that if you use one them, you are most likely going to get ripped off, as they will unnecessarily over-inflate your bill. I am giving this restaurant a 1 star, because after a year since I originally discovering this problem, they have not resolved the issue. 12/5 Update: Last Night, Yelp changed this restaurant's website link to chinatangohenderson.com (I can only assume they did this, based on my previous complaint). Although this website is run by another third party company (called Beyondmenu.com), chinatangohenderson.com is the website that actually appears on China Tango Bistro's take out menu (see picture of take out menu on a previous review). I tested this website to see if any additional fees were added to the take out orders, and none were (however, I did not submit the orders, so additional fees could potentially be placed on the final step of submission). In light of all this, my original recommendation stays the same: For at least a year, there have been many different third party companies linked to this restaurant (some charged additional fees, some didn't)....so just to be safe, don't use the online ordering feature....just call your order in directly to the restaurant. However, if you do order online, please keep in mind your not dealing directly with the restaurant.....which means, if you have any problems with your order, your going to have to fight it out with the third party company the food was ordered through. read more

Second try delivery at a new local Chinese restaurant nearby. Since COVID-19, we've been trying delivery at lots of different restaurants and China Tango is our second Chinese restaurant. Honestly another let down for me. The photos looked very promising and reviews didn't seem bad so we decided to give it a try. We ordered through UberEats and the delivery was fast and left at door as instructed. We ordered the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Wings, Fish Filet w/ Black Bean Sauce, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Chicken Chow Fun. Everything except the chow fun and wings were in the Chinese takeout boxes which led to soggy food. I've never seen or tasted such soggy and mushy Mongolian beef. The fish filet was also so-so and the orange chicken same. The orange chicken was soggy and mushy with 80% breading and some of the dark meat pieces had the chicken poultry smell. Not very pleasant. The chicken wings weren't crispy and you could also notice the spices. So if you're not a fan of food that taste of strong spices, you might want to pass on the chicken wings.
