LOYALTY MEANS NOTHING AT THIS PLACE! We have been loyal patrons of both China Tango and China GO-GO for years. On our last visit ($75 to go order) my husband grabbed the bags he was instructed to take from the counter. When my husband arrived across town to bring our family the food we all ordered- He left as he was needing to look into some work things, he then realized he had 6 missed calls and a text message from China Tango. The messages were all the same "This is China Tango/ did you take a bowl and plate with a soup in it? That is my lunch I need it back thank you" My husband called China Tango to apologize and let them know he would check make sure our family set aside whatever we hadn't ordered, and to my husband's surprise China Tango responded SUPER RUDE and accusatory! We offered to bring back the bowl and plate. This was all an obvious mistake. Nevertheless China Tango set aside and discarded years of our loyalty over something so petty. China Tango made it seem as though we were considering keeping a plate and bowl we didn't order! The only time we will EVER set foot in this establishment again is to return the bowl and plate that my husband brought home in error. Note: the bowl and plate are MAYBE worth a combined total of $3.00. Which I can confidently say is much less than the hundreds if not thousands of dollars we have spent at this restaurant. Shame on China Tango and the lack of professionalism. I'm a Customer Service professional and I will be using this bad experience of how NOT TO EVER treat any customers. I used to love going to this place to order the orange chicken lunch special. Today, as I was eating, I noticed a piece of the chicken that was sticking up and really hard. I moved it around with my fork and noticed how it was oddly shaped like a mouse. I immediately took it back and asked to speak to the manager. I showed him this pic of the mystery meat. He laughed in my face and said "That's not mouse." I demanded my money back and asked for corporate's number. He said that they don't have a corporate number because they're family-owned. As I got my money back, the manager spoke to his employees in Chinese and they all laughed showing clear lack of concern in their customers. After years of living next to this place and ordering from them at least once a month, I had to update the 4 start to a 5-star. Their delicious food help us feed the whole family during the whole Covid-19 shutdown. I still had to work and my husband is not a skilled cook. China Tango was always fast, fresh and Delicious every time! I was actually really surprised at how delicious their eggplant with tofu was. If you haven't tried it yet, please do! It's packed with so much flavor and depth. For the price, it's a lot of food. Also try their orange beef. I think it's better than orange chicken. This doesn't look like a chain, more like a mom and pop shop. They're always friendly and nice to us. read more

Very delicious !!! Tried the Mongolian beef with fried rice and it was absolutely amazing. Swapped green onions instead of the bell peppers and it tasted very very good. Probably my favorite Chinese dish to order. The meat here is very yummy and has a good consistency, their fried rice was amazing. We also tried their veggie egg rolls and when you sit and eat they give you their wonton chips which are quite yummy. Portions are huge, we often share a plate when we come. The food comes out very fast btw, 5-10 mins max usually. Service is very friendly. I Highly recommend this place, especially over like Panda Express. Much more authentic and delicious. I've salsa'd, flapped the funky chicken, but never done the China Tango. This is a typical fast food Chinese place, over salted meals and quick service, but sometimes you just gotta succumb to the call of MSG. I actually thought this place was pretty good, although not something I would eat everyday. I sat and was immediately greeted with water and fried wonton shells and a sweetened dipping sauce. These were a nice little touch for a dine-in fast food place, especially since I was starving! I ordered the Crab Rangoon, which is a fried wonton with cream cheese and crab meat inside. These pretty much tasted like fried cream cheese and there was barely any crab meat inside. The little crab meat I did find I'm pretty sure was from a can. Not my favorite. After I snacked on Crab Rangoon the main course arrived. Ma Po Tofu with Pork and I swapped out the rice for Chow Mein noodles. This dish was huge! It had mounds of noodles and a full plate of spicy tofu and pork. This was a lot better than I thought it might be especially after the "Crab Rangooning" that happened moments earlier. The tofu was cooked prefect and melted in my mouth, pork was very flavorful, but I wish it was cut into bigger chunks instead of minced pieces. Still very good and very spicy! The Chow Mein substitute was a good call. These were a perfect compliment to the spicy tofu/pork plate. They were soft and seasoned perfectly, I could have eaten a plate of these noodles by themselves. China Tango is great spot for a quick bite, but I wouldn't frequent it unless I wanted to go into a sodium induced coma. read more

They have good food, and the taste is amazing. I do carry out all the time, and the food is cooked with in minutes no long period of waiting time. China Tango is one of the better Chinese joints I've been to in recent years. You'll probably have to go to China Town for better Chinese fare. FOOD: 4/5. -The sweet and sour pork was delicious. The only thing bad about it was the excessive amount of breading. -If I had one last meal, their crab rangoon would be my appetizer. It's basically a deep fried wonton with imitation crab and cream cheese inside. It was delicious. -Perhaps the best thing about China Tango IMO is their sweet and sour sauce. It's mildly sweet and mildly sour, and was balanced out perfectly. At other Chinese restaurants I tend to ask for an extra side of hot mustard to balance out their sweet and sour sauce. SERVICE: 4/5. -I asked the dude that worked at the counter how long it would take. He estimated 6-7 minutes. I think it took around 10 minutes. Overall they were friendly. AMBIENCE: 3/5. -Imagine clean fast food joint. That's pretty much it. There is outdoor seating, not for any one particular restaurant. We haven't been to China Tango during Covid. We decide to stop n get 2 lunch special to go. My husband ordered while I stepped away. The counter guy chose to misinterpret what my husband was ordering. I think because my husband is a Caucasian, and he tries not to create a scene, he just paid for the food not knowing what he was paying for. We took the food home n was not happy. We did get the 2 lunch specials minus the white rice n chow mein I asked for; but we also had full orders of "house fried rice" and "combo chow mein" each. We did not ask for these items. Both these dishes had shrimp in them - a few pieces of shrimp in each - but we had to throw them out ... I am severely allergic to shrimp. We did not eat the food because I was fearful of cross contamination. We will not go back n do not recommend. read more

There aren't many good Chinese restaurants in the area, especially for delivery. I noticed China Tango had four stars on here, so I gave it a try. I placed an online order and my food arrived 25 minutes later. It was so fast that when my doorbell rang, I was shocked and even asked "who is it?" because I didn't think it could be my dinner lol. The delivery guy was very nice and prepared with a pen and receipt. I ordered the dinner for one so I could get a little variety to try. It comes with an entree, rice or noodles, soup, and a small appetizer. I chose general tso's chicken, fried rice, and crab rangoon. (I'm not a big soup fan) the Rangoon didn't come with the usual red sauce, which was a let down. Everything else was pretty good for the price. Keep in mind, this is fast food Chinese! I found this place on Yelp. It had good food reviews, and I was mainly looking for Won Ton Soup (it was terrific)! I also ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, a chicken teriyaki bowl, a vegetable bowl, sweet & sour chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, stir fried rice, spring rolls and sautéed vegetables. My order was ready in 15 minutes for pick-up. They put the sauces on the side so my food didn't get soggy. The portions were a good size. I ordered extra sweet & sour chicken, and with the amount of steamed rice and left over vegetables, I have lunch for tomorrow! I read something about a hijacked web page on one of the Yelp Reviews. I went to my computer and googled China Tango Bistro. Selected items and was sent to checkout. It was beyondmenu.com that provided the checkout for their website. I later received a text asking which location I was going to. I didn't realize they had two and texted back. I went to the one on Green Valley Pkwy., it's hidden in the corner of the Smith's shopping plaza! Their other location is in Anthem.I had no issue ordering online and no up charge that I saw. Cheap, mediocre but it takes care of a Chinese food craving. Lunch specials are a great deal and they last until 4pm. I ordered take-out shrimp chop suey, which came with chow mein and fried rice. The total was about $7 bucks-ish. Remember, they don't give you condiments unless you ask, so don't forget! The shrimp chop suey was decent and flavorful. There were plenty of vegetables, which was delicious. The shrimp was bit tough, which was my only complaint for this dish. The chow mein noodles and fried rice were very bland. I wasn't too crazy about it. When I walked in to grab the food, the service wasn't all that great. Not personable. That automatically made me late picking up the food. We ordered family dinner A plus potstickers: This place was super stingy with the chicken that should have accompanied the chicken lo mein. There was literally only five small pieces of chicken in the lo mein. It was 98% all noodles. The noodles were bland and lacked flavor, they were a gummy consistency as if they were made earlier in the day and then rewarmed for delivery. I only been to this establishment three times and this the first time I've experienced food like this, I ordered the Singapore noodles with extra shrimp the pot stickers and crab rangoon. My noodles were rubbery and oily with an strong msg aftertaste and the crab rangoon was over cooked. The reason why I gave them one star is because I couldn't give them a negative star. I ordered the lunch special for takeout yesterday. I had the General chicken and chow mein. This was unlike other General chicken that I have had in my life. The General chicken that I had in the past was sweet and soy saucy with green onions. This had a batter around the chicken, was fried, and had a orangey-colored sauce. I think the cook was lazy and smothered the chow mein with the sauce that the General chicken was in. Not much vegetables in the chow mein. I have never had a chow mein like this! read more

We've ordered here many a time. While I think most Chinese food is mediocre at best and can be comparable to Panda Express, China Tango is much better than that! They make really flavorful dishes that taste very fresh. We are always pleased with our orders from here and have no desire for any other Chinese food place. Love China Tango!! We ordered takeout through GrubHub. Everything was actually very delicious. I get skeptical when it comes to Chinese food. Sometimes the quality is not all there, but I'm glad we ordered. Got crab wontons, shrimp in spicy garlic sauce, Moo Shu pork, and the pork and shrimp vermicelli noodle (can't remember exact name). Everything delicious but too much white rice. These are great price points but I would pay more because it's pretty tasty. I'm used to smaller portions. Already had seconds for lunch and still have leftovers. Lol. Not always a bad thing. Thanks. This is one of our favorite restaurants!! My wife and I go there all the time. They give you a lot of shrimp or mead on their dishes, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is very good. In general, their portions are very nice in size. I hate it when they bring you a dish, and there are only 3 shrimps, yet they charge you a lot. China Tango is NOT like that at all, and the opposite of that. It's a very small place, so most people pick up food to go to, but we eat there all the time. I love the spicy chicken wings, the sweet corn soup, and the garlic shrimp dishes. They should call this place Kitty tango, because that's what it tasted like. We got the lunch special orange chicken with chow mein, and also sweet-and-sour pork with chow mein. The positive was the chow mein noodles were actually OK, but as far as the meat in both of those dishes, either somebody's cat is missing, or they went dumpster diving! It was beyond mystery meat! It was completely inedible! Probably one of the top three worst things I've ever attempted to ingest in my life! NASTY! We both looked at each other and spit it out simultaneously! When I called to complain, the manager said "if you don't like your food, bring it back, we will give you a refund " When I explained to him that we live on the other side of town and we had stopped there on the way home because we had eaten there before and thought it was OK and that we would not be coming back because of the distance and the fact that we already threw our food in the trash he basically told me tough Sh*t!
