35. Shrimp Lo Mein
Sadman B.

Must orders- chicken and broccoli, hands down the best in Lynbrook. The sauce is great, always plenty of it, good portion of chicken and broccoli for both lunch and dinner. Lo mein is another must order, great noodle bite, has veggies and protein of choice. The shrimp fried rice with fried chicken wings is another great order! Accepts both cash and card. Restaurant still follows Covid procedures. Check this place out, great small business.

This place is always a hot or miss you never know what your in store for!! One day the food is just ok eatable but nothing special and the day is so bad you can't even eat it! They take no pride in making your food they just throw it together and you get what you get! And then they expect you to eat it. I order some dumplings after not ordering from them in months and they weren't burnt , or falling apart this time they were like little greasy balls of YUCK! I returned them and they tried to give me $5.00 back when they coast $7.75 and then had the nerve to catch an attitude when I asker where is the rest of my money. The owner then had the nerve to tell me " you don't come here no more"!!! Like I would every order from China Star again! Lol not to mention her they take your money and not once when you say thank you do you get a reply a simple "your welcome " from her or her 9 year old daughter!!! This place is a disappointment time after time even when you take a 4 month vacation from them ... Nothing changes, disgusting food and the worst customer service EVER!!!! I now order from FUWAI Kitchen two blocks away! Never disappointed!

The worst bourbon chicken

This is the worst bourbon chicken I've ever tasted in my life..aside from it looking nothing as advertised its disgusting and looks like nothing but greasy clumps of chicken skin. I just wasted my money and have no dinner now.

Lo mein at many other restaurants are dry and bland but here they are really saucy and they do not skim on the meat.

I have seen this place for years and never went in. Now I love love me some Chinese food and they…read moredidn't disappoint. My parents introduced me to this place and they go every Sunday after church. So yesterday (Sunday) I joined them. We were greeted by friendly staff but again my parents come every Sunday so they were friendly because they know them. But I think they do well because people were coming in and the place has been serving clientele for 30+ years.. The inside is very spacious and nicely decorated and maintained. The food we had reminded me of Chinatown (Wo Hop on Mott St). We ordered pork mei fun, veggie mei fun, General Tao's chicken, spicy prawn dish and broccoli w/ garlic sauce Oh and we started with hot and sour soup and wonton soup. We also had these crispy chips on the table with some good sauces ( chili paste, hot mustard and duck sauce) to dip. Services was super quick and plentiful. Everything arrived hot and tasty. We were all beyond satisfied. I can see why my parents come every Sunday and why they have been around all these years. If you're near Lynbrook come on by. I will take pictures next time because this time I was hungry. ‍

What a hidden unassuming GEM, right in the middle of Franklin Square! This restaurant is family…read moreowned/run and has been in business for about 2 years. The restaurant is smallish and can probably seat up to 18ppl. This is a unique Harbin restaurant (the Capital region of a Providence in Northeast China). This authentic cuisine is hard to find; even in Flushing, Queens! On their store awning, it states "We Make Real Chinese Food".... They ain't kidding!! Note: Closed on Tuesdays! We went for lunch on a Saturday, and the restaurant was full of Asian people. There was a steady flow of Asians the entire 2.5 hrs we were there! (Yes, we had a leisurely 2.5 hr lunch; catching up with friends from out of town. lol) Our menu (shared by 4 adults, 1 child): -- House Special Dumplings ($18/12pcs): we ordered these boiled. Tasty; especially with the chili sauce and vinegar. -- Sauteed Tofu Sheet w.Chili Peppers $18: traditional Northeast China dish. Good but would have been better with more chili peppers. We added chili oil for an extra kick. -- Double Cooked Pork w.Sweet & Sour Sauce $20: Excellent dish! Preparation is very unique! There was no actual sweet & sour "sauce" but rather, the sweet & sour condiments were cooked into the batter of the pork. Loved this dish! Get this! -- Mala Lamb Ribs $28: Another Excellent dish! The spicy and numbing Mala taste was obvious without being overly spicy. Great flavors, Great texture. Get this! -- Pork Fried Noodles $15: All noodles are hand-pulled on-site, with noodle chefs having over 20 years of experience. This dish was made with just ONE very long noodle! Served with a pair of scissors. lol Great texture, and soooo satisfying! Even better with some chili oil! This had limited protein but a good dish nonetheless. -- Northeastern Style Braised Pork Elbow $36: Excellent dish! Huge portion. Perfectly braised, fall-off-the bone deliciousness. It was slightly salty, so definitely eat this with some rice. Get this! -- Rice ($2/bowl): entrees do NOT come with rice, so order on the side. -- Condiments: on each table, there is a condiments tray consisting of chili oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt/pepper. Definitely try their chili oil and vinegar. This really enhanced the flavors of the food. But some of the dishes didn't need condiments at all, and were terrific as served. Customer service was so warm, welcoming and friendly! They are happy to answer any questions you may have, and offered great suggestions. So, if you've never had Harbin Cuisine before, peruse the 6 page menu and ask questions before ordering! Lots of great dishes on their menu! Parking: street parking is available (in front and on the side road). They do have a small parking lot in back but spots are limited since it's a shared lot. Looking forward to a return visit to explore their menu. What a treat!! Thanks to Y&Z for a wonderful 1st experience at your restaurant!

The Lanzhou noodle soup was delicious. The soup itself was slightly different in color from what I…read moream used to but the flavor is about the same. There is a certain taste to lzbns which is described as "xian", and this soup has it. The pork sauerkraut dumplings were also great, as a Northeastern Chinese (Harbin) restaurant, the dumplings were as chonky as I expected with great wrapper texture. They give free pickled veg (pickled with Sichuan peppercorns!) and watermelon as well. Staff was attentive, I came on a Sunday dinner 630pm, was quiet, mostly takeout orders. Wonderful restaurant, definitely eat in if you can for the freshest experience.
