I ordered the áp chảo, thinking it would be soft, stir-fried rice noodles, but it actually came with deep-fried crispy noodles. Our server was so kind and took the time to explain it to us. Even better, they brought out an extra side of soft noodles for our daughters. Such a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated! Our toddler ended up LOVING the crunchy noodles--and honestly, so did we! This was my first time having áp chảo this way, and it was surprisingly delicious. Definitely something I'll be craving again! The restaurant is also spacious, clean, and has plenty of comfortable seating, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We all ordered meat on the side along with the accompaniments of sliced onions and green onions in oil. I was surprised they generously provided us all with individual sliced onion plates. They did forget our vegetables like beansprouts and basils since they were so busy watching the game so I had to remind them. Other than that the portions are generous and the pricing is affordable. Then another couple walked in with a child who was completely quiet, and this SAME waiter still felt the need to say something to them about their child. That confirmed for us that the problem wasn't our kids being disruptive, he clearly had some kind of issue with children being in the restaurant at all. I'm not sure if he thinks he's working at some exclusive adults-only restaurant in Beverly Hills, but families shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable simply for bringing their children out to eat. If children are allowed in the restaurant, they should be treated like welcome guests, not like an inconvenience. It's unfortunate because one employee's attitude can completely ruin an otherwise good dining experience. Management seriously needs to address this because no family should spend their money somewhere only to be treated this way.
