I went in for the first time and got the General Taos chicken lunch special. The place is rather small on the inside and the paint and chairs could use a bit of freshening up. The lady at the counter took my order but didn't really interact much with me. So my food came out in the to-go box and I could tell there was a-lot of food there. Ate the egg roll on the way home. It was okay. A little too much cabbage inside. So I had a hard time eating this place. With tax, it was a little over $8 and I got enough food that both my wife and I could have enough to eat. 4 stars for food value. The general Taos chicken was good but the chicken fried rice and egg roll were just okay. So overall a three for food taste. Would I drive out of my way to go here, no. If I worked in the area, sure. read more

Aside from my bad pics the food was great! Reminds me of the Chinese food from 88 buffet! The service was quick and the people were super polite. The food is made fresh to order as well! The inside of the restaurant isn't much but they do have table if you would like to eat in. read more

I created an o line order to pay upon arrival. I noticed the health rating as 95 as I entered the restaurant. They had my order ready and accurate. We all loved our meals. Orange chicken with white rice Tofu broccoli with vegetable lo mein Shrimp and snow peas with vegetable lo mein and two vegetable egg rolls. All very tasty! read more

Really awesome lunch specials! This place has definitely stepped it up with COVID and the way they are processing orders and payments. They are taking serious precautions and everyone is practicing the safety guidelines. I love the PuPu platter, honestly the best guilty pleasure there is. It's like all of the perfect appetizers thrower into one box to share amongst everyone. Their wings are deep fried perfection and the crab/cream cheese wontons, or the crab stick or scallops, all of these are delicious. Served with some sweet and sour sauce, it just makes the perfect guilty pleasure. The general Tao is really good, the chicken is crispy and the sauce is a great touch. The friend rice that comes with the lunch is just meh. Nothing special at all, but if you eat the soup, the chicken, and some pupu platter then save the rice to doctor up as a leftover the next day, that takes it to a whole new level. Overall I love this place is in Meridianville and it's one of two Chinese type places, so it's a great option. I will definitely be back! read more

Food was good, but it gave us all stomach issues. I'm guessing all that goodness in directly proportional to the amount of MSG used

The food was tasteless, no seasoning at all. It was never great, but it seems like it has gotten worse.

Ok...this place used to make GREAT food...then it became good food, then mediocre and now it's just plain terrible! It's bad enough I get the chow mai fun and have to add soy sauce, fish sauce and sesame oil to make it have any flavour. They used to put in generous meat and veg in this dish...now? About 3 shrimp, an egg and some shreds of carrot. But the absolute last straw is that they have been reducing the curry powder in this for ages putting less and less in...now they have left it out altogether and replaced it with chilli oil. Heat and NO flavour! Our other dishes were just as bad...almost no meat or veg in either the Mongolian beef, Mongolian chicken or curried chicken. Just plates full of onion as shown. Onions cost what? About $1 or less for one? Nice trick...replace all meat and vegetables with straight onion. Absolutely ridiculous given the prices! Chow mai fun is about $12? We ordered the Mongolian Chicken Combination, Mongolian Beef combination, Quart of Curried Chicken, Chicken on a Stick, Singapore Chow Mai Fun and Dumplings. Cost...$56! For two combo meals of flavoured onion and one plate of noodles. Dumplings were ok. Chicken on stock ok but burnt. Fried rice was basically boiled rice with something to make it brown. Zero flavour. We have been loyal customers for many years...17 in fact but we won't be back. read more

Excellent quality of authentic Chinese food. Large variety of menu items. Will return again!

The food is very basic Chinese fare, but having spent time in the SF Bay Area, it's a bit too basic. There are better restaurants who use more and better quality ingredients in the dishes. It's fine if you just want a simple and quick meal of edible food. read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Huntsville/Meridianville area. Well worth the drive. The staff is wonderful and the food is phenomenal! Can't beat china one! read more

I have lived in Meridianville since 1983 and never ate at China one until the last month! It is better than any place in Huntsville! Very reasonable, excellent! Would recommend highly!!! read more

Great prices and good food. It is typical Americanized Chinese food but they always do a good job and give a great value for the money. I usually stretch o e meal into three. read more

Fried Wontons are great, this pairs well with the rest of the menu. Fast service at a fair price.

Great food. Only thing I'll say is order it ahead of time do t go in order and wait. They don't use AC and in Alabama you roast like the chicken next door at Publix lol. Great food though! read more

Best takeout around. Only downside, no seating anymore they sell ribs Wednesdays and Friday lunch. So delicious

Some of the best egg foo young I've ever had. Dumplings were amazing too. Tried for the first time today and will definitely be back

I'm not impressed with the food and they have no customer service skills at all. Unfortunately, is the only option for "Chinese" food.

Go to for Chinese food. love it! We always order pickup from here, there's tons of food and it's always delicious.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Alabama. It's constantly delicious I've been in Huntsville for 17 years and been eating this food since I found them in Meridianville. 10 years of consistently delicious food highly recommended!! Great people and generous read more

The food was really good. I had the General So chicken. Everything went well until after the meal. It gave me three bouts of explosive diarrhea. The first bout I was at my boyfriends parents house, it was highly embarrassing. I could see little pieces of rice in some of the splatter that's how I know it was the Chinese food. read more

Consistently great food, clean, good customer service. I've been going here for years. Would recommend!

Food was not good at all. Ordered orange chicken and it seemed as it was ketchup on it. The food had a horrible smell I couldn't even it it!

If you're north of Huntsville and want Chinese take-out, this is the place. The combos are enough to feed two people. Sometimes the egg drop soup is a little thick. And lately the Mongolian beef has had too many onions. If you are closer to Hazel Green, the Chinese place there has gotten much better than it was a few years ago and is arguably better than China One at this point. Though results may be inconsistent at times Update: Criticism here though not removing a star. The Mongolian beef is getting really heavy on the onions. We've stopped ordering it due to the Mongolian Onion issue. Actually, we've switched to the Chinese take-out in Hazel Green. read more

I eat here waaaay to much. Sorry not sorry ... the fried wontons is where it's at for me. The spicy dishes could be a little bit more spicy but I'll survive. I'm actually heading there in a little bit when I hit the Publix read more

Out of all the times, I've eaten there, I've never had a bad experience, until today. I ordered Mongolian Beef and got maybe 4 pieces if beef and the rest onion! Not even kidding you! I'll never go back again! Oh, and the woman that checked me out was rude! read more

Everything I've eaten was fresh and flavorful. The people are friendly and nice. I've never eaten there so I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like but I love their food. read more

The food is incredibly greasy, even for chinese. Every time I order sesame chicken I get teriyaki chicken with cabbage. I've seen the roof leaking just above the food prep area during rain. read more

Consistently great food every time we eat there. Extremely good service and everything it packed nicely to get it home.

Food here is good! Never had been sick from this place (That I know of). They changed their attitude lately, main reason why this place doesn't get a 5 star. Sweet and sour chicken is very good, and usually hot. Love it. Overall rating 4/5 read more

Best Chinese place before u get to Tenn. Never had bad food from them. They are also usually very fast with food preparation. If you haven't eaten here u should!!!!! read more
