I created an o line order to pay upon arrival. I noticed the health rating as 95 as I entered the restaurant. They had my order ready and accurate. We all loved our meals. Orange chicken with white rice Tofu broccoli with vegetable lo mein Shrimp and snow peas with vegetable lo mein and two vegetable egg rolls. All very tasty! read more

Really awesome lunch specials! This place has definitely stepped it up with COVID and the way they are processing orders and payments. They are taking serious precautions and everyone is practicing the safety guidelines. I love the PuPu platter, honestly the best guilty pleasure there is. It's like all of the perfect appetizers thrower into one box to share amongst everyone. Their wings are deep fried perfection and the crab/cream cheese wontons, or the crab stick or scallops, all of these are delicious. Served with some sweet and sour sauce, it just makes the perfect guilty pleasure. The general Tao is really good, the chicken is crispy and the sauce is a great touch. The friend rice that comes with the lunch is just meh. Nothing special at all, but if you eat the soup, the chicken, and some pupu platter then save the rice to doctor up as a leftover the next day, that takes it to a whole new level. Overall I love this place is in Meridianville and it's one of two Chinese type places, so it's a great option. I will definitely be back! read more

Ok...this place used to make GREAT food...then it became good food, then mediocre and now it's just plain terrible! It's bad enough I get the chow mai fun and have to add soy sauce, fish sauce and sesame oil to make it have any flavour. They used to put in generous meat and veg in this dish...now? About 3 shrimp, an egg and some shreds of carrot. But the absolute last straw is that they have been reducing the curry powder in this for ages putting less and less in...now they have left it out altogether and replaced it with chilli oil. Heat and NO flavour! Our other dishes were just as bad...almost no meat or veg in either the Mongolian beef, Mongolian chicken or curried chicken. Just plates full of onion as shown. Onions cost what? About $1 or less for one? Nice trick...replace all meat and vegetables with straight onion. Absolutely ridiculous given the prices! Chow mai fun is about $12? We ordered the Mongolian Chicken Combination, Mongolian Beef combination, Quart of Curried Chicken, Chicken on a Stick, Singapore Chow Mai Fun and Dumplings. Cost...$56! For two combo meals of flavoured onion and one plate of noodles. Dumplings were ok. Chicken on stock ok but burnt. Fried rice was basically boiled rice with something to make it brown. Zero flavour. We have been loyal customers for many years...17 in fact but we won't be back. read more

The food is very basic Chinese fare, but having spent time in the SF Bay Area, it's a bit too basic. There are better restaurants who use more and better quality ingredients in the dishes. It's fine if you just want a simple and quick meal of edible food. read more

The food was really good. I had the General So chicken. Everything went well until after the meal. It gave me three bouts of explosive diarrhea. If you're north of Huntsville and want Chinese take-out, this is the place. The combos are enough to feed two people. Sometimes the egg drop soup is a little thick. And lately the Mongolian beef has had too many onions. If you are closer to Hazel Green, the Chinese place there has gotten much better than it was a few years ago and is arguably better than China One at this point. Though results may be inconsistent at times Update: Criticism here though not removing a star. The Mongolian beef is getting really heavy on the onions. We've stopped ordering it due to the Mongolian Onion issue. Actually, we've switched to the Chinese take-out in Hazel Green. read more
