Just let me say, I travel all over North America and I've eaten nearly once a week at a local Chinese restaurant wherever I might be. My go to is usually chicken or beef kung pao. I ordered it here and I must say never have I gotten breaded chicken in Kung Pao chicken. It should be thin strips of chicken, not heavily breaded bits of chicken. This is just Wrong! Either a mistake was made, or the cook doesn't know what they're doing. I would like to know from management if this is common practice here or just an error. read more

Wow!! We needed a great Chinese place to eat and this is it. Of course we're in the middle of the lockdown so I cannot speak for the inside, but they met me at the door with our order. Roast pork egg roll, bbq spare ribs, black pepper chicken, pork fried rice, and chicken and broccoli. All the items were fresh, hot and full of flavor. We like spicy so we asked for hot and we got it. I cannot say one negative thing about this place food wise. The best I've ever had was a hole in the wall place in San Francisco and this is right up there with it. The broccoli was fresh not frozen, the fried rice had carrots, onions, peas, and some tasty morsels of pork just like fried rice should be. Great. Great. Great. read more

Typical Chinese menu plus a few Thai dishes. They have recently added sushi to their menu. I've enjoyed the Chinese items and sushi. I didn't care for their Pad Thai but the other items I've ordered have been great. This is a family business and I'd encourage you to give them a try. read more

China Cafe suffers from inconsistency but can be very good. Edit: Their egg drop soup has gotten remarkably better. We are now just as likely to get food here as the one in Meridianville since the Chinese place in Meridianville is getting very heavy-handed on the onions in the Mongolian Beef and the drive is longer. Glad I went back last night for a take-out order. Food was much better then the buffet selections I sampled three weeks ago. Brought home a pint of Beef Lo Mein, an order of Sweet & Sour chicken, an order of chicken on a stick appetizer, and a couple of egg rolls -- everything was very tasty, we'll definitely order take-out from the China Cafe in Hazel Green again. read more

It was about what one would expect from a strip mall-type Chinese restaurant. The prices are great and the food quality was so-so.. The portions are a nice size and I eat her once every month or so. The food is cooked fast. As long as you go into the restaurant expecting typical fast-food chinese, you'll be fine.. Just don't go in expecting PF Changs. :) read more

Great food! Was so happy they were open during Coronavirus. I couldn't find anothern Chinese store open at the time and for my daughters bday she really wanted chinese food. It was quality food, made fresh, and was priced really well. Sometimes chinese food can be really expensive when you order for 5 people, but this place was perfect! read more

This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at, my favorite one to go to. I live in Huntsville and I will drive to Hazel Green just to get their Chinese food. The food is always good, better when you sit down and eat, and it's always hot, and it stays hot for a long time after ordering to-go. The service is always friendly! The food from this place is disgusting. I ordered the general tso's chicken meal and the "chicken" was pretty much all breading (what wasn't breading was a mixture of white and dark meat -- gross), the rice was soggy and had a stale taste and the egg roll was dripping with grease. The "meal" was completely indelible and went straight into the trash. I will NEVER eat this disgusting food ever again. read more

This place used to be so good for several years. My dog wouldn't even eat the food I ordered the past few times we ordered it has been absolutely nasty. It's dry way to sweet and rubbery. We will not be going here again. The crab Rangoon was like eating pure sugar and way too greasy, the coconut shrimp was bone dry it's hardly no sauce on it which was straight mayonnaise with tiny shrimp way over breaded.
