This spot was the only restaurant open during first night of the winter storm 02/15. It looked to a be husband and wife duo only that night and boy were they cranking out orders. You are able to enter the restaurant, instead there's a plexiglass window used to talk and retrieve food. The lady was so kind and cheery! I mean, she skipped to the window and gave the happiest "hello!" The food didn't take long to cook and it was delicious! Perfectly hot for a cold day

Located at the end of a shopping center, is this little restaurant. They open at 10:30 which is a plus because a lot of restaurants don't open until 11. And for people like us who wake up early we like to eat lunch early. The food was packed with flavor, fresh and came out fast.

Rounding up from 4.5! Solid takeout Chinese food with terrific service! The lady that was working behind the counter was so friendly and cheerful! Made me feel all warm inside especially since we went when it was chilly and raining outside! My family and I tried some of the many vegetarian options. Specifically, we ordered the vegetable lo mein, broccoli and green beans, vegetable chow fun, and bean curd. Everything was very tasty, not too salty, and good portions for the price! It came out quickly and fresh! There are coupons on the back of the menu and we used one that gave us a free egg drop soup with a purchase over $20. The egg drop soup was only mediocre, but it was free so can't really complain too much! We definitely had a good amount of leftovers to eat the next day. Would come back if I'm in the area again!

Food was average. No complaints. They have lots of safety precautions for COVID-19. You cannot go inside. They have a make-shift window and make exchange of money and food through a plastic covered window. Egg roll was good!

We love Chine One!! It is the best Chinese food in Lafayette. It is always hot and fresh and so worth the price! Plus, the owners are such good people and always so kind to us. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

We picked this restaurant from the positive reviews online. It did not disappoint. Both my father and I got the lunch special of Sweet and Sour Chicken, the Sweet & Sour sauce was heated and came with pork fried rice and a choice of soup or egg roll. I picked Egg Drop Soup and also opted to add an egg roll for only $1. Every lunch meal was about $6, and the food was good, but was on par with fast food or mall chinese food. The woman who greets you and takes your order couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. The sweet & sour chicken was good, there was a lot of breading, around the chicken. The sweet & sour sauce was tasty, as was the pork fried rice. The best was the tasty egg roll.

After grabbing lunch at China One for the first time, I'd say the food was above average but not astounding. I got the Szechuan Style Shrimp with pork fried rice, pork egg roll, and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was amazing, easily one of the best I've ever had. The Szechuan Shrimp however was just okay. The portions were filling but it was mainly vegetables. There was 4 (16-20) count shrimp and it was pretty obvious that it wasn't Louisiana Gulf Shrimp. The sauce was okay, not super flavorful, I'd like to try some of the more common sauces next time. The egg roll was large but had so little pork that it really needs to just be called a vegetable egg roll. The texture was great though, nice and crispy. Last but not least is the pork fried rice. Plenty of pork in the rice, it had a great flavor, but I personally like my fried rice with more soy sauce and grease. It was an above average fried rice but not near the top either. The lady working the counter spoke great English and was super friendly. This place is favored by a lot of people and I can assure you the customer service plays a big part in it. I'll be coming back for sure and would like to try different dishes.

We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant and were seated immediately by a friendly employee who also acted as our server. The aesthetic is simple and clean with some Asian vibes but chairs with french words, so a bit of a mix. We ordered a lot of different things to try, sorry I didn't take more photos. The broth for the wonton soup was incredibly garlicky and flavorful. Potstickers were as expected. Scallion pancakes were hot, crispy, and delish. Pork intestines were an adventurous order and they were surprisingly good. Chicken with black pepper and double cooked pork slices were super flavorful. Sweet and sour ribs were tender and more complex than anticipated. Baby bok choy and green beans were really nice quality and huge portions. The chicken fried rice was some of the best I've had. The server was attentive and helpful with questions. We have enough leftover for another meal, and the prices were fair for the quality. We will return!
