The food tastes pretty good. I noticed the sweet & sour chicken was fried chicken but the sauce separately in ramekin containers like dipping. Not fond of that, so I didn't order, and can't account for taste. But everything else was great. Bought 3 lunches and some rangoons, cost less than $50. Portions are huge. Service was basic. The woman who took the order and filled the boxes wasn't overly friendly, but she was polite, smiled and did her job. She had a hard time hearing us, but she was easy to hear and understand from our side of the counter. The establishment and the workers appeared clean and well put together. This place has been here for years - and it's always been the same when I went in, service and food. And I've never gotten sick. read more

Hey merchant provided me today. The worst food I've ever had. First when she got here she took way longer than she said it took almost an hour for me to get my food when she quoted me a 20 minute arrival time for delivery and when I ate my food, I took one bite of everything and it was disgusting. The most disgusting thing was the eggrolls, chicken and teriyaki pork. I threw that shit back into a napkin after I bit it. My order consisted of two three-piece combos with orange chicken butter, shrimp chicken on a stick, spareribs chow mein, rice, sweet-and-sour chicken and cream cheese wontons. I don't know what type of Chinese food she was trying to serve, but she said it was so fresh when I called her. Yeah, I might've been horrible and disgusting. And as I don't understand how you can fried cheese wonton and they can be soggy and wet. I'm hoping to God that Wells Fargo helps me with that because the merchant would not issue me a refund, but she still picked up my food after telling me she wasn't going to, but I've heard she picks up food every time somebody doesn't like it so I left it in a cardboard box on my porch, which she showed up 20 minutes afterwards and yelled at me and my wife about how we she makes it fresh and everything. Yum Yum. So I 100% bet she's reserving that nasty fucking food so I'll be calling the California health department on this provider and probably the taft city police department. All I have to say is do not ever purchase from this nasty disgusting food merchant ever or you will regret it. I hope to the Lord that they might dispute goes through because if it doesn't and I have to get legal action, I'm putting it against her because I'm not going to be yelled at and I'm not gonna have my wife disrespected. The best chinese food in town!! Way better than P.F. Chang's! The orange chicken is suuuppppeer greasy just how I like it! You could tell the chow mein was a few days old which I loved that they don't waste a single noodle! I would beg them and pay all the money in the world to have them cater at my wedding. The bathroom was so dirty it made me feel right at home! It had the same grease as the orange chicken and toilet paper pieces all over the floor. Not what I was expecting. We were hungry and thought Chinese might be good. It was HOT inside. The orange chicken was not good (even my kids commented). The spring rolls were not fresh. I live in New England and was visiting Taft on business. I happened to stumble upon this restaurant by chance since I have zero knowledge of the area. Though my first instinct told me to look elsewhere for food, my hunger clouded my judgment. As soon as I walked in the restaurant I noticed that aside from some children running around, I was their only patron. This is typically not a good sign. Since it was only 11am I attributed the emptiness of the establishment to the fact it wasn't "lunch hour". Anyway, I sat down and I have a tradition that whenever I travel and I stop at a Chinese restaurant I always order the General Tso's chicken. The food arrived promptly which was the only positive experience I had. The chicken was way too sweet to be considered General Tso's chicken and the color was also of a yellow hue, not what you would expect. The portion was huge which I guess to some it would be considered a plus. I ate about half the plate including the soup that came with it. I went back to work, and immediately I need to run to the bathroom. Later that evening I went to bed and in the middle of the night woke up with a huge stomach ache and nausea. I only got about 1 hour of sleep. I can only attribute this to the Chinese food I ingested as I didn't eat anything else. I did not see a restaurant inspection rating anywhere, my guess is they're hiding it since it is probably an F. If you are a connoisseur of e-coli and salmonella, this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid it like the plague. I wonder how this place is still in business. read more
