Ordered for delivery on a Sunday night. They said 30-35 minutes but arrived within 25. Went with egg drop soup, broccoli & shrimp with white rice and spicy garlic sauce on the side, and szechuan chicken with white rice. All size small; meals were $9 each and soup $3.25. The portions seemed small when we took the food out the bag, but it was just the right amount to make you satisfied. Egg drop soup came with a nice size bag of the crunchy noodles. They provided utensils and napkins as well. There was a nice variety of vegetables and they were fresh, shrimp and chicken were good, and the white rice had a good flavor. The delivery person called, rang the bell, and started banging on the door yelling hello, even though we answered the phone when they first arrived and said we were coming to open the door. Got chicken broccoli which taste stale and the chicken noodle soup tasted like unfiltered tap water. Noodles were stick stuck together. There were a bunch of little food flies around the seating area and where the food is prepped. Been a customer for about 8 years but will not return anymore. The food is very lackluster here. The first few time I've tried it was good. Ive had better but since I'm in this area now. I was on the hunt for good quality Chinese food... & this is supposed to be one of the good ones in this neighborhood. The prices are also a lil steep (higher) than most places. But yesterday they did us wrong! I called for a delivery order for 2 meals shrimp & broc & chicken wings w/ plain chicken fried rice. Based off the phone call I knew our order was going to be wrong. The receptionist cannot comprehend & take orders correctly & mistaken our chicken wing order for 2 pieces instead of a full meal. Like who does that?? Why would we ask for 2 pieces of wing w/ rice? So when I saw the mishap after we had already paid for the food & had it delivered. I immediately called the restaurant bck for clarification. Since when do you guys serve only 2 wings in a meal with rice? They assumed that's what we wanted. So since they claimed that's what I was charged with we accepted that.. even tho that isn't what I ordered. Just to be fair... Now the wings were actually undercooked anyway. So we opted for a new fresh order of wings fried well done. Ofc the money hungry thieves didn't approve our request for a refund so the manager I spoke too said that they'll bring us a new batch of fresh wings. Ok cool right? So now I get a call from the delivery driver & as soon as we open our door this man sped off with our food! Unbelievable of this place. They are just money hungry thieves w/ no care for their customers & do not know how to run a business. The staff doesn't even know what their doing & cannot process information correctly. Do not show them any patronage. The food quality isn't even up to par. There was so much going on & frustration I couldn't even think to get any footage. The food in this place is poison. They put anything in their containers just to make a buck. when I came home, I opened the containers and it was unbelievable. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Horrible experience from this restaurant. This restaurant only takes cash no card but the restaurant said we could zelle them. Initially when we placed the order we paid for our exact food amount and zelled the tip immediately once our food was delivered. The delivery driver called saying he was outside then we zelled the restaurant a tip. We opened the door and saw the driver was parked infront my house. The delivery driver was sitting in the car yelling "come" from his car window. We were confused because we expected the food to be at the door. we had no shoes on to walk to the car. The man kept shouting come to the car and get your food since you have no money for tip. We were confused and appalled because we were being spoken to so abrasively. Lunch specials (and menu items) galore and your order will be prepared in a flash...unless it's a very large order, of course. Pricing is on par with other places. Parking isn't super easy but you can usually find a spot within a couple of blocks. Is it classy inside? No, but then again that's not what I'm looking for when it comes to Chinese takeout. Staff aren't super-friendly but, again, on par with similar spots. Hey, as long as my food is good and the order is correct, you can keep your fake smile and fake pleasantries. Have ordered from here several times now and have never been disappointed. Give them a try if you want something fast, cheap, and holds you down for the rest of the day/night. I have been going to another Chinese restaurant for some time now..but lately..they have been messing up my wife's order. We ask them to not put any mushrooms in the vegetable brown rice..but of course..they filled it with lots of mushrooms. So it was time for a change. I had ordered three dishes last night from China KIng and I was SHOCKED as to how soon they were ready. The food was ready in 25 minutes. My previous place took 45 min. to an hour. Parking was a bit of a pain..bt it had worked out (I had to park almost two blocks away). The food was delicious and much fresher than my usual place. An A-OK place to get your (nonAuthentic) Chinese food take out! At my current job, we hold groups every Wednesday for about 30 people, including staff. And every week, we rotate what foods to get and we usually rotate from pizza, grilled chicken, and chinese take out. we ALWAYS get Chinese take-out from here. they are so nice, they are fast, and have good prices. My patients NEVER complain about the food from here, and look forward to eating it. That's always a good sign, right? Plus, if one other days, we get hungry and are lazy about going out to get food, we'll order the food from there for ourselves too. We use to order from another Chinese takeout restaurant on Hillside Ave, that has since changed owners, however their food was not as delicious as the previous owners. We then decided to give China King a try, and were surprised by the portions of meat, and taste of their food. Delivery was prompt, and courteous. My only small complaint was the Sweet and Sour soup that could use a little more heat. We recommend this Chinese takeout restaurant.
