Pretty good for what looks to be a family ran business. I'm not much of an explorer when it comes to Chinese takeout (vs authentic Chinese cuisine). My go-to is a fried half chicken with fried rice. They honored my request to have the fried chicken extra crispy which is nice. The whole platter was not so greasy which is a plus. I'd get quick food here again! read more

Got the fried chicken wings (fried hard), shrimp lo mein, and sweet tea. The food was ready in about 15 mins. Nice and hot. It looks clean and the workers are nice and quick when serving your food. This is always a regular go to for when I'm craving Chinese food. read more

Firsties!!!!! This is probably the best Chinese in Hillside. I've worked in Hillside for about 5 or 6 years and have tried most places. The lunch specials are the same as dinner size just cheaper . The chicken pieces are perfect bite size and I really like that because there is nothing less appetizing than looking inside your General T's chicken. Other than that they have all the standard issue stuff. I'll continue to drive here rather than eat at the $h!thole on the corner of my job I could walk to. read more

I ran here on lunch the other day as I had to make a quick pit stop at the post office that's right next door. I ordered boneless spare ribs as well as a lunch special chicken and broccoli with fried rice. The food was pretty decent. Normal, basic Chinese lunch. It wasn't the best Chinese I've ever had, but it was okay. Like any other random Chinese place. They seemed to be pretty busy. It looked like they had at least 4/5 chefs in the back and 2 girls up front. Pretty shocking to me as there are so many Chinese joints in the area. The negative? They didn't take debit cards. While this wasn't the biggest deal, it was a bit inconvenient. Luckily there is a bank or two in the same plaza that they're in, but this would deter me from ever going back... Chinese food is best when it comes from a mom and pops store and China King qualifies as one. Parking is hard because the strip mall is constantly busy. Place only accepts cash and it's best to phone in your order. They offer the normal items that Chinese restaurants offer and their chicken wings are bomb. Prices are reasonable and the food is worth it. read more

Horrible service. My Husband ordered 2 orders of chicken wings with pork fried rice for delivery. They took about an hour to get here and only brought one order of the chicken wings with pork fried rice. Very disappointing. Not to mention i found a fly on my rice. They told us it would take 30 min to 1 hr for delivery. After 1 hour and a half (and multiple phone calls in which we were told it would be delivered in 10 minutes), we told them that if it did not come soon we would not pay for the food. The food finally arrived and we told the delivery man to call his boss while we stood there with him at the door so that we could confirm that we would not pay. We even called the restaurant ourselves and told the owner what was going on. The delivery man refused to leave. He barely even understood enough English to hold a basic conversation. He came closer to me and when I told him to back up, he refused. I told him to back up because he was making me uncomfortable. He didn't. I even said I would call the police if he did not get away from me. He still didn't move. When I tried to close the door, he tried to PUSH HIS WAY INTO MY HOME! I called the police on him and had to push the door closed to lock it as he was still trying to get in!!!! While waiting for the police, the delivery guy moved his car into the driveway, now trespassing on our property. The cops had to arrive to resolve the issue and the entire time the delivery man acted clueless, as well as the owner of the restaurant. WE WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN! read more

Maybe it was a bad oversight on their part the day I ordered from them. First of all, they only accept cash, a little inconvenient but whatever. I live literally 5 mins away and it took them exactly 1 hr to deliver my food during non lunch and dinner hour. The delivery guy called me to let me know he was outside. I opened the door and he wasn't. He called me back and said he was waiting. I told him to come to the door and he reluctantly got out of his car and came over. He said the food was $22, it was $21.10. Bad rounding skills. I told him to give me back $6 in change, he handed me $4 and walked away. The fried chicken wings were tiny, I wish I took a picture of it. I pulled one out of the wax bag and it was just skin and bones. I thought no way that counted as one whole wing. I dumped the rest of it out and they were all the same size. I ordered a scallop dish and that was the last straw. For $11 I got probably 2 whole medium scallop sliced into thin pieces and the rest were vegetables and the dish tasted bad. Please look at the picture I posted. I picked out all the scallops and piled it to the side. The only thing I liked from them was the egg drop soup but I doubt I'll ever order from them again. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years! The food is great and, until recently, so has the service. I believe within the past couple of years they are under new management and the young lady at the register becomes more rude and condescending every time I go there. The only reason I go is because my mother enjoys their food but they really need to realize that because the majority of their clientele is black they cannot treat people any way they want! read more

This place serves up some good typical American Chinese food, exactly what I was in the mood for. The plaza it's in is kinda shady but hey isn't this entire area like that?
