As was noted in other reviews, the portions are large, and the food is hot and fresh. Since it was my first time visiting, I had to try the General Tso's chicken. It was crunchy and well sauced but perhaps a bit sweet for my tastes. But still delicious. The hot and sour soup was actually sour, which is rare these days. I got an extra liter of it to go it was so good. And the steamed rice was obviously freshly cooked. Evidently this family came here from the West Coast, and Nebraska is definitely the better for it. I think dad is the main cook, and his sons are young men who are fast and friendly and funny, you can hear them talking and laughing, the atmosphere is wonderful. I'm from New York, and these guys could succeed in New York City Chinatown, no exaggeration. Don't miss it. read more

Checked the reviews and thought, Chinese would be different after a long day of driving on the Nebraska Under Construction Parkway. What a great choice! It starts with me being the only non-local in the place, not knowing the ordering setup (counter to go/look for an open seat if dine in). Once they got me straightened out... I got the General Chicken... it was flavorful and super crunchy. The won ton soup was just right and the egg roll was crispy. Watching the owners interact with the people was a thing of beauty. It is rare to see someone work with such joy and enthusiasm, but it's obvious that he cares for his customers and town. I apologize for ordering sweet tea, I forgot I was north of I-40. The only drawback from the whole meal was a spoon so shallow I ended up trying both sides just to be sure. If you were trying to slow me down so I could savor the soup, you underestimate the lack of shame I'll have turning the bowl up. read more

Whether you are dining in or grabbing food to go these folks knock it out of the park. Large delicious portions and you get it fast. The service here is how it should be everywhere, all the time. They are all friendly and fun too. The outside isn't flashy, the inside isn't either, but is clean. The food is absolutely dynamite. The menu has something for everyone. If you want it spicy or not spicy they always do it right. The General Tso's chicken is a large portion and is my go to. The egg rolls are some of the best I have ever had. This was the best Chinese we've had in a long time. The place was friendly and the guys running the joint seemed to know everyone by name. If we lived in Lexington they would know us by name too! Since the restaurant doesn't open until 3:00, we had to kill some time. We found it well worth the wait. I had the shrimp in lobster sauce and my wife had the cashew chicken. Both were excellent and the portions are large. The family who own and run it are very friendly and have no problems conversing in Chinese, Spanish, or English, depending on the customer. This is honestly the best Chinese food I have ever had. My friends and I are visiting the lake nearby, and drove into town for some much needed sustenance. While this place can look like it may be a hole in the wall joint from the outside, the food and service was superb. The head chef of the restaurant is always out and taking orders, accommodates each dish to however you would like it made, and the service is fast. Prices are cheap and everything was great. This place is really good. I drive a truck coast to coast and it's tough to find a restaurant outside of a truckstop that is trucker friendly. They have a sale barn across the street that truckers can park in and walk across the street. The food is amazing, staff is best I've been around for quite some time. We were a little worried that it would take too long to sit down and eat in the restaraunt because we were trying to keep our time line. The food came out very fast and looked Great!! The food was AMAZING, we took our left overs on the road with us and ate it at our next hotel. The food was priced just right and the service was great. A family owned restaraunt that took care of us. They let us change the channel to cartoons for the kids. If you are passing through Lexington and want some great food, that won't take for ever, along with great customer service, come here.
