Not terrible but not great. Plus-Generous portions, friendly staff, large menu. Negative-Sesame chicken over breaded, overcooked, very tough, super sweet sauce. Decent place for takeout on a shoestring budget. read more

Went there for the first time today. Ordered 2 meals. One sesame chicken/refried chicken rice and the other was Orange chicken with refried chicken rice. Waited for about 35-40 minutes after paying. Finally went to the window to ask when my meals would be ready. There were 2 meals bagged, sitting on the counter! Nobody had bothered to see that I was sitting in a booth the whole time! Then, when we were eating our meals, my husband said DONT EVER GO THERE AGAIN! He said his chicken was tough and didn't taste good. I was thinking the same thing. My rice tasted awful and the chicken was too tough to cut into smaller bites. I had already stopped eating my dinner because it was awful. I bagged both dinners up and threw them in the trash. read more

Terrible chicken fried rice. No egg, no onion (green or otherwise), about 5 bean sprouts. Plenty of chicken and rice but nothing else. It also didn't sit well with my digestive system and I hardly ate any. Went there 9/13/2025 at about 2:00PM. Never again! read more

China House - see! Plenty of chicken and nothing else! - Chinese Near Me - Grand Blanc, Michigan

things have definitely changed in this restaurant egg rolls, smaller sweet-and-sour chicken really dry not gonna go back

Our go-to Chinese restaurant. Our family has been going there for years. My husband gets sesame chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll, and I get the chicken with almonds, fried rice, and egg roll read more

My family had a wonderful time at this restaurant. Food was great, the staff was very respectful and atmosphere was inviting.

This restaurant has warmed my family's hearts. Daughter and I favorite is the Honey Chicken Combo. Her favorite was the Pepper Steak Combo, one bite and she changed her mind LOL. We had some very damaging wind, hail, and so forth come through and have haven't been open since1 IF anyone knows any status of the restaurant; are they going to reopen in the near future Thank you so much! read more

Used to be our go to place for Chinese food. It was excellent and very tasty. Don't know what happened but since October the food has been tasteless and the wonton soup had bad water chestnuts in it this last batch we bought I had broccoli beef and my wife had the wonton soup and steamed the vegetables and both of us ended up with tummy aches and diarrhea for the next two days, we hadn't eaten anything else all day. The service is always smiling. Friendly and happy if you want good service, that's a place to go just not for good food. read more

Called and placed an order 20 mins before noon lunch break. Waited additional 30 mins for food. The food was over cooked which made it tough. read more

I am Deaf. I wrote out my order very clearly and my husband brought it in. When he got home, I realized the egg drop soup was missing. he drove back, and the guy claimed he didn't put it in the order. He wanted us to pay $4 for it. Unfortunately, I was upset when I saw it missing and jumped in the car to go back without my wallet, so I didn't have the money. It was THEIR mistake, they should pay for it. BUT I checked the total on my order and the prices, and we DID pay for the soup!!! My husband left without the soup I had originally ordered. I'm tired of having to call or go back for missing/mistakes on my order. There's no excuse. My orders are in WRITING! It's bad enough that they make mistakes on our orders and rob us of our money, it also takes forever to get the food. We will find another place to get Chinese cuisine. read more

Chicken was overcooked and tough. Sauce was so sweet even though I got a meal with the spicy sign next to it. Soup broth was like gelatin consistency. Hot and sour soup did not taste right. I used to live their soup but it's bad now. My daughter's wonton soup was the same. Prices are higher too. read more

The only reason we tried this was because canton was closed. Omg. The wontons were so hard we couldn't bite through them. It tasted like they made them a week ago and just refried them. The shrimp fried rice was so bland! It was basically white rice and shrimp. Couldn't find any green onions or bean sprouts. And the egg roll just tasted weird. Never again! read more

We ordered food from there, and the beef lo main was so salty that we couldn't eat it and I ended up throwing it away, and when I called to let them know they didn't care about it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN HERE. read more

Something has changed? Either new manager or new cook but, food is now bad. Prices have increased almost double. Service is slower and orders take longer than what they say. Food now tastes worse. Quality is less. Orders are not correct and just plain taste bad. China House used to be the best but NOT anymore. Just like Canton on Fenton Road used to be good but NOT anymore. China Jade Grand Blanc is horrible and fake. Will be looking for new Chinese restaurant now. read more

My first visit food was excellent. Lunch was ready in five minutes outstanding. would highly recommend this to anyone.

If i could give zero i would. By far the worst Chinese food I have ever had, no contest. Half of the order either smelled like the grub hub drive had a uti and peed in the food and tasted the same as well. Just everything was awful. I'm not picky folks. I dont just gripe on here. I typically leave loads more good than bad reviews. I guarantee my dog wouldn't even touch this. Now I'm heading i guess to McDonald's to get something quick and get this awful taste out of my mouth. Dear chef. Find another means of employment read more

Pretty average Chinese food, but it's fast and it's cheap. I've only tried the Szechuan chicken and the shrimp chop Suey so far, but it was decent for takeout in grand blanc. They have a few seats inside if you want to wait, but I would recommend just taking the food to go. I couldn't find a website or any menu online, so I snapped some photos of it - Hope they help! read more

Huge portions and tastes fresh. I gave been told to come here for a while but never did. Wow I sure was missing out. One meal can serve 3 -4 people easy. read more

Thought maybe my stomach ache last time was just a fluke so tried the place again. NEVER EVER going back. Tough rubbery chicken, over breaded, friend rice was dried out, and sweet and sour sauce was to sweet. After spending an entire day in bed with a stomach ache AGAIN I WILL never return to China House and definitely warn others to stay away as well. Only good thing about the place Is the portion sizes for the money which is probably why the food quality is so poor. read more

This use to be my go to Chinese place but recently they have continuously messed up our orders. I called back and asked for a refund for ONE of the meals and she told me that I had to bring back the food and they'd give me a different meal. I explained I live far and was grabbing it for my grandma. She said I could bring it back tomorrow and then get a refund. So I was supposed to DRIVE back the following day with day old food just for a new meal for my sick grandma ? WHAT IN THE WORLD. And all I heard on the phone was screaming and hollering. Super disappointed in this place read more

Went here on Christmas Day with my family and was completely unimpressed. First off, we called ahead and asked if they have seating. They said yes, but when we arrived we found 3 (very dirty) booths. It's obviously more of a takeout joint. It took us over an hour to get our takeout order and we dug in at home only to find the food was rather lackluster. The chicken dishes were greasy and the two that were supposed to be spicy were not spicy at all. The general tsao's chicken was the same chicken used in sweet n sour chicken (very thickly breaded) but with a different sauce. The egg drop soup was thicker than normal ("snotty" is a good adjective). Our egg rolls were the only decent food item. I am not in a hurry to eat here again. read more

This is my go to place for lo mien. I've never had anything else here so my review is based only on the vegetarian lo mien and chicken egg rolls. My food is always amazing. They give you enough to feed Europe. If you're looking to eat in, this is not the place. They have two booths and generally people sit in them to wait for their take out order. read more

Tried this place for the first time, it's was close to home. Wasn't pleased with the results. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice and a shrimp egg roll. The egg roll with the duck sauce was very tasty. It went down from there. The shrimp fried rice had a burnt taste to it, like it was fried too long. The sweet and sour chicken had a funky taste. Deduced it down to the sweet and sour sauce. It had a taste like one would get biting into a dandelion, bitter with a bad aftertaste. Not impressed at all. read more

Not impressed! Was looking for food close to home, will travel the extra miles in future! General Taos chicken, sweet and overcooked, crab cheese, bland! Actually bland is a good description very non descript. Especially when asking for spicy menu items. Service was okay, cost was cheap, I guess I got what I paid for! read more

This place used to be awesome. I don't know what happened, but the food is so bland. They need to put the flavor back in their food!

Food was delicious and the wait was not too bad, maybe 10 minutes for a to go order and the price was cheap. Went there for lunch.

Good local fare at a great price. Despite the boy working for a while at the DQ in the same strip mall, we had never ordered from err before. So when the bride wanted some Chicken with Broccoli on NYE, I decided to hit it up. Food is good, traditional, and plentiful without any surprises. If you want to know what you are getting just by the name alone, this is a good choice. Chicken with Broccoli, Kung Po Chicken and some Sweet and Sour for the boy. Throw in a couple of eggrolls and some white rice all for $18 and you have a good meal at a good price. read more

I love their food and the portions that come with it. I can't even tell you how many times over the years I've eaten their food and maybe only twice have I been disappointed. read more

Really great this time! Chicken was fresh and rice was delicious. Sometimes this place can be hit or miss but I like it better than the other options locally. read more

The egg drop soup is way too salty. The meat in our chicken and beef entrees were very grisly and tough. Even my coworkers, who order as a group from here every once in a while, have been complaining about the quality of the foods here recently. Even though we live right across the street, my boyfriend and I drive 10-15 minutes out to China One in Burton, by Target, rather than go to this place. read more

Unless you have a very large stomach and eat at a chinese buffet, I have not seen anyone else get near the amount of chinese food per dollar at this restaurant. In other words, expect to be given a very large amount of food for what you order. On top of that, it's very fast. The ingredients are not high quality, but it definitely tastes good anyway. read more

Gave this place a second chance. Big mistake. I am really starting to question the taste of Grand Blanc residents after having heard at least 10 people rave about this place. It is a hole in the wall, it is disgustingly dirty, the food is nothing other than boxed/bagged/processed/microwaved garbage and that woman working at the front desk is just plain rude. Never going back. I suggest the public eat ANYwhere but here. read more

Good portions for price. Got garlic and honey chicken with vegetable fried rice. Rice flavor was okay but only had broccoli in it. Garlic and honey chicken had NO garlic flavor. The garlic and honey chicken is also supposed to be "hot and spicy" it was NOT. I even asked for extra spicy and it's nothing. The chicken pieces are way too big to enjoy with the rice. And the plastic bags and take out containers stink like dirty diapers. The shrimp stinks like smells bad read more

Stopped in for lunch. Got the Sesame Chicken. It took about 10 minutes for them to make it and it came out hot and fresh. The Sesame Chicken was not overly breaded and very good as was the fried rice that came with it. I really don't know why this was on the lunch menu. It was a very large portion, I have enough left for several more lunches. Also, although I ate there It is definitely more of a take out place. There are 3 table and bench combos, but not a comfortable place if you want to eat out. read more

Great food. They aren't always 100% accurate with the orders, especially if you modify your order. Get a lot of food for the money spent.

Really surprised how good this place is for it's location and type of restaurant. More of a Take-out restaurant, has 3 booths. Good Sweet n Sour Pork and Chicken. Love the Beef Lo Mein. Can't seem to get the sauce hot n spicy enough for the General Tsao's Chicken though. Very tasty Eggrolls, made with more fresh cabbage than fermented. Make sure to call ahead with order, one Saturday night showed up 20 mins after ordering to pick-up and still had to wait an additional 15 minutes while line of customers continued to grow. Have also been told they've run out of Pork on few occasions. Good portions and average prices. read more

Tried the China House Under New Management for the first time and it will be the last, very unimpressed. Food had no flavor. Chicken had no seasoning. Lo mein was made with the skinny noodles not the fat noodles. Very disappointed read more

Called in an order on a Saturday night; was fulfilled perfectly. The food was hot and nicely packaged, and most importantly tasted delicious. I ordered 2 quarts, 5 rolls, and small soup for family of five and had plenty left over. The price was typical ~$9/dish. Will repeat. read more

Almost perfect, great food plus every time I've been the containers are overflowing with food !!! They do a great job here.
