This place is really good. They have a wonderful buffet until 2 o'clock. I prefer to get there about 1230 or one and the woman who seats you and probably runs the restaurant is just wonderful.! It has a lot of great things in the Buffay, my favorite the wontons are really really good. Their beef and broccoli was outstanding. And it's a really good price, don't know how they can do that, but I think it's like 10 bucks for the buffet and a drink. The outside may be shabby but I'd rather have that and the food be delicious so don't let that scare you away ! By far one of the better Chinese restaurants I've had the pleasure of going to. After a long drive home I decided to get takeout from China Garden. I felt terrible ordering food so close to closing but the woman inside was so sweet when I walked in. I was welcomed with a big smile and a warm departure. Thank you for making my night! read more

Just ordered 3 combo dinners for takeout. We ordered General Tao chicken, pork fried rice and chow mein, and other items. The chicken was rancid and completely inedible, as was the fried rice. I called them back and told them about these issues, and she refused to listen to me about how bad the food really was. I told her I would bring them back so she could see for herself, she said "NO". When I asked for my $45 back, she told me I was never to come back. That won't be a problem. We're all sitting here waiting for the inevitable to happen because we did take a few bites. read more

Bland menu, bland buffet. I suppose looking for superb Chinese in Dillon is a fool's errand. The staff are blatantly disinterested in helping you cruise the menu. When you walk in, you're expected to choose the buffet. I'd say just skip it and hit the taco truck. read more

This restaurant has recently gone through a new ownership. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. There is a huge language deficit in communication. You may ask for more vegetables and less meat in your dish or please leave out this or that and get the opposite! The food itself is not as good either. Freshly painted in a rosy pink, China Garden has a spacious dining room and take out service. Good selection of combo plates with generous portions. Friendly, polite service. Old school Chinese cuisine. I had Mongolian beef; it was tender and perfectly seasoned. My husband loved the house special lo mein. read more

I am writing this review based off of my latest meal here, but should give some background. Apart from Safeway deli Chinese food this is the only place in town to find Chinese food. They offer a buffet during the day that seems to be popular with locals, but up until today it has been clear that the menu offerings have been very Americanized to appeal to this demographic. On the prior 5 or 6 visits I. Has been met with acceptable but uninspiring dishes that met the need of a Chinese food fix. The owners and family are always friendly and the place is clean although the outside is starting to show the effects of Montana weather. Today when I came in I ordered the clay pot option which was very good with plentiful fresh perfectly cooked vegetables such as zucchini and water chestnuts. The sauce was subtle and not over powering or sweet, although I typically want a spicier dish this was a very good plate of food. I'm thinking now that though there are many options on the menu you need to figure which are the dishes that they do best. Steer towards vegetable heavy dishes and you'll be happy. read more
