Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.

We appreciated having Ann wait on us. * Large selection of steamer table food. * Sushi - small selection * Mongolian BBQ - decent selection of vegetables, but aside from shrimp meats were nothing special. * Ann was constantly cleaning tables and using a manual carpet vac (no noise really) when she was not refilling drinks and bringing plates to the table. I had no issue leaving her a 35% tip - cash on the table. * Price was not bad - $8.99 per plus one pop. But I wouldn't pay more. * I didn't need the restroom, so no comment there. (My wife carries a bottle of hand sanitizer. CONS: * Most of the chicken dishes on the steamer table were very bland in taste. * Many of the meats were tough. * There were 4 selections of Sushi and all were very dry in texture and taste. * As we were paying, I discovered that we could have ordered off of the menu rather than have the buffet. I guess they assume that given the price, no one orders off of the menu. I would, even with the higher-priced dishes. It would have been nice to be asked. * Pepsi products - I prefer Coke, but that is only my preference. May not be applicable to you. SUMMARY: I will go back to try ordering from the menu, but I probably will not try the buffet again. For me, it wasn't worth even the $8.99 price.

Pick up order. Teriyaki chicken spicy level D full spice, egg roll. Wife had broccoli chicken. Teriyaki chicken supposed to have broccoli and pinapple. I think there were three pieces of broccoli. The white meat was to be fried. In actuality it had no breading and no spice. This is disappointing as I've always like China garden. But now when you go in the waitresses sit around on smartphones not paying attention to anything and the way the food tastes I would say the cooks are doing the same. read more

I've been to China several times. I know good Chinese food. I went there tonight for dinner. I had the combination plate number two which is egg foo young with fried rice and an egg roll. I chose the mushroom option with white rice and egg drop soup with water to drink. The menu says $12.99. when I got my bill, it said $15. When I questioned the young man, he said I'll get my boss. She came out and was very angry that I questioned. She said because egg prices have gone up the price on the egg foo young has gone up. I said there isn't a change on the menu. Yeah yeah I know she said egg prices have gone up. I said I understand but there's no sticker or change on the menu. Yeah but eggs are expensive now. I said yes. I understand that but there's no sticker and there is no sign anywhere that says egg. Foo young is now $2.01 more than the posted price. She said okay. I fix it. Rang up my bill and said $17.99. I said no. The meal is $12.99 and I had water so it should be in the $13 range. She said no egg prices have gone up. I said I understand that but there are no signs in the restaurant and there is no change or not on the menu. That said options with eggs will be more. The other thing that I noticed was that they put a tip on the bill. There is also no sign saying that a tip will automatically be added to the bill. She then said this is Hillsdale. I'll do whatever the f*** I want to do. I went outside and as I'm going out, two young girls were going in to place an order that their mom had ordered online, I told the young girls and their mom who had opened the car door, that they should watch how much they're charged because they're charging prices that are not on the menu and they are also adding a gratuity to the bill without acknowledgment of that. The owner then came outside yelling how I was f****** crazy that I'm a f****** crazy woman. I said no ma'am I went by the menu prices she said come in. I'll tell you how f****** crazy you are. I said no come on outside. You can talk to me out here.

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for years. And so today, I did. If you didn't know that…read moreit was there, you would miss it. Directly across from the Post Office, it seems almost hidden by the overgrown brush in the landscaped areas. The positive: 1.) The cream cheese wontons are INSANELY good!! The chili dipping sauce is quite spicy, and I did enjoy it. 2.) The Miso soup had a hearty taste, which I found to be unique. 3.) I chose a Dynamite Roll as I was at a loss as to the choice to make. It was very good. 4.) Overall, the actual food entries were quite enjoyable. The "not-so-positive": 1.) This place is in definite need of a complete makeover. Paint, ceiling tiles, T-bars, lighting, flooring, etc. It felt dingy and a bit dirty. 2.) I did not go into the kitchen, of course, but I did watch the young man at the counter making sushi. Sushi is supposed to be part of a presentation/event. But you can't sit at the counter (there isn't one). You have to go on faith. 3.) The service was INCREDIBLY slow. There was a party of nine, a party of six, and several other tables ahead of me. The waitress was bouncing all over the place. Making bobas, taking orders in person and over the phone, busing a dish or two, probably doing some prep and plating in the kitchen, and who knows what else. She was seemingly stressed. 4.) Oh, they also chose Sunday night (which is typically a quiet night, per the waitress) to train two new employees. Oops. 5.) Oh, I did not visit the restrooms, probably I was better off if I were to guess. But a big "shout out to the young man making bobas, drinks--his 3rd day. As I was waiting, I was watching. Besides the drinks, he managed the till, bussed a dish or two, and had a very polite, pleasant personality--the star of the show in my opinion. Oh, and Grandma (you know who you are - 3 grandchildren), please get your head out of your cell phone and get your grandchildren under control. They were really, really disturbing to everyone there.
