Date of visit: Oct 12, 2021 I stopped for some food to hold the family over for several days. I ordered 2 party trays. The first tray was a split of honey chicken and bourbon chicken. The 2nd tray was broccoli beef and General Tao chicken. I waited about 15 minutes or so for the order to be completed. They had the party trays in empty cardboard boxes so that they didn't spill on the way home. Broccoli beef was good. The bourbon chicken wasn't very flavorful and overcooked The general Tao was decent but didn't have any real souce kick to it, even though I ordered it 2x spicy. The honey chicken had a pretty decent flavor, but I also encountered several pieces of gristle in the chicken. Overall an average experience. read more

The food is just okay. I had their food once a few years back and wasn't impressed so I never went back. I decided to try them again today and was impressed with the section of chicken but wish they had more vegetarian and pescatarian options. I ordered the egg drop soup for $1.50, which was bland. I also ordered lo mein and fried shrimp dish. The fried shrimp was 80% batter and extremely greasy. The lo mein was actually pretty good. The main dishes are all $1.25 per scoop, which is a really good deal if you only need something quick and cheap. Although I think many people will enjoy the food here, it's not for me. read more

Decent food at a great price. Staff is friendly enough for an in and out place. And i saw another review stating that they refused a guy trying to pay for a meal under $5 with a debit card and being informed of the minimum. According to his review they were belligerent and refused cash. Funny enough i remember being there at the same time. And the workers were nice and pointed out the $5 minimum sign but the guy flipped out, flashed his cash and said if i have this you should take my card. He insisted on paying with the card and they turned him down after which he stormed out yelling about foreigners. But the food is definately worth the price read more

Pretty good, and $1 per dish, so it can't be beat (I know it says $1 per scoop...but I've seen them pile it on and charge as 1 scoop...who can complain?). They don't have the best egg rolls or fried rice, but the broccoli & chicken & lo mein are good. Go around lunch time...if you hit mid-afternoon the food isn't as hot :/ read more

Small take out or eat in Chinese Restaurant. Decent food for the price. They currently have food as $1.00 a scoop. I had honey chicken, teriyaki chicken and Lo mien. Also had egg roll. Pretty good amount of food for $5.89 with a drink. As far as quality goes, it is kinda like eating mall Chinese food. Walked away full but not with that wow, the food is really good feeling. Will likely come back at some point to try the rice and some of the other entree type items. If you want something really fast and "decent" then this will work. read more

I went in there and got mushroom chicken and noodles. The mushroom chicken tasted funny so I asked them if I could get something different and the girl told me no this is a fast food place so we cant change it for you!!!!! WTF??? So I left the I called and asked to talk to the manager and he told me he was sorry he couldn't do anything about it that I didn't like it that I just wanted something different......UH NO IT DIDN'T TASTE RIGHT AND I ONLY TOOK ONE BITE!!!!!!!!!!! Then while I was on the phone with him he had people taste it and they all said that it was fine. I didn't ask for my money back I just wanted something that didn't taste sour. He said it was fresh....... What happened to the customer is always right????? Hopefully I don't get sick or someone else that eats it too. read more

I've been going to China Express for a long time. Sometimes multiple times a week. Not necessarily for the quality of food but more for the price. It was quick, easy and cheap. Here recently, I've noticed some major changes at the restaurant though. They're not as clean as they used to be, food quality has fallen drastically, portion sizes have been getting smaller and customer service has tanked. Recently, I went in and bought a soda that was flat. After opening my soda and tasting it, I returned it to the counter. The Chinese lady behind the counter was extremely rude and would not allow me to exchange the flat soda for a good one. I let this incident slide with the understanding that she is ignorant to American customs. The next day I came in and the same lady took my order. The total of that order came to $3.75, so I handed her my debit card to which she refused my method of payment because it had to be a $5.00 minimum. I reached in my pocket, pulled out a $10.00 bill, handed it to her and requested my card back. At this time the Chinese lady became very belligerent with me suggesting that she didn't have to sell the food to me and that she had the right to refuse service. I requested my $10.00 back and left. I can assure you that China Express lost a very faithful following between my family, my friends and myself. read more
