First thing first, the egg drop soup gotta go. They put too much corn starch and it was too eggy, plus there was no flavor. My friend and I hardly touched our soups. It was that bad. Secondly, their fried rice was bland as heck. It tasted like steam rice. Thirdly, my friend's cashew chicken was not up to par. My friend said that they didn't cook the cashews in the food. They just sprinkled the cashews on top. Now, onto the good part of the experience. Their chow mein was tasty. The fish filets with black bean sauce was yummy. I ordered a honey walnut shrimp dish to go and it would have been good if it was eaten right away. So, therefore, it is considered good. My friend said that their chicken fried rice that she ordered on a separate occasion was good. I give this place a 3.5 and I will definitely go back to try their other stuff. They need to work on their customer service but I get it. It's a Chinese thing. The guy probably thought he was a bit rude so he came back to say, "Sorry about that!" It caught me off guard; I just thought there was a bit of social awkwardness and misunderstanding. I know he tried hard with the customer service because he asked how I was when I was checking out. I had the house Chow-main and it was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants I would frequent in Seal beach. It was deliciously well seasoned. Honestly I was very satisfied. I also ordered a side of crab Rangoons. The crab Rangoons were really good as well. It had a great crab taste to them. We have ordered from China Bros weekly and have never been disappointed. The delivery drivers are always so nice, and the food fresh! I can see how people may be frustrated with the online ordering app, but I wish they would remember that this is a small locally owned business, so they may not have a big budget for online orders, especially since they are always non stop packed inside their restaurant! I dined in prior to the pandemic. One of the owners kept telling me how much it was going to cost...as if I couldn't pay. I found that very embarrassing and quite condescending especially after witnessing him NOT doing that to any other customer. The food isn't even that good. So we ended up ordering delivery during the covid-19 pandemic & I ordered the Egg Fu Young with the gravy on the side. I swear It was the best Egg Fu Young I've ever had! It has the freshest veggies & chicken & it was cooked to perfection!
