First time trying this restaurant. They're located right across from Krispy kreme, toward the end of the plaza. There were plenty of parking spaces and they are open for dine in. seatings are limited inside though. we tried the orange beef, It came with steamed rice and a fortune cookie. we tooke it home, with a commute of 10 mins or so until we enjoyed the food. The portion is very decent for the price. And I could still taste the crispy-ness from the beef despite the commute getting home. Overall it was a good experience. We were shopping nearby and decided to stop for dinner. To our surprise China Bros is now Take-Out only. All the tables were filled with cardboard boxes. We ordered some WonTon soup and Dumplings. The soup was good, with a nice chicken flavor with pieces of shrimp. When we got home, we discovered we were given the deep fried chicken wontons by mistake. No biggie. Clearly they are trying to survive and the delivery folks are keeping them very, very busy. So, Two and a Half Stars, rounded up to Three. We'll give them another try in a few weeks. read more

This was always a favorite--we would go here 4 or 5 times a month, but the last two times, it seems they don't give one rat's ass if they're getting the order right or even being cordial. I'm not sure what happened, but last time we ordered sweet and sour pork and we got chicken; the other day they gave us an order with more than double the carrots (so, less pork?) and these god-awful, white, tasteless pieces of pineapple. On top of that, there was no sweet and sour sauce. We called the store (we're about 30 minutes away, so no, we didn't want to drive back there again) and the woman who answered just kept giggling. We didn't find it funny. Two times in a row and no one has ever apologized or offered to make things right.... so we're probably done with this place. Too bad. If I could give zero stars I would. I really don't want to rain on anybody's parade but if I can spare anyone the misery of their food I will try ( hence this review ). My husband and I tried a few things with different meats and they were all genuinely inedible. I have never been to a restaurant that had so little flavor while also having an indescribable base flavor a texture that caused a visceral reaction in both my husband and I. Not even their rice was edible ( and we know because our dog went for a taste and spit it out immediately ) To be fair they did ask if we wanted new food or a credit for coming back another time but neither of us wanted to since it was likely going to be just as ... let's say unappetizing. I make it a point to grab a few dishes here whenever visiting the parents. Quickly became one of my favorite places to eat in Menifee (super biased, I adore Chinese food). Have been here upwards of 10 times now so getting a feel of the menu. There are some bangers that blow the pants off of many Chinese food places in the area (Cathay, China Garden, etc.). This will be a constantly updating review as I try out more of the menu. Overall, love it. Huge noodle fan so you can't go wrong with the basic chow mein. I find the Hong Kong Style fried noodles one of my favorite dishes. Keep in mind, you should eat it the same day, as the crunchy deep-fried noodles don't stay crunchy if placed in the fridge or stored for over a day. It's also a bit rough on the jaw due to chewing if you aren't used to it, so fair warning. Almost anything on the menu with the black bean sauce is great. The black bean sauce spreads over rice really nicely and compliments most of the other dishes on the menu when paired. I do prefer the pork, fish, and chicken over the shrimp when cooked with the aforementioned sauce. If you're into Hot & Sour soup, this is one of the only places in the area that absolutely nails the recipe. It's a mainstay of rainy days for the parents. Highly recommend. They can also adjust the spiciness level if you do not have a high spice tolerance (this goes for most dishes). There are a couple dishes a bit on the weaker side when it comes to flavor, notably the Spicy Mapo Tofu and the Cashew Shrimp. See the photos for more descriptions. read more

I came To pick up chicken wontons and a fried rice the other day, and I got stuck at Lowe's longer than expected. I showed up well after their 10-minute estimate and despite that it was my fault that I was late, they gave me a freshly made wonton appetizer! Wow! Thank you so much!! The egg is even cooked in a fluffy and ribbon-like texture with the rice. I can't explain it, but it's just enough seasoning without being too saltybut it's something I grab here on every single visit, at least once or twice-a-week. I also love their wonton chips they include on my takeout orders. It's a crispy snack and accompanies a sweet and sour sauce. I've enjoyed most of their other chicken dishes and ready to venture to their seafood options. Love the dark soy/spice dipping sauce that accompanies it. Been trying their lunch specials and some more entrees like the kung pao chicken, and have to advise against those items. The noodles and the fried rice option with lunch specials are very soggy and mushy in texture, for lack of a better word. Merely my opinion, but it's a totally different texture than their fried rice when I order it by itself. I strongly suggest ordering their dishes a la carte to ensure they're freshly cooked. About two years ago, this place was the best Chinese food in town. My family and I went there last night and wanted to dine in. My husband stated the bathroom was filthy and there was absolutely no service provided whatsoever. This place obviously only counts on takeout. Not to mention we are battling terrible diarrhea the next day. I know it's TMI but please reconsider coming here because they have cut corners and you will get sick. read more

This place was an answer to a craving my husband had that fell a bit short. We ordered ahead so we didn't have to wait outside. We ordered wonton soup, but it was lackluster in taste. It was missing the yumminess that soup has most of the time we've had it elsewhere. We also ordered shrimp fried rice, house chow fun and veggie egg rolls. The shrimp fried rice hit the spot. It had a healthy amount of good sized shrimp and the take out size was good. The veggies egg rolls were as expected. When I went in to pick up my order there were two lines. Left side to place orders, right side to pick up (and pay). It was Saturday late afternoon and I waited a few minutes. I was asked my phone number to identify and pick up my order. I was asked to sign the receipt and toss it in the box with the other receipts so as to minimize contact with cashier. My husband enjoyed the house chow fun. Came here today and my boyfriend and I aren't sure how we felt about the food. My orange chicken was good, his Mongolian beef was good, but the chow mein was super weird. I think it's the oil they cook it in or something it had such a weird taste to it. I was really craving chow mein so that kinda sucked. We also got veggie egg rolls and they had the weird oil taste to them as well, the inside was different too. I wish I could explain it. Idk if the oil was old or maybe it's just a different cooking oil I've never tried. But they are super busy so apparently people like their food, just be prepared for it to not taste like Chinese food you've had before. read more

For what it is... For where it is... it ain't damn bad. In fact it was pretty damn good. It was during the rolling black out so there wasn't much of a local choice so I went w this place. I'm glad I did. Wonton soup was good, bbq ribs were good and fried rice was really good. It's take out so service well here's your food cash or card? Not much to that. Been coming here since they opened about 3 years ago. It's pretty much the only Chinese food joint around here that's quick and tastes good. I especially like that they make everything fresh to order. No heating lamps here! The lunch specials are fairly priced and they come in good portions. I can split one into 2 meals. If you order it to go, it won't come with the egg drop soup :( I have also had them cater before, and everyone loved it. I usually don't have leftovers. They are fairly priced compared to similar establishments. Orange chicken is the norm, but my favorite dish of theirs is definitely the Hong Kong style chow mein. Yummmm!! While it isn't huge inside, it's got enough tables to seat a few parties of 4-6 and some smaller tables. Parking isn't usually a problem. Located right across Krispy Kreme in Menifee. Staff has been the same since they opened...probably because they really are brothers, lol! I usually see the same guys working here so that's good. Consistency is key! This place, much like the customer service, sucks. The main guy at the register was so rude and the helping coworker grabbing the order was rude as well. I waited to try the food when I brought it home to see if the food was just as bad as the customer service. Needless to say the food was under par. The rice and chow mein had no flavor, the orange chicken tasted dry and doesn't taste like orange anything. When I asked for teriyaki sauce to go, the worker threw back his head like a child not wanting to kiss his grandma goodbye and went to go get it. Clearly he was disturbed to grab sauces for whatever reason. I will never EVER come back to this place. It was terrible to say the least. I would give it a minus 5 stars if I could. I normally only write good reviews, on establishments that are worthy of praise based on a variety of factors. That being said, my hope is that someone at China Bros uses this review as a constructive review, and in turn make it a better experience for their frequent patrons. I have purchased from China Bros about 4-5 different times over the course of the last year when I moved to Menifee. I have pretty much always spent over $30-50 dollars everytime. That being said, last week I went in, placed my order to go, and one of the items I ordered was their Honey Walnut Shrimp which is one of my favorites. When I got home, I was disappointed to see that I was given Salt & Pepper Shrimp instead, which I am not a fan of. The next day, I went back in, told the guy taking my order that they had messed up the previous night, showed him a picture of what they made me, and asked if they could make it right. I was told that I needed the receipt, to which I replied that I had thrown it away the night before. He said he couldnt do anything without the receipt. Now I am not sure how many people have tried to deceive them like this before, but I am sure it hasnt been many. Anyways, one of the things I I love to see in a business aside from the quality of food, product or services rendered is great customer service. Unfortunately this is where China Bros is lacking. It shouldnt have been a big deal to whip up a batch of what I had ordered the night before, but they those chose profits over frequent customer, and that is pretty sad. Ultimately what keeps me as a customer and what makes me spread the word on a good business is how they value me as a patron.
