Ordered by phone for my family on Saturday. We were in need of lunch, and everyone agreed on Chinese. We ordered about 8 different lunch specials, and it still came in less than $60 with a tip. Pickup was pretty simple. You can't go in the building (pandemic) but they have plexiglass and drawers that open to pass food and payments through. The gentleman that helped us was friendly. The food was really good. I got the sesame chicken and ate it all in one sitting. Everyone else had leftovers, but I won't judge. Overall, I'd order again. read more

Food was pretty decent. When I called for a take-out the lady was super rude but it was okay haha. Pretty expensive for Chinese takeout though. Would definitely recommend closely reading the menu and figuring out what you want and what sizes. read more

Just got an order of Triple Delight (shrimp Beef and Chicken with vegetables in brown sauce) and shrimp toast. Food was terrible. Triple Delight had no sauce on it and they it green peppers in it . Shrimp Toast was over done and so greasy we couldn't eat it. Taste like it was fried in dirty old oil. Never again read more

My husband and I recently visited China Apple and were pleasantly surprised both by the menu offerings, pricing and (most important) the quality of the food itself. One of the first things I discovered, is that China Apple not only offers a complete menu of traditional Chinese favorites, but they also offer a variety of Japanese dishes. My husband tried the Curry Beef, which was served with steamed rice; I tried the Hibachi Steak and opted for the fried rice. Both were fantastic. I was especially pleased that the steak was not overcooked, and the sauteed vegetables that accompanied it were also nicely prepared. My husband, who is quite particular about curried foods, was very pleased, and was quick to announce that he would like to have this again - soon. :) The only menu item which I tried and found to be less favorable was the hot and sour soup. While it wasn't *bad*, it had a slightly unusual flavor reminiscent of some other, sweeter soup. Still tasty, but for the die hard Sweet and Sour Soup folks, not a contender. I would recommend taking the food out, as the interior of the restaurant, while clean, had a definite fast food ambience. Seating was plentiful, but combined with the decor and menus taped to the glass walls, didn't lend the relaxed atmosphere I prefer to have when dining in. The two young kids working the register are not friendly. Which is a shame because the food has been good. Unfortunately the last 3 tines I have went since December of 2015 the restaurant has had an unpleasant smell, almost like a horrible body oder. After having to put up with the rude kids running the counter I'm afraid this will be the reason I don't return. read more

I love Chow Mai Fun - so much - that I've ordered it many times at dozens of Chinese Restaurants. Since I had not tried China Apple and it is relatively close to where I live - I was anxious to try China Apple and ordered their Chow Mai Fun to go. This is a rice noodle, dry curry dish with a combination of meats and wherever you go - it has a fair amount of spice, which I like. My first thought after the first bite was - whoever put this dish together - they must have accidentally added chili flakes TWICE. It was so spicy, in fact, that I simply could not eat it. Hey, I thought, accidents happen. So - I thought I'd call China Apple and politely let them know that their chef must have accidentally double spiced the dish he made for me. I very nicely explained this to the person who answered the phone that it was so spicy, I could not eat another bite. He said well this is a spicy dish and it says so in the menu. I explained that I've ordered this dish DOZENS of times and have never been served Chow Mai Fun so spicy I could literally not eat another bite. At this point he muted the phone and kept me holding for a minute or two without saying anything, as I said, are you there ... are you there? When he finally came back - I asked him what he could do given the fact that I had eaten only one bite because it was so spicy I was unable to eat it. He said, "there is nothing we can do - as this says on the menu that it's a spicy dish." I was flabbergasted and said, if this is the way you treat your customers - you will never see me again ... at which time he said, OK and ended the call. This was a $9 dish and not only were they unwilling to replace it, they were totally arrogant about it. I will never go back to this place ... and would suggest that YOU don't waste your money supporting a business who treats their customers so badly. Wefound our new go to for Chinese food!! We had friends over and we all love Chinese food, I was a little nervous because we had never tried this place before. Some places are hit or miss, but not here. We brought it home and it was excellent, hot and very fresh. We were all very happy with it. read more

Completely unnacceptable how poorly their customer service or lack there of is. I've been in the service industry for 14 years and am a local from surfside who has had many quality meals from this establishment but will never spend another penny at theis place ever again. The man child who answered the phone was beyond rude to me when I simply was trying to explain my order. He was so rude and negative that I hung up the phone after he continued being negative and not speaking clearly enough for me to understand. If I could rate this place 0 I would. They are very fast getting your order ready, especially on a Friday evening, maybe a little too fast as they called my home looking for me when I didn't arrive 10 minutes after ordering. The food is usually pretty good but I ordered their General Tso's chicken for the first time this evening and it was very disappointing. It's suppose to be a bit crispy and a bit spicy but my order was soggy and very bland in the flavoring department. Could have used some more broccoli with the serving also. Rest of the meal, steamed dumplings and Wonton soup was fine and my wife enjoyed her veggie lo mein. read more

This is the best Chinese you can get in Surfside! Family owned and run. There's nothing like their Sesame or General Tso's chicken. The fried chicken wings are great too! Egg rolls are okay but everything else is so good it doesn't matter! read more

I went here once and ordered a chicken dish with brown rice. The counter person was not friendly. I paid and left. When I got home and opened my bag, I found the chicken dish and soy sauce poured on white rice. I never had brown rice like that before. I have no reason to go back. read more

I have never been an avid "reviewer" of food online. The food here was so horrible that i feel i have no choice but to give someone else fair warning. The "order" of beef teriyaki was four tiny pieces of what can only be described as dried up beef jerky. The crab Rangoon was soupy and foul tasting. The egg Foo young was burnt and the gravy was unappetizing. Lastly, the egg roll (even though it was the only thing that didn't turn my stomach) was 1/4 of the size of a normal egg roll. We ended up throwing the entire meal away and eating cereal for dinner. The one star I'm forced to give to write this review is far too generous.
