What went well? Everything. Easy to communicate with, pleasant and very knowledgeable. You can't go wrong with Bill and we'll use him again for sure. read more

5 stars for ease of scheduling and for the sweep. Would add another star if yelp allows it for keeping the prices reasonable and teaching us how to maintain our fireplace. We have an over 100 year old fireplace that needed cleaning especially after the fire and ash we've had around the area. Bill came out the next day after scheduling with him on the phone with his assistant and helped us cleaned our old fireplace. He also gave us a checklist of what to do and recommendations on where to buy fireplace items if we decided to go that route in the future. read more

Zach's expertise and enthusiasm made this an outstanding experience. Service like this gives you real hope for humanity!

An amazing service at an amazing price all with a smile and invaluable education on operating the fireplace. When you call for service, you will most likely be greeted with a very funny and welcoming voicemail message asking you for your contact information. Bill will call you back fairly quickly after you leave a message. You will notice how amazingly knowledgeable and experienced he is just by speaking to him for a few minutes. Because he is so good at what he does, he books up fairly quickly. But Bill will always try to find a spot in his schedule to accommodate you and your needs. I couldn't be happier with the service that was rendered at my house. Professional, clean, helpful, and quick! I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

These guys are great! They cleaned out a ton of crud from our fireplace which hadn't been serviced since well before we bought our house (years and years). They did a tune up as well and got everything working properly. Very knowledgable, friendly, and detail oriented. read more

Kind, informative, quick, and helpful. Literally everything one could want or need in a service provider. Hopefully I won't have to call him frequently (and he even gave me suggestions on how to maintain my fireplace so I wouldn't have to). But if I do? I'm calling Bill! read more

Thank you to Bill and his team for such wonderful and efficient work. It was very easy to speak with Bill and schedule an appointment. They came to our house inspected and cleaned the chimney. Bill even gave tips on how to properly use the fireplace, type of wood to use etc. Bill was VERY honest when answering all my questions. What makes it even better is they were the most reasonably priced company out of 8 others I had previously contacted. Don't think twice about hiring Bill. read more

Bill S. (Chimney Sweep Bill) is as good as they come. As a property manager, my duty is to maintain my client's properties and keep my tenants safe. Fireplace maintenance is key for this, and I always feel assured when Bill inspects or services one of my property's fireplaces. Bill is great to work with: he is prompt with service, affordable, and provides a comprehensive report of any findings. read more

Top-notch job in good value. Very friendly and efficient. Got the fireplace and chimney cleaned plus repaired the gas apparatus for a very fair price. Experienced and honest work I highly recommend them. read more

Bill was very professional, prompt service, very knowledgeable and he did a great job.

Bill came on time and went right to work. He protected my home and did a good job after our home was severely smoke damaged from the Eaton Fire. He was one of the only vendors that did not gouge us. His prices were beyond fair and he was a delight. I highly recommend Bill! read more

Bill and his assistant did a great job last week cleaning our chimney. I can't say I've ever hired one before but was pleasantly surprised when he showed up at the front door with a shop vac and was going to suck everything that fell down, out! I thought it would be a dusty mess (thinking of Mary Poppins) and at the end, noticed no difference. After he was done, he walked me through a thorough list of do's and don't's and even the best places to buy wood. Highly recommend his services! read more

Bill is smart and knows what needs to be corrected and not try to scare you and upsell the client.

Everything about my experience with Bill was excellent. the work he did, communication and timeliness. They left no mess afterwards. I have recommended him to others. read more

Bill and his son are a good team. Quick, reasonably priced, and very willing to explain everything in detail to you about your chimney without trying to oversell you on anything. Leaves a list with detail on how to care from your chimney and where to get high quality fire wood. Would definitely recommend. read more

Bill and his assistant were amazing. He went through and checked out our 100 year old fireplace, gave it a good cleaning and helped us figure out a great way to keep it functioning for years to come. The price is very fair and the service is impeccable! If you're having an issue with your fireplace, I have no doubt that Bill will tell it to you like it is - and do everything he can to make sure you're up and running - or if you need something more, he'll be the first to tell you. He's everything I've wanted in a chimney sweep. Thank you so much Bill for getting the fireplace cleaned up and working! read more

Wonderful service and cleaning of our chimney. Bill was prompt in responding to our inquiry. Bill worked around our schedule and made an appointment for us on a Saturday. His son Dalton was on time and did amazing work. Honest and trustworthy family business. We will be using them regularly for our chimney cleaning and highly recommend them to others. read more

Bill is extremely well informed about the workings of chimneys and fireplaces. Fast, clean, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly!

Bill was exactly who we needed to help with our chimney. We had to get our chimney cleaned and also install new rain caps. He was very easy to work with and came over early to do the cleaning and explained how to take care of our chimney and things to look out for in the future. He had to do a second trip to install the rain caps as they were special order but that second trip was a breeze just like the first. Bill even filled in some cracks in the exterior of our chimney at no charge! His rates are very competitive and I like that he's very straight forward and easy to work with. read more

Bill is a unicorn! Rarely, rarely do you find businesses that do everything they can to save you money. Super knowledgeable, goes the extra mile without you asking and affordable. I don't think you can ask for anything more. You can tell right away Bill loves what he does and frankly, I think it's less about chimneys and more about helping people in an area where they feel completely lost. Bill is the no-brainer choice. Let's all hope Unicorn Bill doesn't retire anytime soon! read more

I would highly recommend Bill! He was punctual, respectful, and followed COVID protocol. Our chimney hadn't been cleaned in years, and last winter the fires wouldn't stay lit. He cleaned it thoroughly, raised the fireplace grate up on some bricks we had outside for better ventilation for the fires, and installed a rain cap on the chimney. He also showed me that the damper was stuck in the open position, which will probably save me money on my heating bill this winter! After he finished, he explained in great detail everything I need to know to light a fire and keep it going. He also looked at the wood I have outside to make sure I had the right kind (split, dry wood). All in all, I am very pleased, as I now know my fireplace is clean and safe. I'm looking forward to having a lot of cozy fires this winter! Bill is great at what he does and I will definitely call him again! read more

Bill is the real deal. I called him because there was an animal stuck in my chimney. He arrived on time the next morning, gently removed the dove that was stuck, inspected and swept the chimney, and installed a rain cap and spark arrestor to make sure no animals would get stuck in there again. Bill also gave the dove water and made sure he was ok. Super nice guy, did an excellent job, and was very reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thanks Bill! read more

Hands down the best technician my wife and I have come across. Honest, timely, and affordable. He leaves you with instructions for how to care for your chimney so that you can continue to burn wood for decades. read more

Greatest chimney sweep guy I've had bill check out a couple of our properties after purchasing and each time he's been very honest and reasonable never try's to up sell ,always on time and will help you in every way possible Thanks Bill read more

I could not be happier with Bill. Our home inspection pointed out some issues with the chimneys when we first purchased the home. We didn't use either fireplace for more than three years as I was too overwhelmed to pick someone to come out and address what we thought was thousands of dollars of damage. When Bill came out, you could tell right away that he knew what he was doing and wouldn't try to upsell you on unnecessary repairs. A chimney cleaning later and we are ready to light a fire this winter! He even took the time to show us how to properly use the fireplace and gave us some safety tips. Don't wait years like I did, call Bill! read more

Bill is great. Highly recommend his services! I bought a home and paid another company to inspect and provide me a quote for chimney work and the quote came out VERY high. They also recommended a lot of work. I decided to get another opinion and had Bill take a look. He didn't agree with most of the previous company's report and gave me an honest assessment of the work that needed to be done. He came out and did the work quickly and made sure that I was knowledgeable on my fireplace. His price was fair...and he saved me from the THOUSANDS the other company quoted me. read more

Call Bill to schedule an appointment, they were booked out roughly about 2-3 weeks which is great to hear for local businesses. Bill came by and inspected and cleaned our chimney along with giving us information on how to properly light the fireplace and keep it running smoothly. We will be definitely using them on a regular basis to maintain your fireplace and chimney. read more

Nice and professional, good advice given in addition to the sweeping.

Bill was great! He inspected the chimney from above and below and helped teach me how to use the chimney properly! Left some instructions in case I forgot. Even gave me a gas key since I lost mine! Great service, great price, nice guy! read more

Bill is a real professional. He's knowledgeable and honest. He cleaned our chimney throughly, inspected it and performed minor fixes to ensure it was safe to use. This was after another company declared our chimney is about to collapse. Highly recommend calling him if you need an inspection and work done. read more

Great service! Bill responded promptly to my voicemail, provided a very reasonable estimate, showed up on time and completed the job with no surprises. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for prompt, reliable and reasonably-priced service. read more

All the Yelp reviews I read about Bill were correct! Clean, friendly, informative & honest. I hired Bill to verify a "crack" my home inspector warned me about. Bill arrived on time and swept the chimney. Once he was all done (leaving the area cleaner than when he arrived) Bill sealed the crack. He stated it would must likely have been an issue but aired on the side of caution. When Bill was done, he explained proper heating techniques as to not get the black smoke on the outside of the hearth. He also advised on types of wood to burn and recommended an honest wood delivery guy. I cannot recommend Bill enough! Can't wait to use the fireplace on the next cold evening!!! read more

BILL ROCKS!! He came by a couple weeks ago to install a critter cap on the chimney and give it a good clean out. Refreshed our memory on operating the old-school gas switch and got everything working in tip top shape! Gave us a super price for the project and, as before, was so very pleasant to interact with. He and his assistant (who was also quite friendly) were very mindful of not letting my cats out while they were working, which I very much appreciate, what with living near the forest where lots of much larger beasties roam about from time to time. It has been so nice the past couple of weeks to come home and enjoy a crackling warm fire in our fireplace when it's cold. Can't recommend this business highly enough. THANK YOU again, Bill! read more

Everything went great! I had him come out to check my chimney and do a cleaning. He was prompt, professional and everything went great! I'll definitely hire again for future cleanings and/or work I need done on my chimney/fireplace! read more

We decided yesterday that we should have our two fireplaces cleaned in our newly purchased home before using them. I requested a number of quotes from chimney sweep companies. Bill was quick to respond and offered a very fair price. Also he was the only one willing to do the job the very next morning (on a Sunday no less!) He showed up nice and early, did an excellent job cleaning and inspecting our two fireplaces, and taught us how to properly use our fireplace and what to do and not do to keep our fireplace clean. I wish I had his energy so early in the morning! He was polite, professional, knowledgeable and honest. We were very satisfied and highly recommend Chimney Sweep Bill. read more

Chimney Sweep Bill - Successful fireplace lighting after chimney sweep bill service and tutorial - Chimney Sweeps Near Me

Bill came out today. He was on time, actually a little early, which is great. He took about an hour to clean and inspect the chimney. He made zero mess in the house or outside. The best part was his honesty--he said we didn't have a damper (true) and that we could get a new one with a new cap and some other stuff for about $500, but that since we were not planning to use the fireplace anytime soon (due to some other repairs we know are needed first), that he advised just stuffing a big pillow up there to keep a draft from sucking up the warm air in winter. He said he'd be happy to take my money, but that if we were going to do the other repairs down the line anyways, it would just be a waste and that as long as we did not use the chimney, the pillow would address my concerns. I could not be happier. I wanted to make sure that no rain would get in the chimney and that it wouldn't suck our warm air out in winter. We won't be using it anytime soon. He listened to my request and intentions and delivered the exact service we needed. All for a great price! And the chimney is noticeably cleaner too! read more

Bill runs and excellent business. I called and made an appoint for chimney cleaning, and he was here early the next day at 9A. He did a thorough job, gave helpful tips regarding the chimney damper and the heater / air conditioner, gave wood recommendations for good savings, and also gave me a full page list of of FAQs and answers most people wouldn't think to ask. Excellent thorough job. Thank you. read more
