We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it.

The food is pretty good inside at the Beach Front Grill. Their options are a California burrito, turkey wrap (my personal fav) and a veggie wrap along with some kids items (pizza, quesadilla, etc.) There's also personal cabanas you can rent for $200 where you get a fridge and personalized service. Make sure you rent ahead of time, however. There are lots of chairs and lounge chairs with huge umbrellas over to protect you from the sun, but I expect this place to be packed during the summer so you may want to bring your personal handheld sun umbrella. Lockers are available and free life vests. Again, likely to go quickly during the summer. Highly recommend coming during off season, but make sure to check Legolands website as it isn't open all the time.

I like The Wave…read more This place has been around since I was in High School, so damn near 30 years now. Back then, it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Now, it's a pretty good place to bring the kids for a few hours of cool swimming on a hot day. The park is small, limited to a large pool for regular swimming, a splash pad for younger kids, a three story tower with multiple slides, a quick flowing lazy river, and the aforementioned wave machine. On crowded days, you can end up brushing elbows in the water with strangers, and it can be a 10 minute wait for a slide. But, even in the middle of summer, I never felt like it was too packed to cause any problems. Prices are reasonable. Around $70 will get you a season pass that will let you come all summer. And, if you're like me, there's a $11 Happy Hour option that let's you hang out for a couple of hours before the pool closes ... a perfect once or twice a week choice to bring young kids that want to swim, but you don't want them baking too long in the sun. The pool itself is as clean as you'd expect; the surrounding area has some wear and tear, but nothing too bad considering the age of the place. And all of the lifeguards are well trained, very attentive, and still friendly while doing the unenviable task of making sure people don't get overly rowdy. All-in-all, The Wave isn't as grand as a Raging Rivers or the water park at LegoLand, but it's still well priced and fine enough to keep your kids cool and happy. I'm sure I'll be back next summer.

We came just for the day and it was worth every penny! I love how they allow you to leave and come back that's always nice. There's plenty of parking and i believe you can ask to be taken to your car via golf cart lol I really enjoyed my time here to celebrate my birthday! My masseuse Maria was 10/10!!!! I highly highly recommend her! Omg i have never had a massage that good! She worked on the areas i told her i had tension and the oil they used was so delicious! It had juniper and it was just magical. We'll definitely return!

Golf course maintenance crews are up and at it, around 6:30 in the morning(!!). Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep and, when asked to change rooms, they were booked and had nothing available for us. As for dining... "room service" is a joke where you order online, get charged $40 for them to bring it to your room and, it's cold by the time it gets there. We had Easter brunch at Vue which was just ok. I got the eggs Benedict which, when cut open, revealed clear runoff of barely cooked egg - instantly made my hunger disappear. My husband's breakfast, the chorizo scramble, and son's breakfast, pancakes, were totally fine and edible. For the amount of money it is to stay here, I think it's 1000% overrated and we'll skip it next time we're in SD, for sure. There's really no need to come here.

The condo was HUGE, super clean, and had everything we could possibly need -- honestly, I think we could've hosted a small party in there! The location is insane -- walking distance to LEGOLAND, and there's even a secret pathway that leads straight to the parking entrance. Talk about convenience! No "are we there yet?!" from the kids because it was just a hop, skip, and a jump away. The resort itself is amazing -- our suite was right by the playground, so the kids were entertained while we got a tiny breather. And the best part? We could watch LEGOLAND fireworks right from our room at night. Ping pong, games, and laughter galore -- this place is basically a kid paradise... and a slight adult paradise too because the beds were comfy. And the staff? Absolutely the sweetest ever! They were so friendly and helpful, and one of the ladies even went out of her way and bought a cake for my daughter's birthday -- I mean, can you even?! That was the sweetest thing ever and really made our trip extra special. and not to mention smore packages and u can have smore night!! Price-wise, the 2‑bedroom, 2‑bathroom suite for a Friday/Saturday night is typically around $400-$500+, depending on the season -- but honestly, with everything you get, it's worth every penny for a stress-free, fun-packed family getaway. Bottom line: If you're heading to LEGOLAND, stop looking -- this is your spot. Amazing location, amazing suite, amazing staff, and unforgettable family memories!

Legoland, the Disneyland alternative in Southern California. Amazing theme park for teens and young…read moreadults. I myself am in my 30s and I felt like I was too old for it, but I enjoyed the rides nonetheless. 1. Galacticoaster- 5/5 similar to space mountain at Disneyland but faster and more intense, it's their newest ride with the longest line, but I purchased their $170 fast pass that had 5 minute wait to save time on a busy day. Not worth it unless it's spring break or summer for the fast pass. Top 3 best attractions there. 2. Emmets flying adventure ride - 5/5 best attraction at park, it is like a journey ride where you are lifted in an 8 row seat across into a platform that allows you to watch legos in a sky city traveling through clouds. 3. Technic Coaster - 5/5 top 3 best ride there. Most intense ride with strong g forces on the drop. It's like crazy mouse coaster but more intense. Mainly for thin or small people due to small restraints. I'm skinny so fit just fine in it. 4. Ninjago - 5/5 top 5 ride at park, adventure ride with points to hitting Lego ninjas, it's a game ride and line can be long, go to it first as it is near entrance. Fun family sit down shooter for points. Great music and ambiance. 5. Coastersaurus/dragon coaster - 4.5/5 similar coasters, but for teenagers. The coastersaurus goes around twice but is short, the dragon coaster is a unique themed dragon coaster, very fun for families. 6. Coast cruise - 4/5 river boat ride with commentary, relaxing but can be hot on a summer day. It was alright, not that special but relaxing, basically "it's a small world" from Disneyland but outside. The rest of the attractions are below a 4/5. So about 5-6 rides are great. I will make honorable mention to the submarine ride, but it was like a 4/5. You go underwater in submarine and find treasure. It was decent but I would say Disneyland has a better submarine ride. Other notable mentions are that the food there is not great, my friend and I ordered hamburgers and fries, they really need better food. This place was by the galacticoaster. Below the galacticoaster has disco drop kitty and there are ramen and other restaurants in that area near emmets flying ride but I reckon it is unhealthy. An amazing family theme park overall, I enjoyed it more than Disneyland due to less crowd but also same or similar quality rides and the quantity of rides and Lego stores and activities were great. Parking lot was massive and a very odd scenery of Lego castle front. The sea life aquarium was amazing! I enjoyed touching the starfish, sea anemone and sea urchins along with looking at jellyfish glowing. Definitely a great addition. I want to come back in the future after 30 years since my last visit. Definitely worth going to when it's not busy otherwise, you're forced to purchase the fast pass which can be expensive for $170. You get on all rides at least with it guaranteed regardless of the overpacked crowds we witnessed that day we went.

Now all of a sudden the other days had to be used within 60 days of first visit. I'm not able to put into words how tragic this is to my 3 kids. I'm trying to console them while I spent 25 mins calling Legoland and NEVER being able to get to speak to an actual human. All this aside, Legoland is the biggest waste of money. It is absolutely the most boring amusement park in existence. There's barely anything to do without spending extra money. The rides are only fun for kids under 3 but you have to be taller than a 3 year old to go on any of them. The food is like cardboard. The displays are ugly and definitely not worth the cost of admission. Shame on legoland for misleading consumers, for traumatizing my kids, and for stealing my money. Same for Costco to allow this to happen to their members.

We went here for one day and it did not feel like enough time to do everything, which was ok for us since we didn't see a need to try ever ride and experience everything they had to offer. Definitely for younger kiddos. We took our 4.5 year old who enjoyed the experience, but it could have been any kids theme park as we don't know much about legos. The experience might be more enhanced if you and your family are lego fans. The main park has some water play areas, so if it's a hot day your kids might enjoy the water (so I'd recommend you bring swim clothes and a change of clothes!) even if you didn't get tickets for the main water park.

If you come on a weekday, the lines aren't too bad. There are so many fantastic and well maintained playgrounds and play areas, and I appreciate the sensory room as a mother of two toddlers. Now, the shortcomings. Every employee we interacted with besides 2 of them seemed miserable. They had bad attitudes, didn't want to help, were too distracted talking to coworkers, etc. to bring a positive experience to the guests. My other complaint is that everything truly is so expensive. I understand it's a theme park, but the prices for food and drinks were absurd. We also were so excited for the driving school to get our son's "license" and it was $30 for a card with his photo and a lanyard. It's cute, but they could charge 1/3 of the price and still make a great profit. This price gouging makes the difference in regular trips or not. Also, standard parking was $40.
