I have had both the Red Light therapy and Cryotherapy. I haven't noticed a difference from the Red Light treatment. There may be benefits but I'm just not sure. However, I can unequivocally say the results of the Cryotherapy is amazing. My body does not ache or feel as sore afterwards. I have had 2 sessions so far and I highly recommend you try Cryotherapy at Chilltonic if you want to feel immediate relief. The Cryotherapy Pro session lasts 3 minutes and 30 seconds. The first 2 minutes are fine but during the last 1.5 minutes my shoulder and arms start to hurt from the cold air blowing on me. If you can hang in there and finish, you will feel great afterwards. After you step out, you will notice a tingling sensation on your skin. The first time I tried it, I asked the person who did it before me if she had any suggestions. She said, just dance. Just visited today to get a Myers Cocktail IV because I just wasn't feeling like myself after a cold. The establishment is very clean and comfortable with a modern vibe. The nurse that helped me was Galeet. I'm typically afraid of needles and sometimes pass out, but Galeet had a very calming energy and I have to say, she's the first nurse that was able to put a needle into my arm without feeling it go in, while it was in, or when it came out. I told her that I sometimes pass out and she was extra caring and cautious, she had a very calming energy about her and it was very much appreciated. My daughter and I flew in to San Diego for a soccer tournament and I was looking for a therapy and wellness place for my injuries and I wanted my daughter to be relaxed and prepared for her tournament. They explained the services in detail that my 15-year-old could understand, and the prices were way cheaper than in Northern California. The place is neat, organized and has a pleasant vibe to it. I recently visited Chiltonic off a recommendation to try cryotherapy for my lower back and some muscular pains. What an amazing experience. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, made me feel at home. All questions and concerns were asked from health to safety to what is to be expected from the therapy, short term and long term. They are more than just a cryotherapy place, I learned about cryo-facials and Cryo T-Shock reduces fatty deposits by using extreme cold to constrict the blood vessels. As an athlete I did just the cryo-chamber on this visit, and plan to continue this and advocate it to my fellow athletes and weekend warriors. I do have some tricky fat spots, and for sure will give that a go in the future. Speaking to a lady in reception area, she loved the results she was getting from the T-Shock treatment. Research also shows that cryo is great for people with rheumatoid arthritis. My mother has it, so I was mentioning to her and hope to get her on board. The best thing I've done for myself in a long time! I don't have any injuries and I'm not an athlete, just an average woman in my 40's, who is interested in reversing the signs of aging. I had trouble sleeping through the night for a while and read about CT before. Very glad I tried out Chill Tonic. I have a few aches and pains from mountain biking so decided to see if cryotherapy could help (it seems to work for athletes). I was a little nervous initially wondering how I'd handle the very low temperatures, but Gretchen (the owner/manager) stayed during the 3 minute session, watching the temperature as well as chatting and keeping my mind off the chill. I did find the cold to be quite intense, but the time flew - I couldn't believe the 3 minutes was up (3 minutes on a treadmill feels much longer). About 5 to 10 minutes after warming up, I got rush of either adrenaline or endorphins. I was surprised as I went in thinking that the suggested 'feeling of wellness' that some get from the treatment was placebo effect. That is not the case, I genuinely felt fantastic afterwards.
