Haven't been to this gelato place for over 3 years! I'm so glad it's still here in Whitestone. The place is located across a park so there are some parking spaces on the side streets or across the place. I came with my friends on a weekday night 30 minutes before closing and there was a party of 4 still eating inside. My friends and I each got to sample 3 flavors each and then we each ended up getting 2 different flavors each. One of my friends got the blood orange and grapefruit which were very refreshing and not flavors you commonly find elsewhere. They remind me of the San pellegrino paloma flavor. My other friend got pistachio and ferrero rocher which are her go-to flavors. The pistachio was not as strong as I would have liked compared to other icecream places. As for me, I got to sample the almond cookie but it barely had any almond flavor to it. So, I went with the white chocolate cherry and rainbow cookie. The white chocolate cherry was light but heavy at the same time. The white chocolate gives the heavy feeling but the sweetness was light. Very unique and subtle cherry flavor too with some cherry pieces occasionally. My favorite hands down is the rainbow cookie with the perfect amount of the almond flavor I like and some chocolate texture which I could do without. For two scoops, it came up to $5.75 and there is a slight cash discount. We were still eating 2 minutes after their closing time and the employees did not kick us out as they were cleaning but we left shortly afterwards. Very friendly and helpful staff! And ample of indoor and outdoor seats.

Absolutely delicious gelato! The s'mores was perhaps the most authentic tasting s'mores flavored anything I've had in a long time - it really tasted like I just roasted marshmallows on the campfire. The deep chocolate was so RICH and phenomenal, and the cookies and cream was packed with flavor too. A bit on the pricey side for the amount of gelato, but the flavor makes up for it!

Chillato is my new favorite ice cream spot in the neighborhood and I can have it a couple of times a week. The decor is simple & cozy with indoor seating. Their available flavors are various and this would definitely keep us coming back to try different options. We had their Pistachio, Butter Scotch and Frerrero Rocher. All 3 were really good and rich with creamy texture.

I'm surprised by how close this gelato spot is from my home! I'm glad that I got to try this place out! They have a lot of flavors that you can choose from. From creamy gelato flavors like Nocciola, Pistachio, and Reese's to fruity sorbet flavors like Mango, Raspberry-Lychee and Passion Fruit, you'll find something that you will like. Too many flavors? Don't know what to choose? Don't worry. You can always ask the staff to let you try the flavor(s) of your choice before buying it. The Nocciola was super creamy and had a rich hazelnut flavor. I also enjoyed the Mango and Raspberry-Lychee sorbet flavors. When I visited, I wanted to try the Earl Grey gelato but it was nowhere to be seen. I assumed that they ran out but lo and behold they had it in the back! I was one happy camper and bought a large sized cup to devour at home. They also have a freezer on the right-hand side that have pre-packed flavors if you want to take it home to your freezer. I'll be going back to try more flavors.

The Ume was pretty good. I ordered a kids size Ume icecream for $3.80. I definitely taste the Ume and it wasn't overly sweet. There were many flavors to choose from but this seem to catch my eye the most. It is worth trying. The service were patient and the atmosphere was cute.

My husband is a huge ice cream cake fan all his life and he said this is the next one he ever had (that's pretty big for someone who turned 34 this year, he's had quite a few lol)! Love that you can "build" the ice cream cake to your liking and they all look very cute too Would love to go back and just get a few scoops of their gelato since they have some weekly new flavors

It has been awhile since I been back here since covid started. Been trying to step in for sometime now. Well I am happy I did today. This is a very nice little place and very clean and has a fresh look. They have a very good selection of gelato. Everything was just so good. I got myself a large and had 4 different flavors, all were delicious. I really want need an excuse to buy a cake and give it a try. The staff was very friendly and assisted quickly. A real good place for the neighborhood. Will be back to get some more different flavors. Gotta try them all.

But the taste is great, the portions are huge, and it's definitely worth it! Pistachio: The pistachio flavor is very strong, even a bit salty. Those who like it will love it, while those who don't might find it strange--for example, my dad thought it tasted like salted fish. No Sugar Added Hazelnut: The best of the bunch. The nutty and creamy aroma of hazelnuts is rich, and because no sugar is added, it's not too sweet. A pure yet exquisite flavor. Strawberry Mascarpone & Ricotta: Amazing! It tastes like strawberry cheesecake! The perfect amount of cheese, combined with the refreshing strawberry jam, is simply wonderful. Cranberry: A very simple fruit sorbet. Most people might find it too sour, but for someone like me who loves sour flavors and had just eaten in Thai restaurant like Tha Phraya, it was perfect. Refreshing, natural, and helps cut through the greasiness.

I settled on the pistachio creme brulee (one flavor). It was a creme brulee base with pistachios mixed in. The texture was a little more liquidy than what I expect from gelato. Flavor was less bold and less creamy than what I expect as well. Ate a lot more like a sorbet. Pricey at about $10 for a small waffle cone (excluding rip). Service was quick and polite.

Concept: cold gelato sandwiched between a hot sweet bun, with your choice of sweet sauces. Not instagrammable whatsoever. It looks absolutely nothing like the picture they have up. Looks more like a squished McDonald's hamburger where you can't see what is inside. All you see is bun. This concept doesn't work with a hot bun. Flavor profile of sandwich. Bun was sweet and clashed with the already sweet gelato. Didn't particularly like texture of bun. Even though I ate it right away, a warm bun with melting ice cream in between, just starts dripping all over my hands and arm, creating a sticky mess. Napkins alone couldn't clean off the stickiness. Had to find a bathroom to clean up. Pistachio flavor gelato was gritty in texture. This is a small outdoor window stall. No indoor or outdoor seating. Final note: Very disappointed that their advertised picture looks nothing like what you actually get. The idea of a hot bun with gelato in between doesn't work. People don't like eating drippy melted gelato. A plain scoop of sorbetto is pretty good. I'd recommend ordering that.

Unfortunately, unlike the other reviews, the staff was not as friendly and she seems to took awhile to get the order right (she had to re do it for mixing the flavors wrongly) but perhaps it's late afternoon on a hot summer day so she is having a difficult day. Remember to bring cash as there is a surcharge if you use credit card. I got in a cup so cannot comment on the cone or sandwich version. Great addition to flushing especially during the hot summer days!

The way the containers are sold is what they call a regular, medium and large. We did see cones as well, but we were offered prices for the contaibners, so we went with that. You can have one or two flavors in the regular, up to three flavors in the medium and up to four flavors in the large container. Or, you can have just one flavor - up to you. Note to keep in mind: Gelato melts fairly quickly, so if you select flavors like chocolate, mango, and strawberry mascarpone and ricotta in the same container, you are going to have a gastro-nightmare in your mouth! Therefore, I recommend you select flavors that have similar ingredients or are complimentary in some way. As an example, we got the dark chocolate, the hazelnut mousse and chocolate crunch, and the stracciatella. Our favorite was the dark chocolate (plain). The hazelnut mousse was too grainy and sweet for our liking. The stracciatella was nice, but lacked depth of flavor to the gelato overall. Staff will let you try samples on a small spoon if you are undecided. The line can be long (out onto the side walk) to get in, and there are very few tables. So, when you make your order unless you are there on a "down time" be prepared to walk and eat your gelato (another reason to keep in mind the flavors in case of drips on your clothes)! The scoop is served standing up in the container. After the adjacent theaters let out, the line is long. We got a regular size container and with the tax and tip it was just a little over $11. The regular size container is suited to one person. The medium can potentially serve two people if you share "nicely" with each other! They also sell yogurt and coffee drinks. We were in town just for a few days, so we only tried three flavors, but if we were back in the area again, we would try some of the fruit-flavors they sell. Enjoy!
