They had 3 homemade ice cream flavors available, so I tried the lemon mint Oreo (which was delicious). I'm a huge cookies-n-cream fan, so it was a unique twist to add lemon flavor. Portions are huge and generous - I ordered a "small size" in a cup, but it felt like 2 or 3 giant scoops anywhere else. Really good value for ice cream! The ambience is old-school with nothing fancy. It's a simple roadside building where you place your order on the right side window, then wait to pickup at the left side window. About 18 total parking spots are available as well as several outdoor benches. They accept credit cards. Overall, the homemade ice cream was excellent. Would recommend coming here if you're visiting the Christiansburg / Blacksburg area.

Super nice friendly people, coffee was pretty good, sourdough sandwich was incredible! They said "she is in good hands when she is in here". I have no doubt. If you are in or near Radford, you have to try this place. It was busy, and the family was apologetic for the time it took, which honestly was not bad. The decor was cool. A bunch of cartoons, and video games from late 70's/early 80's. It works for a college town for the kids in college and their parents I guess. I hope they are there to stay! I will definitely be back!

I've had several of their sandwiches and many of their loaves of sourdough and they are all amazing. I just had the Goonies grilled cheese half sandwich with amazing creamy tomato soup. Holy moly it was sooooo good. They have a wonderful variety of lattes and coffee drinks and delicious cookies. I'm usually not crazy about chocolate chip cookies but their brown butter chocolate chip cookies were heavenly! I also adore their soft ginger cookies and absolutely amazing cinnamon buns. Sooooo yummy!!! The service is excellent as well and the staff are so friendly!

I'm usually a black coffee gal, but I decided to get a latte-ish drink because I needed something that photographed a little better. The Cafe Nola is l espresso shots topped with cream, so it looks like a latte but it's even more decadent. It was very tasty, and went well with the beignets and beignet chips I ordered. The beignets here are more like mini elephant ears, but they're still worth a try. I liked the beignet chips a little better -- they're nice and crispy, and dusted with powdered sugar. I visited during breakfast, so I also got a bacon, egg and cheese panini. It was good but the bread could have been a little more toasted, if I'm being nit-picky (and when am I not?). The panini came with fries, which were delicious. There is lots of seating at Brew Da Bean. If you can't find a place to sit in the main dining room, just walk down the hall and you'll see a whole other room with tables.

I stayed in Bluefield and he lives in Princeton, but he met me here since it was on my way to Cherokee. This leg of the trip was to drop off some cash for Mr. Bob. A lot of it. It looks like the prices for the sandwiches are very fair, but I got a bagel, and the price for one bagel is too high. However, this is more of a sandwich and coffee shop; it's not a bagel store. I definitely recommend The Grind. I'm not really a morning person so I don't know what Bob was talking about half the time, but that's just me. Definitely recommended!

It is next to the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum, so stopping here after a visit would be super easy. My drink ended up being sugary-sweet and I probably would have asked them to dial it down if I had realized. On the plus side, they were able to get drinks out pretty quickly, in spite of there being quite the crowd. The space was clean and modern. Also, the bathroom was clean and very much appreciated on our road trip. I probably wouldn't sit and enjoy my drink here, due to the high traffic (at least when I visited). For a quick stop in, it's nice. I'll be sure to order better next time. Solid spot!
