Yummy!!! I got to try some delicious dogs yesterday from Chill Dogs food truck while hanging at Plot Twist and I thoroughly enjoyed them! Great service and I loved the hot dog choices. I had to try their kinda outrageous Trailer dog. It had mac and cheese, chili, onions and crushed fritos and it was good. I really enjoyed the OG Backyard dog the most though. Can't go wrong with a good ole fashioned hot dog. I had two but alsmost ordered a third because they were so good. Prices were also affordable and I loved that they offer beef, turkey and veggie hot dogs too. read more

Brought my Mom here because she requested a chilli dog and we live in Harrisburg. Cute spot behind Wells Fargo but it would be easy to miss. Got to meet one half of the husband wife team who are the owners. Great learning their story. Unfortunately I rarely eat meat so I didn't try a dog but mom had a chili cheese and a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. She enjoyed both. They have quite a few flavors of ice cream. Dirty sodas. No really that's the name I will say there were several signs up for different specials and that was a bit confusing but the owner highlighted the $3 dog special. Any dog for $3 so I also grabbed one to go for my son. I know for sure this is my mom's new spot for ice cream. There's a patio with seating for about 20 and you can reserve it. Go check these folks out and take the family! read more

Hidden away behind a bank off Highway 49 in Harrisburg sits the best little hotdog restaurant. Only open for a few months, this place was great. They serve up several specialty hotdogs or you can create your own. If you make it a combo you can add a side of your choosing and it includes a drink. The restaurant looks small from the outside but inside there is plenty of seating and they have a courtyard for dining outside in nice weather. You order at the counter and the staff was friendly and very kind when we asked a few questions regarding dietary restrictions of one of our guests. They also have ice cream, milkshakes and cookie skillets so save some room!!! read more

In this area for an event. On the way back decided to stop in since it was on the way and the pictures made it look good. From the outside, you may think twice but once you see the nice mural and open the door, your mind will change. Nice seating area indoors although there are some benches outside and large screens showcase the menu. Very organized. A couple of large screens tv as well. The employee was great in explaining the special #2 which is add a hot dog for $3. Went with that. The fries were pretty good, a little too thin but nice flavor. The hot dog was excellent! Got the dinner dog, great cheese sauce with the bacon and fries. Delicious. If around, I would definitely check them out. It also seems like a family operation. Oh and there's ice cream too. Plus a game of XO's at each table. read more

Upon arrival to pick up my online order they immediately told me they didn't get it because the system was down, ok. I'll assume no fault of theirs (thus the 2 stars) and they did provide accommodating CS for the most part. After showing proof that I did indeed place the order and paid in full (with a tip), they proceeded to make the order. The real disappointment; for my friend wanted to try this place for a good chili dog (thus the order of 2 chili dogs) and only one came with chili? See picture for more proof. We ended up taking some of the chili off the other one made correctly and putting it on hers. This is my/our testimony. read more

What a great little spot! They have both inside and outside seating with friendly servers and extremely fair prices. I had the Firehouse dog with chili, gooey cheese, and hot sauce; it actually comes with jalapeños as well but I'm not a fan. Great other selections as well, such as the Dinner dog that comes with their crispy hand cut fries, gooey cheese and bacon. My daughter gave it both thumbs up. Would've posted a pic but ate too fast!! read more

This is my first time at Chill Dogs. My mom came here on lunch and thought it was so cute and fairly priced. It gives me the feel of a little vacation spot to get hot dogs, snacks and ice cream. Very clean and laid back atmosphere. They have 5 Hot Dog creations with toppings like cheese sauce, bacon, chili, slaw, and so on. They have sides like Mac & Cheese, French fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries and even Cole slaw. For those who don't like hot dogs, they have brats, chicken tenders, pizza logs, hamburgers t pretzels, and Mac & cheese bites. When you are done with your dog or "not dog" grab some desert! They have milkshakes, sundaes, "frostbite", soft serve ice cream and Hershey's hard ice cream flavors. Pretty nice selection of hard ice cream flavors too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this cute little spot in Harrisburg by the Harrisburg Library. read more

I've always been of the opinion that you cannot mess up a hot dog. But this place challenged that thinking to the max. I ordered two Carolina dogs. They should have been called Cole slaw dogs. There was more Cole slaw than anything else and it was bland. The hot dog under the slaw was tiny and lacked any flavor. If there was chili on it, I couldn't taste it for the bland slaw. Also had onion rings that were 80% breading and no seasoning. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more

I heard Harrisburg had a new hot dog and ice cream spot so I had to check it out. I showed up on I believe their second day open during the dinner rush. The line moved fairly quickly and my chocolate shake was made right away and it was very good. Unfortunately that was the only thing I really liked. The onion rings were under cooked and had no salt and the mac and cheese bites could have been cooked a bit longer as well. The chili dog had too much mustard on it and the hit dog itself just wasn't my favorite. It would be nice if they had napkins on the tables as their hot dogs can be very messy. I did like the little table games they had lying around. I know they just opened, but hopefully they get better as I would like to see this business succeed. read more

Placed order at the register and sat down to wait for food order. When it came, the french fries were limp and only warm, not hot. I felt like they weren't freshly made and were sitting under a heat lamp for a while because of how limp they were and NOT CRISPY. Have to be fair and say that the breaded onion rings were delicious. No complaints about the soft drink selection either. BUT the Carolina Dog was just average. I could have made one at home just as good. The yellow mustard squeezed on top is a mistake. It is too messy that way and takes a bunch of napkins because you get it all over your hands. They should put the mustard on the roll FIRST!!! Everything considered, I was not impressed. read more

New place, has potential but it was a bust today. Need more experience in the kitchen. Onion rings weren't done all the way, we also had mac and cheese bites that were barely at temp to serve and the hotdogs was nothing special. We spent around $40 waited about 30-40 mins for food and by that time my chocolate shake had melted, again new place, will revisit as time goes to try again read more

This is a cool little spot that has hotdogs and ice cream. I tried the hotdogs today. I had the Smokey Tex which has bbq sauce, bacon, fried onion bits and shredded cheddar. I also tried the dinner dog that has fries cheese sauce and bacon on it. Both were good. The hotdog is good and I believe it's a Buffalo staple. The fries were excellent. Happy hour is 2-5 pm and hot dogs are half price. The people working were super friendly and made sure everything was fresh and good. read more

I was incredibly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great menu and price for what they offer. My wife and I shared a 3 Dog combo, with 1/2 fries 1/2 onion rings. I couldn't help but try the pizza logs just for fun. I wish I would have taken some pictures but it was all eaten too fast. The hot dogs were loaded with the toppings we wanted, and although we tried 3 different ones, the Carolina one was our favorite. Sides were delicious. Excited to come back and try the loaded potatoes, and the ice cream nachos haha. Would recommend! read more

I ordered the basic chilli cheese dog with French fries! I only regret that I didn't order 2 with bacon. Omg it was so good. Love the French fries. Wish I had chilli and cheese added. Great location on a nice sunny day. Staff is very friendly. read more

First off let me say the hot dogs were delicious. The onions rings looked so good but they were extremely greasy ( a puddle of grease in bottom of basket) and were not good at all. But the biggest problem I had with the meal was the price. You can see by the pictures what I bought along with a medium drink and it was 23 dollars!! Just wasn't worth it all. These are small hot dogs not foot longs. Downtown Concord has a hot dog place that is much more reasonable. I hated to give this place a low score because I would love to see it succeed but it is just too expensive read more

What a quaint little place!! Outside looks are deceiving! We ordered the "Build Your Own" all beef hotdog with onion rings and fries (combos) The onion rings were the BEST I've had in years!! There are NO heat lamps so everything is always fresh. They have bratwurst, chicken tenders, fried pickles and pizza logs in case you're not in the mood for a "dog". We topped off our meal with a yummy scoop of ice cream. Very nice wife and husband business with very friendly staff. Come check them out!! Easy to find in Harrisburg, NC. read more

Great option for a quick meal. We've ordered online for pickup a few times without any issues.

Came back recently for a couple of Carolina dogs. They were good--freshly made, good chili and slaw on them. But I do have one complaint--the mustard was put on top of all the other condiments. This looks pretty on IG but it makes the hot dog unnecessarily messy to eat. Mustard is a condiment for the frank, and not the diner's face, hands, or shirt. Put it down in the bun next to the meat where it belongs! read more

This review is long overdue! We have been to Chill Dogs many times, and each time they raise the bar! My daughters are obsessed with the ice creams, I highly recommend the Carolina Dog, and my husband is a huge fan of the chili cheese fries! But aside from the food being delicious- what REALLY makes the difference is the EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Specifically how accommodating and interactive they are with my two daughters! This is the perfect spot!! Wishing them much success! read more

Went for the first time today. Had the dog with chili, cheese and fries on it. Superb. Loved the fries and haven't had the slender cut like those in a long time. Super friendly and attentive staff. $8 for any specialty dog, side and drink. Honestly, it was worth it and I will be back. Very clean and surprisingly good size dining room for a small building. Biggest challenge they have is location. Easy parking, but if you aren't looking for it, you might miss it. Located right behind the Wells Fargo bank after turning towards Harrisburg Park/Library. read more

Great Carolina dogs and incredible onion rings! My only complaint is that they were very busy

Yelp Peeps- So went to ( Chill Dogs ) in Harrisburg today with the fam for lunch. - The food was at best OK, I really don't want to be too critical or "rip on" a new business venture, but here are my takeaways. (Staff was super friendly BTW) -Hotdogs, well I know they have the famous "snap" but really wasn't that impressed. The taste overall just seemed, well a hot dog with a bunch of stuff on it, that frankly ya could do at home. NOW, I understand this is a loaded statement as with any establishment. You go out not just for the food but the experience. But I'm sorry a Hot Dog is just a hot dog in my opinion. -Fries were crispy but had 0% salt on them, some may like that, but I found it odd that I had to add salt to my fries. - Onion Rings, literally just a battered O-Ring, no spices, no flavor and not fried long enough. -Chicken tenders were probably the star of this culinary endeavor, and they weren't anything special to rave about either. -Price Point, it's expensive to eat out, really anywhere, so it is what is it, but honestly felt a little short changed today for what we spent. Portion sizes could have been bigger too, just saying. That is all for now. If you are a fan, go enjoy, if you were on the fence about going, maybe pass on it for now. - The ice cream did look pretty good though, so an addendum part 2 review may be coming for that alone. ‍ read more
