Came here because everyone else had line waits. This place only had a 15 minute wait. I purchased a basic burger. Tasteless, greasy mess. They most have bought ground beef on sale with a 70/30 mix because this was junk. Waitresses seem kind of dense and unorganized as well. Have 2 10 year olds, they both ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, even the skinny one wasn't full and both said the food was tasteless. I should have read the Yelp reviews before I went. The service was very slow and was not up to par. Did not bring refills, food was not as ordered, and she did not listen to anything we said. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING VEGAN WHAT SO EVER!!! How any restaurant in this day and age doesn't have at least one descent option for a vegan is beyond me. Even their veggie patty contains egg and milk. WHAT IS THAT???? WHYYYYYYYYY??? We were starving but had to get up and leave because I was stuck paying for expensive salads minus meat and cheese (yet still paying for the meat and cheese) because that was the only thing I could eat. I'm only giving 1 star because I can't give 0. There was a sign on the door when we walked in saying that wait times are longer than normal due to being short staffed, which is fine, I'm a patient person. However, I had been sitting 15+ minutes, without even being acknowledged. Our waitress had not even introduced herself yet. A couple behind us left, and within minutes someone else was sat there. Immediately after this group sat down, the waitress rushed over and started to take their order and completely ignored my party. I understand long wait times, but THAT is unacceptable. We went to chili's last night in WH for Memorial Day and my 30th birthday. We were there two hours to ultimately get kicked out. Let me say I have never in my life been kicked out of anywhere! Much less waited two hours with as many issues as we had to be talked down to by an incredibly rude manager named Austin. We got there and it took a while to even get a server which no biggie there was another big table next to us and we were a pretty decent size table ourself. Someone acknowledged us and said they'd be over so we were perfectly okay with that. Well as we start ordering our poor waitress who was phenomenal and in shock and super apologetic over the whole scenario was running back and forth several times as many of us had to order drinks three times before we found something they had in stock. So she is stuck running between the bar and us numerous times as she finds out each item one at a time versus them updating her at start of shift and giving her a list of items out of to make her life easier. So this became a joke between the waitress and us that we felt so bad for and who was scared it was making her look bad. We reasssured her we knew it wasn't her fault and she was doing great. So we asked to speak to a manager to say hey what's going on and that she was doing great but being ran to death due to them not informing her. At this point no one was upset. The manager comes out to the table and immediately has an attitude and doesn't let anyone speak. He starts sarcastically telling us the issues being very condescending. Meanwhile our waitress is standing there in such shock and feeling so uncomfortable. So we tell him we don't appreciate his attitude. One person from our table actually got up and walked out due to how confrontational and ugly he was being while many of us bit our tongue waiting on him to walk away so the situation would diffuse itself. So after this encounter we ask the waitress to get us a name and number for her gm so we can call about this encounter with the manager named Austin. The waitress has no clue he's her gm so she asks for gm info. Instead of telling her he's the gm or giving her the info etc. he storms back out. This time he is even more confrontational than the first. He is being very loud and rude and proceeds to tell us if we want to talk to a gm we can talk to him as he passes his card. He throws his hands up in a very confrontational way saying he's been in this industry 15 years and that he is in the middle of a rush but he can make time for us after. He also proceeds to tell us he is being sarcastic this time. So someone proceeds to tell him hey we have kids at this table so you don't need to come out being an ass. To which he then proceeds screaming get out. The entire restaurant was starting at our by this point. He hovers over us as we gather children and items and follows us out the door. Which I get you want to make sure we leave okay. But once everyone is out he still proceeds to stand there and run his mouth. At this point I honestly have no clue what he was even saying. I was still standing in there by the door so I could give our waitress cash as it's not her fault nor she should lose a tip from a party our size that has been there two hours. At that point I just looked at him and calmly responded with it's probably best if you walk away at this point to which he responded I understand and eventually walked away. We gave our server cash as soon as she came out and left. Our server again was very apologetic for his behavior and almost in tears. The worse part of this is no one was ever upset or ugly until he escalated it numerous times. Had he come out and said hey I heard y'all wanted to speak to a manager what's going on what can I help with it would've been a completely different scenario. We left before our food ever came out. Also let me add this rush he referred to there were 6 tables in the entire restaurant besides us. read more

The check-in ahead process is a joke. We called ahead to get a wait time, said it'd be 35-40 minutes, awesome. We arrived 30 minutes later and was told it'd be about 10 minutes. I'm writing this as we have been sitting here for an hour. Sure, we have a larger party (12), but literally half of the restaurant isn't being used. We frequent this location every few months, but this is going to be the final time. read more

While passing through Lake Wales last week we stopped for a quick dinner at this Chili's. When we arrived we were told we would have a 20 minute wait which we expected. We sat by the bar, ordered a few margaritas, told the host where to find us, and waited. After a half hour went by we went up to the host and asked about our table to be told that he had called our name and when we did not respond he gave away our table. We were only five feet away from him and told him where we would be. He asked that we wait a little longer and he will get us another table. We waited. Twenty minutes pass. Two people from our party left and we ask again. No table yet. Ten minutes later we sit at a booth and our server comes by and hands us bottomless chips and salsa from the host. Fine. We snack, order more margaritas and talk about nonsense. When she comes back shortly later we order our meals and then the staff starts breaking down the restaurant. We clearly have been there well into closing time... Twenty minutes go by and then thirty so we ask a bus boy walking by if he can check on our food. Our server was nowhere to be found. He comes back with a manager who we tell to cancel our order. At that point we had been there for almost three hours. We were done. He apologized, offered to buy our drinks, box up our food, and give it to us for free but we were done. I still do not understand why everything took so long. I never go to Chili's but there are not many options in LW. . So this was it. read more

I'm a server and this was hands down one of my top worst service experiences. We saw our server maybe 3 times the entire time and that is not an exaggeration. I asked for a water at the beginning that I never got. After our app came out she never checked to make sure it was okay (it wasn't, our fried pickles were soggy bread so we didn't eat them). When taking our order she never asked our temps for our burgers and surprise they came out like a medium rare when I would've preferred a medium well but how would she know. I had to ask her to take our order anyways cause she was just trying to run off. She never once checked on us. When she finally followed up on how the food came out long after it was when my plate was at the edge of the table because I no longer wanted it and we had already cashed out on the kiosk. I pay attention at restaurants and she wasn't busy or anything excusable she was simply lazy as all hell. I'm assuming her name was linnel because that's what the receipt said but who knows because she never told us or said more than 10 words to us our whole meal. This was our second or third shot at chili's and they've all been horrendous so we're not going back but simply posting this as fair warning to others and constructive criticism to management. Horrible service, i will never come to this restaurant ever again! Let me start by saying the place is pretty nasty and the people that work there too! I came to celebrate my daughter's bday at legoland and we came here after the park. The African American lady wouldn't let me talk and just would assume things. I told her it was my daughter's bday, she tells me ill come back she leaves and then comes with an ice cream no candle to sing happy birthday, she didn't let me tell her i wanted one of the chilli's dessert with a candle of-course. I recently stop by Chili's in Winter Garden on Daniels Rd after shopping at the mall. Ive learned to keep record the amount of drinks on my cell phone due to over charging. I was there for three hours and when I received my bill it was for 12 mixed drinks. I told the bartender I only had 8 drinks and showed her my record on my cell phone. She went and got the Manger Mrs Anderson. She informed me I had been there for four hours. I was only there three hours and I didn't have 12 drinks. She left and came back and said she removed two drinks. I paid my bill and I was overcharged for two drinks I never had. I didn't leave a tip and I wrote on credit card bill I was not there four hours. It's sad when you have to keep records for the amount of drinks you have had. I've been under charged for drinks before and have brought it their attention so the bill could be adjusted so I paid what I owed. This is a matter of principle to me. Chili's don't expect the consumer to be wise! SO BEWARE OF OVER BILLING! Cause it does exist for sure! I'm a retired Owner of several RV Dealerships and it's all about Principle! Besides I don't think I could of drove home after having 12 mixed drinks! After getting home I called Mrs Anderson and asked her why see said I was there for four hours. I asked her to check her receipts to determine what time I received my 1st drink. Then she finally admitted I was not there for four hours. And she already knew that without looking it up! Chili's is usually fairly consistent, good food. And the food at this Chili's was good. And our server, a young pregnant woman, took great care of us. The problem was, when we got there, no one was at the check-in station. We started to walk to a nearby table when one woman broke from a group who were standing and talking and came to ask for our names telling us it would be a 20-minute wait. We asked why, when no one was waiting and so many tables were open in every section. She said not enough waiters showed up. So we gave her our name and sat to wait. For the next 25 minutes, one or both of the other workers came up front to talk with this young lady - all three of them complaining about the short staff and negatively talking about the situation, how they didn't expect such a crowd since Mondays were typically slow, and on and on and on. We didn't need to hear all that. Plus, why couldn't one of them pitch in to make things move faster for the servers who were there? While the food and server were good, that first 25 minutes soured the visit. read more

Wow this location is amazing. From the staff , the food and the management wow just wow me and my family came in and immediately we were greeted and sat our server Monica went above and beyond for us we didn't even have to ask once for a refill we looked away came back and bam we had refills. The food came out soo fast and cooked to perfection. Only item we had a minor issues with was the chicken in the kids meal was too spicy for our daughter but Todd the manager came in immediately took care if it and gave us another option for our daughter. Todd and Monica are keepers for sure Todd's enthusiasm as a manager and Monica's amazing serving wow just wow if you have had chili's you need to try this location a total nite and day to any other chili's location I will definitely be back and still going to submit my review on chili's website how amazing this location is from one manager to another I told Todd the manager that this is one of the best location and experiences I have ever had read more

My wife and I took our daughter to Chili's last week, our first visit back in a while. We've had horrible experiences with Chili's at many locations, but the Winter Haven location has always been outstanding. This visit was right in line with the rest. Our server, Brittany, was excellent. She kept our drinks full, checked in often, but not enough to get annoying, while being great to our child. My wife typically gets the chicken tacos, and I tend to go with a burger usually, we kept that tradition alive on this trip. Once again, the food was prepared perfectly, as expected. We love this location and we'll be going back time and time again. While we've pretty much sworn off Chili's anywhere else, the Winter Haven restaurant is so well put together that we won't give up on the company as a whole. read more

I came in at 7:30 and sat In a booth by the bar. The start of the lightning game vs. Rangers game was just about to be starting. I ordered my food and the food took about 40 minutes to come however I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, well done. It was delicious. The only thing was I ordered extra cheese on my burger and that was not on my burger. The cook forgot. So the time and the little mix up also, the server was doing the best however the place was not cleaned. There was a table that just got cleaned 2 minutes ago and I came in originally at 7:30. Also, the booth I wanted to sit in was dirty. And a couple after me were seated there and that was at 8:40. And the table was still not cleaned. The laziness of the workers because it does not take long to clean a table because then it allows more customers to sit. But other than that. I give it a 3.75. Hopefully next time if I do want to come. My visit will be better. read more

OMG...., as the years go by I am amazed as to why this Chili's on Cypress Gardens is still open. I tried not to go into this Chili's for almost 2 years. I should have listen to my instinct and not gone there today. I decided to see if maybe the food was better than in the past, I ordered the Chicken Crisper to go. When I arrived home and open my food the fries were soaking in oil, I thought o.k. maybe the chicken is better it looked o.k., I took one bite and was not able to eat the chicken since it was not fully cooked and the breading on the chicken had oil squirting out of it. This was just disguising. I would not spend another dime on this Chili's location. read more

Party of 3, we came in and were sat in a very timely manner. Upon arrival we were chatting and looking at the menu when I realized it had been a long time and no server had come over. I watched a server bus a table in front of us so I could see he was busy and we waited patiently. A larger party sat down, a server came up and talked to them...still no server for us. Multiple servers walked right by us multiple times. I decided to set a timer, since it had already been at least 5 minutes. 5 min and 13 seconds on the timer, a server greeted us. She was friendly, her name was Carol. She got our drink order and appetizer and left. 10 minutes later she brought back the wrong drink for one guest and forgot a water for the other. Alcohol drink was corrected quickly, water was never received. Guest also ordered a Pepsi which was forgotten about, second time asking the Pepsi was finally brought. 30 minutes for the food to come out, which isnt a bad time considering there were burgers on the check. Server checked on us to make sure the food was good. The food was delicious and hot. We witnessed a table near us walk out after no one greeted them for a pretty long time, restaurant was not busy so I'm not sure why the servers couldn't manage to be at the tables at a timely manner. read more

We had a nice server, but outside of that, boy, I would not recommend this location ever. A few reasons - out of oranges for kids' meals, out of apple juice (we were told truck comes in tonight and that's why they are out of everything), I ordered soup and was told I got the last bowl, so that is why it is very thick - it was literally inedible... so unbelievably salty and texture obviously off (why serve this??). The server, in delivering it, was very nice in saying he'd be happy to bring another if I don't like it. But still... why would that even make it to a customer? My side salad had WAY too much dressing as well. Another item they were out of was paper towels in the bathroom. In not one, but both of the dispensers. Service was overall very slow, despite a nearly empty restaurant. C'mon, Chili's. This location needs your attention! read more

Chilis is a great place to have a girls nite out and even a family nite. It's affordable and the atmosphere is great for everyone.

After having two issues with Chili's restaurant in the past six months, I will never go back. 2 months to get frozen margarita machine fixed and even got coupons for margaritas thru loyal program and missed margarita week--left email/web site feed back, never heard a word from management or corporate. Last week, had cold food served twice with stale and old flour tortillas. complained, second set of enchiladas was not much warmer than the first and the tortillas were hard and crusty and tasted peculiar. Kerri the waitress was very patient, and if you dare go, she is awesome, but the manager who didn't bother to personally introduce himself, and was responsible for preparing the replacement came out for the second time. I had already waited 45 minutes to eat and my wife had already finished before the replacements came out. Even though the enchiladas were luke warm and tough, I still picked the meat and sauce out and mixed it with the rice and beans. I was not happy with cold food, so I took the left over taco my wife didn't eat and asked for box to go. Packed our food and told the waitress that I wasn't happy. The second visit from "manager' told me that if he comped my meal, I couldn't take the food home. Well the food ihe box was a combination of my wife and mine. So I paid for this crappy meal in full and left. Left message on web site and via phone to the 800 number. Four days later, haven't heard a word or email I guess they don't care. Second time corporate has ignored me with legitimate complaints. I guess they don't give a "S". Kerri the server is totally awesome and I feel bad she is in a place that doesn't care about the customers. There is no WIFI there and the table top kiosk rarely work. And there is no receipt number on your ticket. so when you try to send in a complaint it tells you that you can not submit with a ticket number. I recently visited the Chili's off of Cypress Gardens Blvd. My fiance' and I ordered our drinks with chips and salsa. The waitress brought out the chips, and my fiances' drink while I was waiting for my ultra draft. I didn't mind waiting because the bar might have been backed up. 5 minutes pass, and she finally brought it to me. The table who came in 5 minutes later then us got their drafts before me, so I knew it was not the bars fault, but nevertheless I didn't say anything. The waitress asked if we were ready to order, but we asked for a couple of minutes more. 10 minutes pass, and she finally came back around, and said I'll be right with you. At this point we began to get flustered. Another 5-10 minutes pass, and she comes, "I'll be right with you".5 minutes later Doesn't acknowledge that we were flustered, and says "okay, are we ready?" 30 minutes passed with nothing but disappointment. I asked for the check, and we left. I haven't been to chili's for quite some time due to this happening before, but I didn't say anything.
