I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta which I had really enjoyed before. This time it seemed changed and did not meet expectations. It was a smaller portion (full dinner price), and was basically mac and cheese with some chicken, sprinkled with Cajun seasoning. Me daughter who ordered the Chicken Quesadilla got full and shared a couple pieces with me or I would have left still hungry, My girl who ordered the salmon was very pleased with her entree. She commented that the broccoli was cooked well (most leave it too raw). We could not help but notice that both bathrooms were in need of attention. This is the worst Chili's I have ever been to. I keep giving them another chance and they keep disappointing me. Today will be my last time going there. We ordered the original chicken crispers and they were very hard and dry. The old timer burger was burnt and so thin. I felt like I was eating bread with lettuce and burnt styrofoam. We walked in. Immediately the hostess gave a dirty look. She looked like she was annoyed and didn't want to be there. Did not greet us or welcome us. Only said, "How many?!" She didn't say it nicely. I told her how many for our party, and she started to walk us to our table. It took me a second to realize that the place was crowded. When we got to our table, I would have been within 2-3 feet from the next patron. They were not alternating tables. It looked as if it was pre-Covid in there. I told my family to get right back up, and we left. I thought maybe I missed something. Maybe an ordinance was lifted. It was, but not to 100% capacity. Just visited this location, the food was good, but the to go person forgot to give me my dessert. By the time i arrived to my destination it was too late to go back. Chilis what can I say. If I go with a group of people they take a good time on bringing out the food. Doesn't take long. Always just perfect. I go alone and everything is brought out all at once. The pay at your table device is a pain to work with. Couldn't get the thing to read a gift card, Finally waitress had to take it to a cash register and read it there. The whole process took at least 10-12 min. to work through. I don't understand why I am expected to check myself out on a poorly programmed machine. It automatically programmed a 20% tip which I feel is totally wrong. I'll determine the amount of the tip based on the service I receive. Then to get a paper receipt you had to have the waitress print it at another device. Who came up this inane way to pay a bill? Also the music was so loud that you couldn't have a normal conversation at the table. We even asked for the quietest place in the restaurant. The choice of music was something I would never choose to listen to. It was like teenage head banging music. Is this the atmosphere Chili's wants to promote? Lastly, our table was dirty and sticky. I went to Chili's in Weslaco for lunch with my brother. We sat down and waiter for 15 minutes, and not a single waitstaff showed up to order our food. I went to the restroom and then I noticed three waitstaff members laughing and horse playing in the kitchen. When I told them that we had been waiting for at least 15-20 minutes, they just said that the bar was open and we were welcome to sit down. No apologies, just a negative attitude. I am very disappointed in this Chilis. The customer service provided by the lead staff was poor. My child's meal was burned and the fries were horrible. The lead server (or so I think she was a lead server) said the fries look like that because of the oil they use and nothing can be done (if this is the best quality of food you can provide, you all should be embarrassed and apologetic). Then the burger bites were visible burned and hard, she asked, "what do you want them medium rare?" Of course not I just wanted better quality food like at the other Chilis. Never again. I have eaten at several Chili's and this location is by far sub par. The service was extremely slow. We did not all get put food as the same time. By the time we were finished four of us were finished, the fifth person was barely getting their meal. Sitting at the table must have been awkward being the only person eating. I know it was awkward for us to see that person eat. When you go out to eat as a family you expect everyone to be served at the same time or relatively at the same time but this was unacceptable. We had to go and ask for silverware and I had to choke down my meal because I never received a refill on my drink. After we ALL finished our meal and were set to pay, we asked about the veteran discount. To our surprise we were informed that they did not offer a discount for veterans. This was the first Chili's location in the state of Texas that does not acknowledge veterans. My father-in-law and I are Marine veterans and we can say without hesitation that we will not be eating at this location again. read more
