    Old timer burger
    Lesley M.

We stopped here on our way home to grab a snack. Our youngest went with the burger special that included the old-timer burger, fries, order of salsa, and a drink for $10 I believe. We also went with the dip trio and chose queso, salsa, guacamole. Our server was hit or miss when it came to ordering, and we had to speak quickly in order to keep her at our table. She seemed very distracted by other tables, or she might've been having to do assist with the bar and that made her busy as well. Overall, everything tasted great.

Service was very good, waitress was super sweet. Food was very good & served hot. Burger was very juicy. Just before 2pm it was quite and music was nice so we enjoyed our lunch

Chopped onion piled in one spot, where it's supposed to be sliced.

We ordered the Just Bacon Burgers. Takeout. They tasted fine. But what we received in no way looked like the picture on the menu. I know the food in the menu pics always look better than what is delivered. However I expect the to be assembled in the same manner. Pictured was a burger patty with cheese and bacon strips sitting on a stack of pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and sliced onion. What we received was a pinch of bacon crumbles (the mass of which was less than a strip) and pinch of chopped onion. They obviously used the ingredients that is supposed to be used on the salads and other side dishes. It's been a long while since we ordered from them due to issues like this. The wait staff are great. And at least they weren't pink on the inside this time.

First of all, I love the way y'all slice your orange garnishes. Perfect for squeezing into my beer. Second, my server/bartender Melody was so kind. I watched her work her tail off running around serving not only the bar, but all the tables on that side of the restaurant. She handled it gracefully, and I noticed other servers offering her a hand, but I couldn't help but feel like she could have used more support. Perhaps another server in that section on Wednesday evenings? Of course, ask melody what she thinks, cause I don't want her losing out on her tips. Great chips and salsa.

Thanks for the undercooked big mouth burger bites!!!

I never should have listened to those who are not fans. My husband got 4 twisteds--2 chicken and one of each of the other flavors. They were all so good. And the fresh fried chips were delicious too. I got the fried swai. My husband is not a fan of fish but he kept stealing bites off my plate, it was that good. The batter was light and crisp. And the portion was huge. I LOVED the honey mustard coleslaw. I'm a slaw snob, and I have high standards. I look forward to eating the slaw again. The garlic Parmesan broccoli was good too. We will be back.

All their food is named after musicians. I had the Hank Williams hamburger, with spicy bacon jam, Cheddar cheese, and a couple of fried onion. The burger was delicious, the bacon jam not overly spicy for me but worked well. Great burger. Came with seasoned fries, also quite good. They brew some of their own beer, which both my friends and I thought they still had a little ways to go to perfect that. I had their Irish Stout which wasn't bad. A little more bitter than Guinness but ok. Definitely great food for a bar, and their craft beer will get there soon. Parking is around back.

We were traveling home back in June of 2021 and this place was a surprising find!! St Joseph, MO…read morewas a dreary looking city. There were parts that looked on the sketchy side. The roads could use some serious work, but in the midst of the somewhat sleepy downtown area, we encountered Fredrick Inn. We noted several positive reviews in Yelp, but with the rundown look of the parking lot and the city in general, we might have passed on it. Glad we didn't!! We sat down fast and got our drinks in no time! Menu is chock-full of delicious options, but we spotted prime rib and decided on it right away! Not only did we get the best darn prime rib we've had in long time, but also we got unlimited soup and salad bar! The meat was cooked perfectly and delicious! Everything about our meal couldn't be better! They only do prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, and it looked to me as if this is a big draw for Frederick Inn. The service was stellar and the place had a bit of an old world feel on the inside. They had craft beers and a full bar. Plus, I hear they are famous for their strawberry pie. I'm pretty glad we stopped there. Definitely added Frederick Inn on my bookmarks of great little restaurants so that if we come this way again, we'll be sure to stop by!!

By the time the waitress brought the hot sauce and my wine, my Chicken livers were half eaten and the remaining food was cold. My Husband wanted a piece of the raisin pie. The server said she would save him a piece and when it came time for dessert she said someone took the note off the piece of pie and served it anyway. All that was offered was an "I'm sorry" from the waitress. She said she would come back and see if we wanted anything else- 20 minutes she came back. No manager came back to apologize for the mistake, no offer was made to try and makeup for the error of the staff. The food was good but we can get prime rib at other local steakhouses less than we paid for the ribeye. The specials don't have prices listed and it's our fault for not asking, but they are significantly higher than the menu items. We saw out waitress maybe 4 times total our whole meal, while the other waitresses were actively chatting with their tables... the cost of the food would have been worth it if the service would have even been mediocre... I give the food 4/5 and the service 1/5... definitely will not be back because there even the apology offered by the server was offered with a shrug of her shoulders taking any sincerity she had off the table. This is a shame because the place came highly recommended by my co-workers

Luckily, that is where the JC Wyatt House comes in. Not only is the food top rate, but the entire experience is amazing. At the JC Wyatt House, you have dinner in an intimate, small dining room inside a Victorian Mansion. Here is how it works. They are only open on Thursday and Friday, 1130am to 1230pm, for lunch and Wednesday thru Saturday, 530pm to 7pm for dinner. Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.
