This place isnt what it used to be. I was in town for Christmas and I took my mom for a quick bite. Chili's is the only sit down restaurant by the outlets so that's why we went . There was a couple waiting to be seated before us - we waited a good 10 minutes before the host ever showed up. When he did, he strolled up with no sense of urgency and give the people before us their menu and pointed to where they could go sit themselves down. He motioned for us to go to a different part of the restaurant and shook my head. When we got to the table he said, " Is there something wrong?". I responded with, " yeah, the lack of urgency on your end". He proceeds to tell me the protocol for sitting people . He starts to raise his voice and I let him know that i get it, i understand how it works and he cuts me off and says, " no you don't, no you don't" turning this into an argument. I asked to speak to a manager and he said, " she's just going to tell you the same thing." This clown didnt know his left from his right. After my mom and I finished our lunch, we walked to our car. He followed us to see what car we got in and then kept staring at us through the window until we left. No wonder wny nobody is ever at the host's station. I'm not sure how my being annoyed with their low grade customer service turned into a "him" issue. I wasnt expecting a 5 star experience at a 1 star establishment but com'on. My suggestion - go to mom and pop shops - food and service are usually better. read more

Chili's has great deals, I'll give them that. You can get all of this (plus a chicken enchilada soup) for $11.99. But the quality is not so great. I tried the Half iced tea half lemonade with a either strawberry or raspberry flavoring, and I really should have done without the flavoring. Maybe should have done with an entirely different drink. The taste of mine was very diluted. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta. I usually love ordering this from Chili's because it's a great portion size. It was still a great size, and the pasta itself was okay, but the chicken itself was not. It had a bad taste to it, this is definitely not chicken they prepared themselves. I was so looking forward to eating at Chili's. On our way home from Harlingen my husband and I stopped at this location. I wish I had checked the reviews before ordering because I would've picked a Chili's that wasn't rated so low. My meal may have looked appetizing, but it wasn't. The best way I can describe the chicken was that it was slimy. I couldn't even finish the potatoes or the black beans. Everything seemed off on my plate. I will say that the chips and salsa were great. My strawberry lemonade was also good. I'm just bummed my entree was a fail. My husband had no complaints. He got the boneless wings. I had no issues with service. I didn't even want to complain. If anything I took it as a sign from God that I shouldn't be eating unhealthy anymore lol. read more

Staff was very helpful, attentive and friendly. But the kitchen needs to pay attention to orders. One dish was sent back to be remade the way we ordered it. Burgers were sloppily made and had way too much mustard. Bathroom need some attention and was out of paper towels. We probably will think twice about choosing this Chili's. read more

Wow!! I'm overly impressed with my visit at this Chili's location on a Valentine's Day. Plan was to visit the outlets for shopping but wifey was hungry so chili's was the option. Wasn't very busy at all. Seated and server took our order and within 10min if not less all of our food came piping hot I might add. Never had service and food this fast down in the McAllen and surrounding area. And cuz of that food tasted much better. Fajitas on the skillet definitely precooked but hey I'm not expecting it to be freshly made but still was delicious. Mexican chicken bowl filling and great. We went to eat with another couple at about 5. They were not busy. There were at least 8 dirty tables. Our server was very friendly. We ordered our food. The other couple ordered drinks from the bar. It took a while for our server to pick them up and bring them to the table. They were made and just sitting at the bar we could see them over there. We ordered and waited. And waited. Finally they got their food, our server said ours would be out in a few minutes. Our friends were done with their meal and we still did not have our food. We asked to speak to a manager. First our server came back out. Then another server came out. Finally; the store manager came out wanted to know what the problem was. We explained that we came to have dinner with our friends and they were done and we still did not have our food. He went to the kitchen and shortly there after our food was delivered. Which tasted excellent! No one seemed to understand why we were so upset. He said they were training people. They did take our 2 meals off of the check. I spoke with a higher up who had the situation escalated. She explained to me how it was nearly impossible to have gotten food poisoning from their establishment. To make matters worse she used the excuse that "too much time has passed" and she wouldn't be able to find out anything since it was so many days ago and there's different people now, etc. F'n BS!!!! They had ME WAITING. So if you get food poisoning here, you have TWO options, either do nothing or constantly BE ON THEY ASS-ETS about it. Otherwise you will end up with a $1,000+ hospital visit and no way to pay it. Oh, and they got me sick a few days before this COVID-19. Which means they got me so damn sick my immunization was weakened!!! Risking me to easily catch the virus, I explained that to her. She didn't care. It's all about money to them, they don't care that this was my ONE place I would go to eat since I work at the outlets. They don't care I take my family here EVERY WEEK. So they DID NOT compensate me, not even a refund on the bill. I would say don't go here, but it's up to you where you want to risk your health and spend your money for a $1,000 trip to the hospital. I had x2 orders of the 3for$10. Bacon burger and potato soup with fries. AVOID IT. FU Chili's, You were literally my best restaurant. But I'm glad you served me some truth about how much you all do care. I'll never go back to this place that's a f'n promise. Worst service from any of the Chili's I have visited, host was annoyed when I walked in and asked for a booth, waiter took forever to come over, took drink order and came back quite later to see if we were ready, and still no drinks. The busboy comes over and just slide the plates on our table without saying anything and walks away. Food was warm, not hot at all. Went to Chili's where the first bartender was awesome, but we stayed so long that another bartender (charlyn....supposedly) comes in. We had been paying cash but the last few I decided to put on my debit card. After seeing the ticket for about 21 bucks the bartender takes my card and says I'll be right back and goes to the kitchen. I've never had someone do that, so I told my brother something isn't right about this. Then she comes back with my original ticket but merchants copy was 39 bucks. I asked for the manager who said it was her mistake but my card had already been charged. Gotta wait a couple days for the difference to be put back but that girl never came to apologize. Maybe management doesn't know her scam but all my beers were from tap which is easy to not charge. I got charged for the couples meal sitting next to me. just now Food was good. My negative review pertains to a weird situation that happened last night. A pair of 4 individuals were sitting next to my sister & I. After a weird confusion the first time with one of the gentlemen sitting next to us, which we just brushed off. He proceeded to knocked on the glass to show me his phone. He was taking a video of me. I covered my face with my arm. This was just plain odd, not sure what he was trying to do, but I did not appreciate it. After a few moments after that we thought the pair of 4 left, but turns out they were employees on their break. We did not know this person at all. The hostess did ask my sister if we were ok several times, which we appreciated. Again, not sure why he was taking a video of me, which is unprofessional to say the least. read more

Went in on a Saturday at 11:30 with my mom & sister. We had the place to ourselves aside from 2-3 other small parties. Received our food right away & placed a to go order for our father which we revived just as we were finishing our lunches which was nice. Strawberry lemonade was a little warm, you could tell ice had just been added but not too big a deal. Ordered the guac & chips as part of the 2 for $20. Guac is good, comes with salsa as well. Chips were crispy but for a few which were fairly oily & salty. Entree was the honey Chipotle chicken crisper with corn on the cob & fries. Crispers had the honey Chipotle sauce poured over them on the plate. Fries were seasoned nicely & corn was good also. There was no hostess when we walked in. Then after a few minutes what seemed to be the manager came to ask us how many. I responded saying 4 with a high chair. We had taken our son down in the stroller because he was falling asleep. He asked if we were leaving the stroller because there was no space for it. I let him know why we had him in the stroller and he said we could leave it around the corner from our booth. What parent would leave their baby unattended at a public place??? I said we'll just go somewhere else and we left. He didn't even apologize. We've had to take our kids down in their stroller before at other locations and they've always accommodated. Who hasn't been to dine at a Chili's restaurant? You can't avoid one!! And sometimes they are pretty darn comfortable and food isn't bad...... Unless you and your family would prefer to get ignored and belittled and patronized at the Chili's in Weslaco. Just save yourself the bad karmic vibes and avoid coming here to endure a great heaping of neglect. You could wait for close to an hour for a table on a late Sunday night as the restaurant tables sit empty and lied to repeatedly by the manager as to why your family cannot occupy those empty seats. Customer service is just not a priority here. You could watch those empty tables as they sit barren while others eat heartily only to be told your family cannot sit there "for your best comfortable experience"......whatever the hell that means.? We left after waiting patiently in the hopes that the manager (lady) would have some sensibilities kick in and realize that making a group of tired travel weary hungry family members did not need to have their late night meal ruined because she didn't want to open up a couple tables........God forbid they actually have to work before closing time. I truly cannot believe that a human being would lie so blatantly to justify a lack of professional customer service which is exactly the line of work they are supposed to do. I walked out of this place in December after telling off the manager and staff after having received THE WORST SERVICE OF MY LIFE! I swore to never go back, and I haven't. My daughter and I waited AN HOUR AND A HALF for an appetizer, water and a kid's meal - we never got any of the above! We saw a party of 10 (yes, I had plenty of time to count) come and go. This is your typical Chili's and there is no reason to comment on the food. I've eaten here many times for lunch and everything would warrant a good comment for their lunch service. The last couple of visits have been during Dinner. Their dinner service has been atrocious. I've had to wait almost 10 mins each time to be serve, every time I arrive they try to stick me by the kitchen and then when I do order they take another 10 mins to get the drink. Place seriously needs help in the evening. Go to The Blue Onion on FM 1015 foods better and so is the service. read more

Not a good experience from the moment we walked in. God forbid the hostess do her job and actually seat us, instead we sat ourselves bc she clearly couldn't be bothered to do what she gets paid to do. She preferred to return to the table that other coworkers were sitting at. The music in the restaurant was deafening. We asked for it to be turned down bc we could barely hear each other talk. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant so for the music to be that loud was uncalled for. The manager BARELY turned it down and then turned it back up when the next song started. We left there with our ears ringing as if we had just been to a rock concert. My fiancé ordered a regular bacon burger and asked for avocado slices. Big surprise when he got his order and there weren't any avocado slices. The waiter/ bartender acted like it was our fault bc we didn't tell him as soon as we got our order. Kind of hard to do when you don't check on your tables like you should. Not to mention all the nats flying around all the tables. So gross! So I went with my husband to celebrate some good news and let me just say the staff turned our good mood into a horrible one. First we called ahead and our table wasn't ready. Next waiter comes up to us with a whatever kind of attitude no kindness whatsoever. Appetizers are brought out to us with no plates and when I asked another waiter for plates he rolled his head as if it was an inconvenience to him. When we asked for a refill of our salsa and chips all she brought was salsa and no chips. Really? Then the chips she brought later were so stale you could literally bend them as they were tacos. When I finally had enough I spoke with the manager and she told me sorry and comp half of our bill. As we were waiting for our bill the waiter brought it and rudely slammed the pen down and turned and walked away. Bad service. Ok food. Ok accommodations. Really expected more from this franchise. My personal experience at Chili's has always, time after time, been very a great one. The service is prompt and if ever something is not of your liking then just say the word and they please you. I love the tortilla soup, I have it time after time and the new spicy cole slaw salad is fabulous. Drinks, especially on a night out to unwind, are especially more enjoyable at Chili's due to the inviting and warm atmosphere in there. Therefore, Please don't hesitate for a moment and next time you are hungry and on the lookout for a dining out fine experience, then Chili's is the place to go. read more

This is the Chili's we go too when we are out and about. We went one week ago and the service was okay. The restaurant was full to the max. Since I got Margaritas this time, the waitor did take some time to serve them to us. Our meal came in a reasonable time. We did wait on dessert for a little while, but I can understand, the place was jammed with people!! The server did take care of us =] All I can say is that I love the food!! read more
