Party of six.
Such a shame I have to leave this review, but the amount of things that could go wrong did go wrong on our first visit
The host and server of the night were very helpful and kind. That's the one star. Thank you ladies. Our server (I think her name was Fabiola) was very attentive and very patient with listening to our orders and our needs. She was the highlight of our night.
The kitchen needs MASSIVE work. Either an extensive training course or hire new line cooks because our food was either over cooked or under cooked.
My medium rare New York strip came out Blue Rare. They took the steak back to fire it up some more and came back rare. I just bit the bullet and ate my steak because I'm not sending food back twice. My step mother's wings were under cooked and pale. She sent them back and manager returned with wings that looked identical to the first set. I'm not sure if they actually fired them back up or just put them in the microwave to make them hot but that almost seemed intentional at that point. She left without eating.
I'm not sure if you have an expo station where you have employees who check the food before running them out to the tables, but if your establishment does, they need major work. All our food sat at expo and became cold. A party of four sat in a booth across from our table and by the time our food came, they got their check to leave.
The table behind us complained about their entrees being cold. That should've been our warning to dine somewhere else. Lesson learned.
On that note. We ordered our entrees. My father's whole entree (ribs, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato fries) was stone cold.
My steak was not only undercooked but it was cold to the touch. I ordered rice and black beans and received pink beans. They switched my beans which isn't much to brag about but it was accomplished.
My husbands fajitas came out and his steak was like jerky. Medium well was ordered and he received a Hard well done. He didn't want to complain so he ate his dish. His side fries were pale and soggy. Those immediately went back.
The only thing they got right was my son's chicken tenders and fries.
What an exasperating trip. We came out to dine somewhere we can connect after not being in the same room for almost 15 years. Yall have got to do better. Then you had some petite man who I assume was the manager come speak to us very loudly as if he was trying to just silence the table from our issue. My father handled that problem though ;)
Have a hard talk with your crew. Bare minimum shouldn't be the goal. When entrees are ready to be run to their tables, RUN THEM. We stood up and looked at the station and it was filled with plates ready for consumers to eat but just sat there slowly dying. That's so sad. Call LongHorn and take some notes. read more
