I've been going to this Chili's for at least 15 years. I had three active boys in years in the late 90s-early 2000s. They are all Folsom teenagers and still love this place to bits. We were visiting the folsom area, and decided to check out the Folsom chilis, and we were pleasantly surprised, we were seated immediately, the waitress was very polite, and when we ordered the food, the appetizer the crispy asparagus was very tasty, and we ordered burgers and the other person in our party ordered a steak and all of it was cooked to our desired range, not over cooked. This chilis is much better then the one in our hometown. Would go again when in the area. read more

Just went in this evening after a few years of being away and let me tell you this place has fallen from grace. I used to love coming here. The service used to be on point the management team was always around and making sure that everything was amazing. Didn't see a single manger, service was so lacking I had to get up and go to the kitchen to find my server. Food was cold and dry I do not recommend this to anyone. 1st time here, ordered the Original Baby Back Ribs, 8oz Steak&Brocolli, Nachos and Cheese Fries, they were all great food... wish we knew our orders came with fries or else we wouldn't have ordered cheese fries. The waitress was nice, but we were a bit upset that we waited 30 min for our food and people that arrived 10 min before our food arrived were all served before us. Although she apologized that our food was on the way, we didn't order anything special that our neighbors didn't order. The stars were for a quick checkout at the table, good food although it was late and the tablet at the table that kept us occupied with trivia games. We always have enjoyed eating at Chili's. That is until we went to the one on Iron Point in Folsom CA. After placing our order we waited a very looooong time to be served. The salad was very wilted. Next we waited another long spell and were finally served what is laughingly referred to as Chili. It consisted of a reddish colored bowl of glue. 0 stars! On Sunday my boyfriend and I went into this Chili's on the to go order side. When we walked in a waistress/host walked by, didn't greet us. Two minutes later two other female workers walked past and said nothing. As the first woman walked past yet again without greeting us my boyfriend spoke up and asked if we could place a to go order at the window at which point she snapped back "yeah someone will be with you in a minute, if you just wait." About a moment or two later we could hear two women in the back kitchen discussing who would have to "go do it." Presumably a discussion about which of them would have to come out and greet us, give us a menu, and take our order. After ten minutes of not receiving so much as a "hello we'll be with you in a moment," we walked out. No it was not busy, and even if it had been, that could've been articulated to us (PAYING CUSTOMERS). I'm not sure why I was treated this way, but based on the location, and demographic of the employees and customers that were being catered to, I can assume why. read more

Location is great, prices are good, food is good, service is consistently horrible. I am not a fan of them having more than one server responsible for each table. Twice now they completely forgot to bring the appetizer. Yesterday we were seated for 15+ minutes before drinks were served (although they did offer us someone else's drink order). After a few minutes I asked to have it cleaned... and waited and waited. We sat for 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging us so we asked the hostess if there was anyone working in that area. I have to award Chili's as new the "worst restaurant" in Folsom. I know that Ruby Tuesday's will be disappointed that they are now the 2nd worst restaurant in Folsom. I had a bowl of Chili and a salad for lunch today......and I have to say, I was a victim of abuse and robbery. Abuse for the insult to my taste buds and robbery for having to pay for this awful dining experience. The chili had no chili beans (or any other kind of beans) in it and there was maybe three or four very small pieces of what I think must have been meat. It was like a cold bowl of chili soup. The salad was not much better. The salad had spent way too long in the walk-in refrigerator, as it had no flavor and even a good helping of Ranch dressing could not bring it back to life. The chips and salsa were decent...especially the salsa. Obviously, it was purchased from a store and not made on-site.....The server was courteous and effective. However, there is no way I am ever going back to this so-called restaurant. They bungled the most simplest of meals...WOW!!!! With some many other choices for lunch in Folsom, I would defintely skip going to Chili's.... read more

Just had a really bad experience which is really upsetting since I used to enjoy this restaurant a lot. My shrimp tacos were not spicy at all, the tortilla was stale and hard to bite into and my husbands chicken was over cooked. The customer service was ok until we wanted to pay. We sat at the table waiting for a check and after 20 minutes, I flagged down our waiter who informed us that we needed to use the computer at the table. When I told him I didn't want to use the computer, he developed an attitude and said he'd take our money but Chilis had paid a lot for their computers which is why they wanted us to use them. I'll never return to this Chilis and may never eat at another Chilis period. read more

Me and my fiancé came here for dinner a few months ago. We like to go out and have a nice meal with each other. We ordered our food and talked and drank our waters. I personally always use straws but he didn't. We got our food and it wasn't the best but we ate it anyway. It took a while to get refills and get our check. Finally the guy came and gave us the bill and I gave him money so he took it to get me some change. As I'm waiting I noticed there was something on my fiancé cup I grabbed it to take a better look and it was lip stick. I went to touch it and it was fresh.... It came right off. This means that they had given us cups that they didn't even wash. I told the waiter and he simply told me that they have had trouble with there dish washer. Even if they did have trouble that would come off with water I was so disgusted that I didn't want anything free he had to offer us I told him we will never come back. read more

This is my first ever review... Excuse me if there are any grammar mistakes and such. If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. I went to eat here on 10/9/14 at 5:20pm with my Mom. We were planning to eat then see a movie in the same center at 7pm. We sat in the bar and it was pretty quiet when we got there. Our waitress was blonde, we ordered our food about 10 minutes after arriving. I ordered the Guacamole Burger w/ a Black Bean Vegi Patty ( I am a vegetarian) sub sweet potato fries and my Mom ordered a drink and sliders with onion rings. We sat there for about 20 minutes playing games on the little tablet on the table. We then realized that not one person had approached us since. We then noticed that it had gotten busier and our waitress had become the bartender. We decided to wait another 10 minutes before saying anything about the delay in getting our food. 10 minutes went by and it was nearly impossible to ask anyone anything. We finally asked the one waiter in the bar area if he could find out where our food is. Another 10 minutes goes by and the Manager came out, unfortunately did not get his name but he was of medium height and had brown hair. He said our food was up there and had been under the food lamps for about 20 minutes. He then went back and brought my food out and actually said "I brought your Vegi Burger out because it looks okay right? Good enough? The sliders weren't good anymore so we are remaking them but here are the onion rings." He then walked away. I then took a bite out of the burger and it was completely burnt to a crisp and the bun was super stale (I took a picture) We waited another 10 minutes before we could ask anyone to bring the manager back out. He came out and I told him about what was wrong and he said they would remake it. I also told him on the menu it says I would receive their new garlic pickles with my order. He said I was wrong and that my burger didn't come with them. I then showed him the menu where it states that and he acted as though he was doing me a favor for "adding the pickles for free." Then another 20 minutes went by with nothing. Seeing everyone around me get their food and me waiting. Mind you by this time it was over an hour since we got to the restaurant and I hadn't been able to eat anything. I then saw the manager bringing some people food in the dining area through the window. My mom got up to ask him where my food was and he told her "Actually the kitchen is moving quickly considering." She then came back and our blonde waitress finally comes up she says "Sorry about the mix up, I tried to get you a new waiter when I became the new bartender but I guess nobody showed up." My mom then said, "We have been waiting 25 minutes for her new food, this is getting ridiculous." She then argued and raised her voice saying "No there is no way it has been 25 minutes you are wrong." I then mentioned my empty water cup that had been sitting at the edge of the table for over 30 minutes. She rolls her eyes and comes back with a new water saying nothing. The manager finally comes back with my food in a to go box because my mom had requested that when speaking to him because it was now 6:40 and the movie started at 7. My mom tells him how horrible everything has been. I then show him the picture of my completely burnt black bean burger and he goes into excuse mode telling me that's how it always looks. Then we finally loose our patience because not once have any of these people actually apologized. He then finally starts to apologize and finally offers to take my burger off the bill. I then open the box to check if everything is correct.... there are no garlic pickles... I open the foil of the burger and it's a... TURKEY BURGER!!!!! I honestly could not believe my eyes. Defeated I look him in the eyes and tell him, "We are leaving right now and aren't paying for anything." He agreed and so upset and almost in tears I stormed out. He apparently apologized profusely to my mom but it was too little too late. I was in the restaurant for an hour and 20 minutes and ate nothing. Worst restaurant experience of my life. NEVER go here! My family stopped going to this place about 3 years ago. Probably would have given 2 stars. The food quality was pretty bad and the service was very subpar. Last week we decided to give it another try. They must have changed their business model. The food was much better and the service was great. We were lucky enough to stumble in on Sunday and it was happy hour all day! The drinks were a little watered down, as you would expect in happy hour. But the food was really tasty and fresh. All in all not bad at all and the price was right. Recommend giving these guys another shot if you have not been there in a while. read more

yes, 5 stars! to be fair, I watched game 6 warriors @ okc so of course I'd be happy to eat anywhere after a golden state win. they let me bring my 1 year old into the bar and kept my strawberry lemonade full during the entire game. their $20 for an app and 2 entrees is pretty good. just add some $2 sides like broccoli or Mac n cheese and you got some pretty good grub for not to much money. Def worth it to watch the game, keep your cups full, and get some reasonably priced grub read more

I have never been to this Chili's before, had just got done with some shopping at the outlets; was starving and went it for dinner with a friend of mine. We were seated quickly,and our drinks got to us fairly quick. We had ordered the onion rings and chips and salsa to start. The onion ring batter was so salty we both could not eat very many of them. Leaving almost the entire basket. The salsa was good but the chips looked and tasted like somebody unscrewed the salt top on the shaker, was covered with salt and we both couldn't eat much of those either. It was not very busy but took a long time for us to get our food, when it did come I was not ecstatic. We both had gotten the pasta, one with was shrimp and the other chicken. One there was no tomatoes on either, to they forgot both of our garlic bread, thirdly her chicken was charred and blacked to the point where it wasn't acceptable, and my shrimp had been so overly salted i only ate two. The Alfredo sauce was mediocre at best tasted as if it had been canned and warmed up. To top it off the waiter checked in with us maybe once. I explained that the my pasta was heavily over salted and was not very good and he did manage to have it removed from the bill which was appropriate. Over all one of my worst dining experiences I have ever had will not be returning. read more

We come here every 6 weeks or so. Service is good. However, had the "smoked" wings tonight. Maybe they are smoked for a bit, but mostly they appeared to be steamed. the skin was plumped up and thick. Upon walking in I greeted the "hostess" who in return turned her back and continued her conversation with her friend... while my family waited to be seated!!!! I took my mom here for lunch and it was the worst Chilis experience we have ever had. We didn't get water refills, my buffalo chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry, and my mom had to send her flatbread back because it came out burnt. The waitress said yikes when we pointed it out and the manager came out and said sorry. Then, he brought out a new one and said "this one isn't a 100%" and kind of laughed. What?! That is just unacceptable! He knocked off half of the price; I would have given more stars if he had taken it off completely. Not professional and we won't return most likely. read more

Service was wonderful. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was awful. Very possibly the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. We ordered a loaded french fry appetizer, which was really good. For our main dishes, my husband and I ordered a bowl of baked potato soup and a ribeye steak dinner to share. I will say that this was about 30 minutes before closing time, but still no excuse for the quality of food we were served. The waitress returned shortly and said they were going to pull the soup, so would it be okay to bring it first. That should have been a warning, but we agreed. The soup was very bad. Not even reminiscent of a good baked potato soup. The color was actually orange tinted and it tasted very much like the soup was actually made from a canned nacho cheese sauce. We couldn't finish it. When the steak arrived, it was way overdone. We ordered medium rare and received well done. The ironic part is that they actually have photos in their menu that show the various colors of doneness. We rarely complain or send anything back, but did so this time. The second steak we were brought, was actually worse, plus it was a terrible cut not truly even resembling a rib cut. Neither steak had any seasoning and both were grey in color. I can only assume that they had turned the grill off early because there was no sear, but the inside was well done. We ended up taking our meal to go as it was obvious they wanted to close, even though it wasn't quite closing time yet. At home we attempted to season the steak, even using steak sauce as a last resort, but it was honestly the worst steak I have ever had, and after two attempts I ended up throwing them away. Bottom line, I would recommend you think twice about eating here, and would completely avoid if it is even close to closing time. read more

I purchased 2 rib eye steaks to go today and was very disappointed in the quality of the meat. The steak was cooked properly but was very thin and fatty. Think steak and eggs in Reno at an off street casino and you will begin to understand what the steak looked like. This was one of the most expensive items on the menu and I expected better. My dog had more of the steak than I did (she likes fat and grizzle). When you spend this kind of money ($40 for 2 steaks) you expect a nice quality steak not what they serve. read more

The service on the other hand was less than impressive, between waiting over 10 minutes for our chips and salsa, staring at our food until we finally got silverware, or even being told "we'll be with you in a second" by three different people when it wasn't even busy, then continuing to wait another 10 minutes or so just to have someone take our drink order. After the server brought our food he had blankly looked at us and asked if we had wanted the mash potatoes that came with the steak, because it's not like we paid for them or anything, right? Half of the tables were dirty and remained that way up until shortly before we were finished with our food, and there was a table of employees chatting that looked to be on break, but the servers that WERE working kept stopping at the table and chatting with them as well. He walked past us several times without saying a word. The rest of the restaurant had very few patrons at this time. Long story short, worst service I've experienced in a long, long time. Go to Chilis a lot, but first time at this location. The service started out ok, but deteriorated quickly. Once the waitress delivered the food, she was gone. She was asked to provide some honey mustard sauce, but we never saw her again. After about 10 minutes, we were finally able to find another waitress to ask for it. When we were ready to leave, we had to find someone to ask for boxes for the leftover food. Never did see any manager. The food was good though.
