This Chili's has a lot, and I mean, a lot of seating. It was packed for a Sunday afternoon, but we were sat quickly. Our waters were promptly refilled and our waitress was really nice. The food was great, and the triple dipper deal is seriously worth all the hype. Our table was clean and the establishment overall appeared clean and the crowd was managed well. There's good lighting from outdoors which is nice. This may have been because they were busy, but my friend did get bacon on her burger when we asked not to have any as part of our dietary restrictions. Nonetheless, I won't fault the establishment as they could have been busy or they may have misheard her for that. We had a decent time at this Chili's overall. read more

Fell for the Email Marketing - Total Letdown (1/5 Stars) I received a promotional email from Chili's at 1:43 PM showing off a thick, premium "Big Crispy" chicken sandwich for the $10.99 3 For Me deal. It looked so good that my daughter and I went to the Miller Rd. location specifically for dinner tonight.We both ordered the sandwich and both plates were an absolute joke compared to the advertisement. The chicken was tiny, shriveled, over-fried, and looked incredibly unappealing--nothing close to the hand-battered quality they are promising. We went to chilis after leaving the bank (to pull out money for the cremation) and her wallet was stolen off the table with 5K in it. We were immediately seated upon walking in even though it was lunch time. Are server gave us his undivided attention and was super friendly the entire time. I love the free chips and the burger deals can't be beat the burger had a nice crispy edge on it which I loved. There's plenty of parking and everything was super clean I even use the bathroom and it was clean. We got three burgers and fries plus chips plus three drinks and it was 40 bucks. Good deal. There was 9 of us there to celebrate my birthday. And Chili's was the wrong decision. They brought out our food cold, not room temp but cold! The waitress never came back to do any refills, it was time to go so they gave everyone a cup to go. They brought my same plate back out, when it was time to go after asking about it 3 times! It was just a mess! I didn't get a chance to eat! Then they brought out a scoop of icecream with a tiny cake to take home. Bad experience for a birthday! We went a time before this for my nephews B-day and had the exact same thing happen, everyone had cold food! They apologized and gave us a military discount and a senior discount! Which is the only reason I went for my B-Day, to use my comp money from cold food last time, bcz I didn't want anything else so I didn't eat, lost my appetite. Then it happen again for my birthday! I still tipped her almost $7 bcz I had to spend the whole amount at once. Now that I think about it I should have just gotten something else to go bcz we barely seen our waitress at all. She popped up when it was time to go, to bring out to go containers and bags. I read some of the good reviews and wonder why can't I get lucky! This is the 3rd bad experience with Chili's and family! The Coke thar was brought out had no coke in it. The French fries had no bacon and I asked for no jalapeños and they were on it. We decided to just leave until Misty the front manager came over. She was very professional to us she made the French fries over got me my coke and we decided to stay and have our surf and turf we always have. Staff in general is very dismissive and does not seem to care one bit about service, quality, cleanliness or safety. Wait staff seems to be stretched thin and overwhelmed. Drink refills took several times after asking, and waitress seemed like she was trying to avoid us. We asked about the pop because our refill was not at all the same as the first pop. She threw her arms in the air as if to say oh well, and walked away. Not "I'm sorry, let me check the machine and we'll get that fixed." Then I made a visit to the ladies' room. There was paper all over, the sink was running and the toilet was clogged with toilet paper. On my way back to the table, I almost fell on the slippery floor. I saw a manager in the area and let her know the floor was very slippery. All she said was "yes, it's snowing out.". Really? At this point I was fed up so I went up front to ask for a manager. While waiting, the young lady at the desk was acting as though I was bothering her by standing there so I moved out of the way. Apparently I ended up standing in front of a supply cabinet because a young man said "Excuse me sir.". And I'm not a sir by the way. He then proceeded to open the cabinet door on my butt. Then he and the young lady were laughing when I raised my voice and said "Excuse me!" The shift manager and general manager were very apologetic about the whole thing, and we appreciated that. However, we will never be back. Every staff member in the restaurant was dismissive and had absolutely no clue what decent customer service looks like. Every time I come to this location there's a problem and today was no different. This is my last day giving them a chance. I ordered online and arrived for curbside pickup. Here's what you need to know: NO ONE is bringing food to your car. NO ONE. So after I checked in the link that was sent to my phone, I realized that no one was going to bring me the food, I walked in. There was one waitress, one carry out person, and cooks. My food wasn't ready and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food to come out. I got a cup of chicken tortilla soup, some steak and asparagus. I get to my car and before I pull off I taste the soup and IMMEDIATELY spit it out. It was ICE COLD. Not cold like it sat out too long, but cold as if it had been in the fridge for several hours. I take it back in and the lady doesn't apologize but brings me another soup. Go to the car, open the soup....ICE COLD. At that point I gave up. I pulled off and dumped the food. The only thing good was the asparagus. This is a severe management issue. This location has had customer service and food quality issues for at least two years. At some point the owners/regional management should step in and seriously address issues and properly train the staff. It's awful at this location: dirty, bad service, and bad food. The next time you think "Hey let's go to Miller Rd Chilis!" Think again. They have better food and service at McDonald's. Matter of fact, just go to Chick-Fil-A down the street. read more

This Chili's has bad reviews for a reason. There was pretty much nothing good about this chilis other than the chips and salsa. The server was nice but was not attentive at all. He only came to our table to take our order and drop off our food and waters. We had to get his attention for water refills, chips, and salsa refills, and issue with food (he didn't come by to make sure everything was okay with the food after it was dropped off). The server told us that the tortillas were still being made (for our fajitas) but would be out soon. After about 10 minutes, I asked him if the tortillas would be ready soon and he responded, "Oh, they didn't bring you tortillas?" and grabbed them for us right away... Many times we found ourselves asking where he was and having to get his attention from afar to request water, chips & salsa, etc. The food was what you can expect for a big chain (we love the chips and salsa!), but had to wait 10 minutes for the tortillas that were supposed to come with our fajitas. Not good. They remodeled the restaurant, but that's it. The service is bad, the food is mediocre and the ambiance is lacking. The overall quality of the food and service both have slid since its opening. This is possibly the worst managed Chili's anywhere. It fails in every aspect. Last time I ate here with my wife, no one paid attention to the tables, the wait staff chatted with each other and ignored patrons and the management didn't appear very concerned. Our food was horrible, cold and left sitting under the heat lamps. My burger was atrocious. The only edible part of the meal was the alcohol we ordered from the bar. The bartender had it together, yet no one else was on the ball. They receive an extra star for the bartender! My wife's sandwich was horrible, it looked unattractive and she didn't bitter to eat more than two bites. We wound up leaving hungry and unsatisfied. Never again. It wasn't until after I paid and arrived to pick up my food that I was informed that they are out of ribs. My only option for a refund was to wait 3-5 business days after they submit the request to corporate. Why I wasn't notified by phone of this issue so I could have chosen something else instead and it have been ready when I arrived. My first visit to this place will definitely be my last. Please don't waste your time or money on this comically horrible restaurant. My wife and I were greeted by a team of four employees when we walked in. One said hello, one got the silverware and the other grabbed a menu. They handed everything over to a fourth employee to show us to our table. Not the most efficient operation right out of the gate, but at least it was a team effort. We get to our table and the guy seating us just stops and looks around all confused. We stand there long enough that my wife actually asks "is this where we are supposed to sit down?" The guy said he wasn't sure, but that he would come back and get us if we needed to move. Hmmm. Foreshadowing anyone? Our waitress actually showed up pretty quickly. So did my wife's meal. Mine however? Not so much. No one checked on us, and we couldn't even flag anyone down to let them know that only one plate had made it to the table because all of the employees on the floor were feverishly working to try and address the wall to wall problems. Every other table had a Chilis employee draped in electronic regalia trying to sort some kind of problem out. Seriously. The staff here wear electronic tablets around their necks, walkie talkies and cell phones in cool plasti-leather corporate issues cases. None of it works apparently, or perhaps it just makes things so complex and chaotic that customers don't get their food. So now it's like twenty minutes later and we are finally able to get someone's attention and I get my shrimp tacos. Cold as can be. Mmmmm. Cold shrimp in a slimy spicy sauce. Complete with dried out Spanish rice that has a distinct similarity to eating a cup of sawdust. Again, no one checks on us. At all. For a half hour. So I just want to get out of this place now. After another twenty minutes it's obvious that no one is going to bring the bill or speak to us again, so I grab the little mini TV / video game / tablet / maybe I can just pay with this box and leave thing. Nope. Tapped the pay now button and it says $0.00 is due. I had to get up and literally stand right by the entry to the kitchen to get anyone to notice me. Someone was kind enough to go get my waitress, and she was kind enough to spend another four seconds with my wife and I, scolding me and telling me that the bill is already on the little video game / tablet / broken box screen. So in all fairness we did get a total of around 10 seconds of her time during our visit. I am considering calling the U of M Flint Business School and suggesting that they take their students to this restaurant on field trips. It would be an outstanding real world example of how to take a business that exists in a very mature sector and somehow totally screw up each and every step. The bottom line? I ordered bbq chicken, chicken crispers and fried pickles.. along with a side of chips and salsa with sour cream. Got the message it was ready pulled in to the pickup spot and put in my parking space number. Waited for 15 minutes checked in and nobody brought out our food yet.. husband went inside and got the food.. we brought it home and I got somebody else's order.. Spicy bbq chicken. burger Bites and fried pickles.. also no sour cream.... Somebody else's name on my order and my kids were not happy they didn't get chicken crispers.. just a very strange experience from Chilis, never have I had service like this. read more

Been here twice now. First time was horrible so I figured I would give them another chance. Wrong move. First time the food was dry and other things soggy. Like it sat there on the counter forever to be brought out. This time, I ordered chicken fajitas and some of the chicken was still pink and the onions and peppers were completely raw. The veggies are suppose to be sautéed but they were as raw as they come. Two strikes for me and I'm done so not coming to this Chili's again. A mixed review, but one that should show how much they have improved in the last couple years. Food was EXCELLENT!! They were not busy, our server Haily was attentive, did great but one mistake had our appetizer come out 10 minutes after our dinner. Not something I could save and reheat later, so had to give up on dinner. Was not happy about that. ISSUES - other than the server mistake noted above, was a table processor that did not work correctly, which I dislike and always have. Much rather server handle, but they still use these. And when we sought help, I assume the store manager who WALKED PASSED US - I said 'sir, we need your help'....he looked at me, then past me and kept walking. He should have stopped anyway to ask about our experience, but neither happened. No name tag I saw and my apologies to have to identify him by race, but of the two managers we spotted, he was the African-American one. Kitchen staff you get 5 stars and Haily tried really hard, mistakes happen. But a manager who won't stop to help, sadly won't get reprimanded. Sadly, no one apologized for those.
