I've probably eaten at this local Chilli's more than anybody over several years. It used to be our favorite place. Great bartender, food spot in, and excellent staff. Something changed around 3 years ago because the place has gone to hell in a hand basket. We still have gone because we like the selection but each trip gets worse. Today we went probably for the last time. We got a hightop table, sat there for 10-15 minutes while every waiter that came by kept going. So we just got up and left. We had a HUGE To go order and was a little apprehensive about ordering from chilis because we do t always have great service but Maddie knocked it out of the park. Today after not getting service at Bob Evan's, we decided to try Chili's. We went in and was greeted at the door. I asked for a booth as they weren't that busy. The hostess immediately took us to a table, turned and left. We noticed the table was dirty and there was a lot of food under the table. We moved to the next table as no one was there. That table was also dirty. So we moved to the next table. The table was dirty and food on the floor under the table. My sister noticed a server cleaning a booth and asked her if we could move there. She said yes, after she cleaned it. My sister told the hostess about the dirty tables and floor situation. She turned and walked off without saying a word. The server then til us to come to the booth. We went over and she asked what we wanted to drink. We told her we were ready to order. I order an Old Timer burger with cheese, lettuce and onion and mayo. My sister placed her order. We got our drinks pretty fast. When our order came, my burger had cheese, tomato, lettuce and I am not sure about mayo. It was very hot. It was served with fries which were cold, not warm, cold. I didn't send it back because I don't know how long I would have to wait or what they would do to them. I ate them cold. I left a smaller tip than usual. Wonder what is going on with the restaurants in Beckley. My burger had no onion. read more

Im very disgusted with this place. The floor hasn't been mopped in over 3 weeks. I placed some gook on the floor in various places that should wipe up as soon as a mop hits them and they are still there. Also the patrician walls that are filthy from food and drinks that have splashed from being knocked over. If its this dirty in the dinning areas i could only imagine what the kitchen looks like.. its time to make a call to the health department and also corporate. Our food ( burger platter) was so burnt and crisp it was uneatable i told the waitress and her response was just " oh " " ok"...that was it...this place has been going down since last year. Our oldest son wanted to eat at Chili's for his birthday. It's was a group of 7 and we were seated at a table in the middle of the main dining. Waitresses circled around us for 15 minutes, never stopping to take drinks orders or anything. My father-in-law had to go ask for us to be waited on. My husband watched them stand and laugh after realizing no one waited on us. When confronted about it, they explained it was a confusion of whose section we were in. It was 15 minutes before the youngest boys' drinks arrived and at least 20 before our drinks from the bar arrived. The chips and salsa arrived and then salsa was water as if they'd turned the jar to the side and drained the liquid in our bowls (pictures attached). We had to ask for edible salsa. Our meals arrived shortly after our drinks and was the only redeeming part of the experience. read more

This could be one of the worst spots around for a meal. The waitstaff is not just incompetent with their tables but seating incoming customers in an empty restaurants is even an issue for then. Wow. After ordering our food we waited over an hour. Our chips and salsa never made their way to the table after even asking three consecutive times. Salads which arrived first were very soggy and wet. The meals themselves, when they finally arrived, were nothing to rave about by any means. They were cold and the chicken in the dishes was not what we were expecting for taste. I'll never eat at another chili's again. Don't get me wrong, most of the employees are great. Chandra and Patricia and Stacie are some of the hardest working, nicest people you will ever meet. I should know, I used to work there. Now, before you think "here's another disgruntled ex-employee post" hear me out. I've worked at corporate and private restaurants, casual dining and resort. I've done everything from dishwashing to managing so I feel I've earned a right to say a thing or two. My biggest issue with Chili's isn't the quality of the food, though most of it is pre-frozen and half mixed (those mashed potatoes? Half real potatoes and half mix. Same with most other things here.) My issue comes from sanitation. Yes, the restaurant seems clean enough, and it is. I spent many evenings washing the kitchen floor. The food, though... I brought up a major issue with mixing old and new product to the kitchen manager and then the district manager, who informed me that all Chili's do the same thing - pour an old pan of dressing, salsa, cheese, whatever, into a new pan, fill it up and put a new date on it. That ranch you're chowing down on could be a year old mixed in with fresh stuff. That's just not the way to do it. I also remember vividly people grabbing chips or fries and dipping them into whatever they like, salsa, ranch, honey mustard. I even saw a server once grab a handful of cheese and just nom it there over the pan. Yes, I took it to the managers. It's hard, though, when your GM is doing it, too. As for service, I was told the day I was let go that it wasn't the fact I'd had a seizure at work the day before but that I spent too much time with my customers and not enough time cleaning. Tasted OK flavor-wise, but they were straight up cold. - Dry rub on the ribs isn't supposed to also come on dry ribs. The meat should be tender and juicy. But the dry-rub ribs had actual dried-out meat. - Brought me the wrong drink. - Seating arrangement is just bad. They have tables out in the middle of walkways and they're too close to other patrons. The worst part was there were tons of empty booths but they chose to seat people at these tables instead. - Our server was whiny. She was whining about how they gave her her own section on her fifth day back from taking a month off or something. GUESS WHAT? The rest of us have much more stressful jobs that require more than walking back and forth between tables with food. We don't care. Get my drink right and do the one thing you are there to do correctly and then maybe you can whine even a little bit... but not really. Do your job with a smile and make us happy we came there. - The ribs seem expensive given that I could've gotten bigger, hotter, more flavorful ribs at a nonchain. - They have Ziosks here now. And they're just annoying. But I'd rather interact with those than any server I've ever had at this Chili's. read more

We were seated as soon as we walked in. Server seemed a bit in a hurry for us to order but I was slow this was the first time I've been in chili's in over ten years. Finally decided on the ribs which were awesome. Ribs came with fried potatoes which I didn't like they had some seasoning on them that tastes soured. The broccoli was great cooked just right.
