This Chili's is located right by the Outlet Mall in Barceloneta, on the other side of the parking lot. After doing some shopping, we decided to eat something before heading back to San Juan. It had been ages since we ate at a Chili's so we thought we'd give it a shot. Afterall, it is a kid friendly environment. We were immediately seated in a booth. Our waitress was nice. Service was good all through the meal. As for the food, it was just as I remember. Good, but not memorable. We had the steak fajitas and the skillet queso. The fajitas were good. The steak was well seasoned. The skillet queso, on the other hand, was not very good. It was salty and soupy. The chips weren't that good either. They lacked flavor, and the salsa was runny and also lacked flavor. Overall, the experience was fine. Best part was the service. read more

The best reason to come here is because of its family friendly atmosphere. Good place to bring kids. When I was vacationing in PR, I was taken to lunch at Chili's. I did not want to go there because the Chili's in New London, CT is horrible. Well, what a pleasant surprise. This Chilis is located near the Puerto Rican outlets. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, yet we were seated right away at a table, but I had to request another because I could not fit my legs under the table. We were moved to a higher booth that had more leg room. Our waitress did not know much English, but took our order promptly. The queso I ordered for an appetizer was brown. That was a little off putting, but it could have been the beans that were added. I ordered a burger to eat which I devoured. It was delicious. Food was good. Service was terrible. I understand there is a language barrier at times, but that shouldn't stop you in a relationship based industry from trying to help a patron. The servers here stand around more then work. Tables are left unattended for long stretches at a time. It was frustrating. I think it was because we didn't speak Spanish and they were intimated, but like I said earlier that shouldn't be a problem. read more

I don't even know where to start. This Chili's gives Chili's a bad name. Yes, I know it's a chain. Yes, I know I can't expect much. But it took a lot for me not to walk out of the place. From the start it was a disaster. Server took forever just to get our drinks. She messed up our order. She brought me buffalo wings WITHOUT buffalo sauce. Then tells me that some customers didn't want sauce on their wings so they decided to just eliminate it...WHAT??!!!!! My daughters' food was cold when it arrived. I sent back my wings and asked for salad. Once again, the salad was incomplete, missing ingredients. Server was rude and completely uninterested in serving us. I'm going to rate this place a 5 because of the people. Sometimes it's just the good people behind the scenes that make a place worth visiting more often. Short story - worked late, entered through their doors at 10.10 pm. And headed for the bar hoping for food. I was promptly told by the waitress they were closed, kitchen and bar. disappointed. I asked if other places nearby were open. And, the answer was disappointed. At which point another guy saw what was going on, and steps in, realizing what's going on and think seeing the look in my face., asked what I wanted and would check what he could manage. A simple order of grilled fish and some veggies. And it was served in 15 minutes. I actually just bit into to first bite.. I know, in my mind, it's not the best culinary piece in creation.. but the taste is .. oh wow.. im hungry. So yeah. Where most would hold to positions and rules. The service and wait times are terrible here, there is always employee's just standing around doing now thing besides talking amongst themselves. I can back here for like the third time to see of anything would bf different but it's the same bad service every time. Even I have my arm up to get someone's attention, they seem to act like they can't see me and just keep doing what they are doing (which is nothing). read more

Meal was great. Waiter was friendly, attentive and bilingual. Meals were timely and just as requested.

I never would have come here but I was visiting my brother and he loves the place, so I adapted a "it's not where you're at but who you're with" attitude. I went in with the lowest of expectations, but that didn't save the meal. I got the southwest egg rolls and the beef fajitas. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside and stuffed with chicken, corn, and black beans. It was frozen food section quality, but definitely better than the fajitas. Just when I thought you couldn't possibly mess that up, they went out of their way to prove me wrong. The iron plate that it was served on didn't have that sizzle and trail of smoke following it that you get just about everywhere on the globe. The meat was lukewarm and tasted like it had been marinating in soy sauce for decades. I also had a taste of my brother's daughter's pasta and it tasted like pure tomato paste. Props to her for almost finishing it coz it tasted acidic enough to dissolve the dish it was served in. On a positive note the wait staff were attentive and bubbly, not the typical lazy and aloof Puerto Rican hospitality you get everywhere else on this island. read more
