The taquito combo missing the rice and beans. We specifically ordered the $15.99 combo instead of the $6.99 taquito a la carte.

I get it, that we placed our to go order at the end of the day during the last hour of business. We specifically ordered the taquito combo because we wanted to have rice and beans. We requested no lettuce and no guacamole and they totally accommodated that. But then when we got the order, there were no rice and beans. We also ordered a side of chips and guacamole, and got a good portion of chips, and the guacamole was delicious. For my entrée, I had a shrimp burrito and it was delicious until 3/4 of the way down. I happened to take a bite and it revealed a shrimp with so much in its poop shoot and at the same time that I saw that, i felt sand between my molars. I threw away the rest of the burrito away I just couldn't. It's a bummer to me, we have always loved Chile Verde as a family, but it stinks that there is so much of a difference in the different locations. I guess we'll have to go back to the one that we have frequented in the past. I did get a refund for the missing rice and beans from the food delivery service.

    Receipt from online order 5/24/25

I ordered direct from the their website today 5/24/25 and part of my order was incorrect. Once I opened each bag & plate I realized I was missing a taco and the enchilada I ordered (shredded beef ) was made with ground beef. I called at approximately 6:15pm to get a refund for the incorrect plate and missing item. I spoke with someone named Jose who told me he was the manager. Originally he denied my order being incorrect because "he was the one who made it." After I insisted that it was incorrect he offered me a store credit and stated he could not do a refund. I get it, we all make mistakes but basically telling your customer they are lying is highly distasteful. Although, the food is usually good & service is usually up to par. I'm disappointed with this particular order/interaction. I asked Jose for some form of proof for my store credit and he said he could not email me or anything that it would "just be here in a note." Hopefully this will serve as proof since I was unable to obtain that from Jose. I will update with once this situation has been rectified.

I had a great experience here today ! Upon arrival I loved that it wasn't too packed but the food looked promising. The service was great, the lady helping us was really nice. We decided to eat there and she even served us an appetizer on the house. The food also didn't disappoint, 10/10 would go again. Food was fresh and so yummy. I had the huevos rancheros and my husband had a burrito. But the CHURRO WAS AMAZING!! Def a must have

Just for the record: if I could get paid to review food and workout all the time I would, lol, but again, I enjoyed another visit to Chile Verde!!! Service always good with a smile, the Thursday Night Football game was on, so gave off a good ambiance, but I definitely enjoyed the wet burrito special, again. Lol, i ordered the green salsa and ground beef burrito this time and it did not disappoint. Like I said, I came back, and will come back again!!!!

Tried the green chili chimichanga it was very good. Only complaint why would they start putting the chips in the container with the burrito. So chips completely sogged out smh.

It should have been a chunky beef burrito, but I really don't think it was could've been pork...

I was very very disappointed in my chunky beef burrito... With my first bite I bet into a chewy piece of meat or a piece of whatever look like it had a nice thick piece of fat around it. I couldn't even chew or swallow it. What shall I do with? I end up, spitting it into my napkin... The only best part about my meal was the chips and soda... I ordered beef and it did not look like beef. Normally, when I order my burrito when I bite into the beef, it becomes stringy it's brown looking like beef... I did not complain due to the fact I was running short on time with my coworkers and I didn't wanna cause any problems... I do not recommend this particular location. I normally go to Inglewood and or Hawthorn on 120th street. I will say the staff were nice and they brought that horrible burrito to my table... My other colleague wasn't happy with his chicken enchilada he said it tasted strange. I gave my burrito to a homeless guy on my block.

We normally call ahead to order our food, and it'll take roughly 10 - 15 minutes. Service is always solid - the workers are friendly and helpful. We normally get the carne asada/pollo fries and they're awesome. Fries are cooked perfectly (I swear there was a period of time where they coated the fries and that wasn't it, but thankfully they stopped), comes with the usual toppings like guacamole, onions, cilantro, etc. They top it with a hefty amount of juicy meat - both carne asada and pollo options are solid. Recently though I've been straying from fries and getting different dishes like the chicken flautas, enchiladas, and mulitas. Chefs kiss for each one. The rice and beans + salsa combo are also flavorful and pair nicely with the entree.

My plate was loaded, the kind of generous, no‑nonsense serving that tells you they cook with heart, not shortcuts. Every bite had that strictly authentic, home‑style flavor that reminded me of family, childhood mornings, and my grandma throwing down in the kitchen. The spot itself is super casual, eat in or take out, nothing fancy, nothing trying too hard. But honestly, the food and the service are the only "decor" this place needs. If you're craving something real, comforting, and made with love, this taqueria delivers. Miguel C.

The vibe is unfussy, the service is friendly in that "we got you, don't worry" way, and the food comes out fast enough to make your stomach feel seen. Man cause we were craving some Mexican food. The wet burrito was the star of my visit, big, saucy, and exactly the kind of comfort bomb you want from a spot like this. The red sauce had that perfect balance of savory and tangy, and the burrito itself was stuffed generously. Every bite was so good, so delicious! And the tacos.....Fire. The homemade tortillas make all the difference, soft, warm, and with that fresh‑masa aroma that tells you they didn't come from a plastic bag. No... no... no! They hold up beautifully to the fillings without falling apart, and they add this subtle sweetness that elevates everything. Chips and salsa were simple but solid. The chips had a good crunch, and the salsa tasted fresh, bright, and not overly blended, the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're "saving room for the burrito." "Maybe we were just hungry..hungry huh?" The drinks were honestly refreshing as hell. True Mexican style if you're going to complete the meal....que no?
