Ordered Birria and has no flavor, so bland! Waited for 15 mins for my food and there's no one there but me as it's almost 2pm and it's way past lunchtime. Pricey! for $20 i'm expecting more , there are only 3 pcs of meat in there and 1 fat. If you come here with high expectations, you might get disappointed. The Mexican food menu combined with the mainstream American breakfast and fast food menu gives you the average experience. The food was not that cheap but it seems you might get a dollar taco after 5pm and the dinner options are better price wise. The taco platter came with three tacos, fried beans, and rice. The chicken tacos are good with the spicy salsa sauce and plenty of cilantro. I liked how the rice was flavored. We also tried Buffalo chicken wings and they were not bad. It came with tons of fries. Just don't expect anything creative. If you want something simple, this is a safe place. The inside was nicely cleaned and it was cute that the waiter brought a small basket of tortilla chips and the salsa sauce and silverwares rather than having the disposal plastic ones on the counter. The lady who took our orders was very nice too. The eating space has no frills but the beachy wall art was cute. As it's in the tiny strip mall, there are not many parking slots and each slot seems a bit small. It's still not that hard to park here. I am not sure if we are looking forward to coming back here but I don't mind stopping by if we are close by. read more

Horrible customer service!!!! I ordered a breakfast plate that came with 2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, hash-browns and toast. I substituted my toast with pancakes and also wanted 3 pieces of sausages( which I paid extra for). I got home and checked my plate and it was 1 scrambled egg and no sausage with 1 pancake. I called to complain and the woman over the phone called me a liar and said that she checked before giving it to me which she didn't. This place needs flavor in there food its very bland. I had the taco plate and the meat was dry and warm not hot and juicy just warm and it had no flavor somebody needs to put some seasonings together and help that place out. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was served to me warm WTF!! Shrimp cocktails should be cold and fresh. Maybe it was the cook on duty that night I dont know, but! what I do know is for my first time there a whole lot was wrong. Check your food before leaving. I asked for bacon, I only saw two pieces, not slices/strips. Pieces. The egg and hash browns weren't seasoned with salt. Very bland. The girls must've thought I couldn't handle spicy, lol. They gave me the most mild salsa. I don't mind that, but it has zero flavor. Tasted like tomatillo water. And the coffee was so hot, it tasted burned. But that happens sometimes. For many years, I've driven by this place and never been there until now. The parking lot always looks full. My brother recommended the asada fries from this place. But, I'm not impressed. Given that this place seems to highly advertise inexpensive prices and Yelp reviews state that it's cheap, I didn't expect to pay so much for pretty bland food. And, I did read a few reviews that claimed the food was bland, and I do believe them now. I ordered the chicken hardshell tacos with the rice and beans, as advertised at the counter. There was no price tag on it, but I assumed it would probably be $7-8 bucks since most meals on the menu seem to be that way. I ended up paying $13 and some change. I added a $2 drink and $1 soft taco (which was the only food I actually enjoyed). So I thought my total would have probably come out to $10-11. And, you may say that I am being cheap, but hey, those few dollars of a difference does make a difference in deciding whether or not the food is worth it. And, it was not! The chicken in the tacos were very bland. The rice and beans looked very appetizing, but don't let that fool ya! This place needs to try to add just a bit more salt. I could've gotten tacos from Chipotle with guacamole and still pay less! And, food would've been way more flavorful! I was super disappointed with the quality of food. I like to support small businesses, but I can't with the quality of food. If the food was good, then maybe I wouldn't be so upset about paying $13 for the meal, but it wasn't. Especially since many reviewers were raving that it's inexpensive. I say bullpoop! I get the feeling this place mainly strives on their burgers and breakfast food options. They did have a variety of breakfast options. They even had chicken Teriyake with macaroni salad, a pretty odd item on the menu for a Mexican restaurant. Anyway, I would probably return to try the breakfast to see if maybe that's better. But, I still can't over the fact that I paid $13 and .75 (credit card charge) for the most disappointing food. I don't recommend this place. If anything, save your money, wait until 6pm and buy yourself better quality and inexpensive food at Doty's food truck across the street. Probably one of the worst fish taco plates I've ever had in my life. The fish was boiled and flavorless. Their beans tasted old. Their salsa also had a strange flavor as well. The only thing that was good was their avocado and bottled Coca-Cola. read more

The meat was tough like jerky, I just picked through the tender "fresh" pieces, fries seemed no better, rewarmed as well. When I moved into my apartment in Gardena last year, I had only one food goal. That was to find an establishment within walking distance that I could walk to with great chili cheese fries. This is that place. With the location there are several hamburger stands within walking distance, but only Pancho's delivers the goods. The menu is pretty vast, ranging from American to Mexican with tasty breakfast foods in there too. There is no delivery, but you can phone ahead and it will be ready before you get there. read more

I was having my car tuned across the street. so I walked over. I ordered Huevos Rancheros. My fav breakfast btw. ever since I moved back to Torrance I've been trying to find someone who can cook this simple plate. They did !! Wow such a simple plate but no one can cook it. . Panchos did it right; ) I loved it. Eggs cooked to perfection. creamy refried beans, hash browns and a large (5) stack of grilled corn tortillas. all for 3.99. I have been here before and I enjoyed their food very much except for today. I don't know if they have a new cook or if the cook was off their game, but the food was very bland. The rice and beans lacked salt and even when I added salt to them, they still had a bland taste. The mojara frita was just fried and no kind of flavor at all. I come here for the cheeseburgers...I called in one day pregnant with my 3rd child and had my two little ones in the back seat covered in the mess they made with ice cream cones. First visit was also the last. I wanted some Mexican food but had a busy day of errands so it needed to be drive thru. This popped up on my search and was between two of my stops so I thought, perfect. There is no drive thru. Not sure how that slipped the cracks but, you know, internet ... This is really more of a Mexican/American small diner. Spotlessly clean, that was in their favor. Staff were all friendly, menu easy to read, no wait to place my order. Only a couple people inside but I was not there during a specific rush or peak time, like breakfast or lunch, so that was not a big deal to me. I ordered the chicken taquitos plate, which included rice and beans, and an order of chips. (I can't be the only person in the world who mixes their rice and beans and eats it like a dip!) My first clue should have been when, a few minutes after I placed my order, the front counter clerk verified my order. "You wanted the tacos, or the taquitos? They are crispy, right?" He had already repeated it back to me when I ordered. Yes, chicken taquitos, please. Yes, those are the crispy ones. Several more minutes and he calls to me that my order is ready. In a bit of a rush to get to my next appointment, I thanked him kindly, grabbed the bag and left. The next appointment was quick so I took care of that and headed home to eat. The bag of food was on a flat surface the whole time, which honestly from out the door to my dining room table was less than 10 minutes. I open the bag. Beans EVERYWHERE. Smeared all over the bag. One of the teensy "salsa" containers had been under the food container so that was also a mess. Glad it was inside the bag and not on my upholstery. Grabbed a paper towel, carefully removed the container and wiped it off, prepared to eat. I have never, in my entire life, had a more tasteless, bland, unremarkable Mexican food meal. I can't even say it was bad, it didn't taste horrible - it just didn't taste like anything. Beans were kind of watery, rice was a bit either overcooked or stale from sitting too long. The chicken inside the taquitos? Absolutely NO flavor. NONE. I might as well have been licking a piece of cardboard. The best part of the meal was the small scoop of guacamole and the fresh pico de gallo. I mixed the rice and beans and then realized-they also forgot my chips. I had to add salt to my "dip" mix, which for health reasons I rarely do, and that made it barely palatable. At least I could taste the salt. I would not recommend this establishment, and the reason they got two stars is because it is impeccably clean and the staff are courteous. As noted by Carol J.
