This place has amazing food. It was our first time coming here and we tried the baked empanada, the chorrillanas (which is French fries smothered with beef slices, grilled onions, and eggs), and one of their completos (which is a hot dog) with melted Gouda cheese, caramelized onions, and eggs. I can't wait to go back and try their other menu items! You can't beat this food truck with its unique tasty menu and cheap prices. I went around 7pm on a Friday and no one was there but the place (a food truck with outdoor seating) seemed fairly new so I thought heck, it's worth a shot. This place should be packed with people it's that great. I'll post pictures of the menu and you can even call in your order if you want to make a to-go order. Everything we ordered was made fresh so it took a little more time than you'd expect from a food truck (about 10 min), but it was definitely worth the wait and was nice knowing that it was fresh and hot for us.

Try everything. Fresh, delicious and inexpensive. The folks that own/work there are exceptionally nice, explain the menu etc.

Delicious South American food. Chilenos famous for their empanadas and this place delivers traditional flavors cooked to perfection. Yum!

The Mac and cheese is some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The rice and beans are delicious along with the plantains. The Cole slaw is also the best Cole slaw in the area. We love having this place walking distance to us. It's a perfect lunch or dinner spot.

This visit, the moment I walked to the counter I was greeted with a smile, and I remember her from my first visit. I ordered the 1/2 chicken because it was only $3 more than a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides. You get both white and dark meat and I order fried Yucca and black beans & rice. The chicken has so much flavor from the charcoal. The Yucca was perfectly fried fresh, and the black beans and rice were satisfying. It is a little pricey about $27 with fountain drink and a 15% tip (in my opinion they should not ask with their point of sale system when it is not a full service restaurant). This is the reason why they got a 3 star instead of 4 stars. This reminds me of Peruvian style rotisserie chicken that I use to eat when I lived in Washington DC area. Here, they are branded as Latin American Charcoal Chicken. This not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up at the order at the other end. They have a small but adequate dining room. I wonder how they are during a lunch and dinner rush. I will soon see.

But in fact, it is a Chilean food truck and the next door food truck is Salvadorian, which I was even more excited to try. Viva is run by a sweet older man who gave me his recommendations, so I took them and ordered the Churrasco Sandwich (avocado, mayonnaise, tomato, and steak) which came with fries and the cheese empanadas for my mom. The sandwich was incredibly flavorful, the steak tasted amazing, there was an over abundance of avocado which is rare because you know how most restaurants can be stingy on crushed avo! The fries were crispy and perfect with ketchup, my mom loved the cheese empanadas, I also tried a bite and they were flakey and crispy, cheese inside was gooey and warm, you can't go wrong with a great empanada! I was happy we tried this spot and that it didn't end up being Mexican (which I also love btw), I've never tried Chilean food before and more people should know about Viva! There were more people at the Salvadorian spot next to it but it shared the same patio, I'd be curious to try the other spot when I come back to Pensacola. All in all, a great experience, bursting with flavor. 10/10!
