Talk about unassuming! You would easily drive by this place thinking it was not what it appears to be. Do yourself a favor. Stop by and eat. Is that simple. You don't need a lengthy "food critic" review. Just go in, sit down, and truly enjoy a great eating experience.

If you love tamales you must stop here! My chicken tamale was almost perfect. Really nicely cooked masa was soft and full of flavor. The chicken was moist in the center. This tamale was clearly made the same day and never frozen. I loved it! The tacos were good. Tortillas are indeed fluffy, and although I wasn't a fan of that (would prefer them grilled), I always appreciate a fresh tortilla (no place should serve purchased tortillas). Asada was excellent - usually at most places these tacos are too dry, but not here. Really well seasoned and juicy meat. The barbacoa was alright; needed more seasoning. Overall, I loved the food here. Apparently they have a secret menu that is constantly rotating - so worth asking about. I would definitely come back, and would probably just get a bunch of those tamales.

Been here twice in two days. Was given this suggestion from r/Pensacola! Walking in it is super small but clean. I believe most people get their meals to go. Tacos are the bomb! Lengua tacos I know are not everyone's favorite but they are mine and if they can rock this protein gonna have to say the rest are just as good. I can attest the asada was also very good. Meats are well seasoned and the food comes out hot hot hot! The tamale also well made and came out perfectly steamed in corn husk. Want a kick? Try the red sauce that is ok the table. It will light you up six ways to Sunday. The green...mild and very flavorful. Got to talking to one of the guys who worked there and verified everything is made fresh and in house....down to the flan! I now have a second favorite taco place I will always recommend to anyone visiting or those who live here in Pensacola.

Everything was SO good. Tortillas and tamales were from scratch and they had some traditional menu items like Pozole and Menudo. Staff was great too.

Hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had. Love the environment and decor. Everything is made fresh to order and it shows in both presentation and taste. The breakfast burrito with homemade chorizo was outstanding and the tamales were on point. We finished it off with some flan. So good. The owner is a young man named Gio who's about the nicest kid I ever met. We'll be going back.

Tacos El Fluffy is a wonderful place for tacos located in a small strip plaza with extremely limited parking. That parking lot is the only minus on my visit to this wonderful place for tacos and other Mexican favorites. I went with three tacos for lunch. I went with an asada taco, a pastor taco and a barbacoa taco and all three were wonderful, but if I had to go with a favorite, I would have to give my nod to the barbacoa taco. The restaurant is small and does not possess the ambiance of a high-end restaurant, but I have always maintained that the best Mexican food comes from these little hole-in-the-wall type places. The girl that took my order was extremely friendly and a man who I am assuming was the owner was discussing Mexican food in such an animated and passionate way to an older couple who were customers that it was obvious that for this gentleman, it was obvious a labor of love for him bringing these wonderful tacos and other Mexican favorites to the community of Pensacola. Overall, this place definitely deserves five stars and I would definitely recommend here.

This place is a wonderful spot to get some really tasty street tacos. We came here two days in a row! Both days the owner (Gio) came out to greet and speak with us both days (excellent customer service). He told us a little about how he got started here, how he only started 5 weeks ago and has already generated a great customer base, and how his shop is family operated. The rest of the staff is friendly and we got our food rather quickly. The steak tacos are bomb, and I appreciate the sauce offerings. As far as ambience, the store is open and bright but relatively small. Recommend coming not during the lunch rush as the seating is limited and if anyone comes with a large group, you likely will be standing or have to sit in your car to eat. Thankfully the owner mentioned they should be expanding locations soon so hopefully the space won't be an issue much longer. But definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good taco!

A small place with limited menu but the food is good. They were out of horchata on both our visits. Flan is ok. Meat tacos are good.

Fantastic Tacos! The barbacoa has so many layers of flavor and the pork tamale was incredibly tender. Great spot.

Not my favorite but the staff was nice. Food was a bit too Americanized for me. Good enough flavor, but not clambering to get back here.

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!

One review said they had the "best queso ever" at Lupitas Mexican Kitchen, but they apparently do not sell queso. So that was the first let down. The chicken quesadilla didn't really have any cheese, literally the chicken just fell out because there was nothing to hold it together. Lupita's Mexican Kitchen has a pretty straightforward menu and I had it narrowed down to either a burrito or the birria tacos and I asked the smiling young lady behind the counter which of the two I should go with. After a momentary pause, she pointed to the birria tacos sign. I paid for my order and found a seat. In a few moments, the smiling girl called out to me and handed me my food. The plate consisted of four birria tacos, a cup of consome (it appears that is the correct spelling for this. I thought it would be spelled like the traditional consomme) and a few small containers of both a spicy red sauce and a creamy green sauce. The price point was thirteen dollars. Quite a good price for the quality and quantity of the food they provided. These birria tacos were very good. I tore into them with quite some gusto. Mexican food is truly a culinary gift. I would have to say that Mexican is one of my favorite cuisines and it is because of these wonderfully humble little mom-and-pop establishments like Lupita's Mexican Kitchen. If you find yourself in Pensacola, Florida and craving Mexican food, Lupita's Mexican Kitchen is a great place to head for. Overall, I would definitely recommend Lupita's Mexican Kitchen and I will give it five stars overall.
