This was one of the most upsetting experiences I've had with any childcare service. A rock was thrown at my daughters face while she was under their supervision, and not only did this happen, but no one informed me or her father at all. We had to hear about it from our own children, which is beyond unacceptable. This shows a complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic safety protocols. There was clearly not enough supervision to prevent something like this, and even worse, no transparency afterward. As a parent, that is terrifying. If they can fail to report something this serious, it makes me question what else is being overlooked or hidden. It feels like they are either not paying attention, not properly trained, or simply don't care enough to notify parents when their child could have been seriously hurt. I trusted this place with my child's safety, and they completely failed. I would not recommend this program to any parent who expects honesty, responsibility, and proper care. read more

We have had an absolutely fabulous first year here with the team in the Infant room - especially Ms. Kristen and Ms. Izabel! They made us (parents) feel so comfortable leaving our months-old baby during the day and we can really tell that he loves it here because now that he is a bit older he gets really excited when we pull up to school! The camera viewing is great and they also post pictures and videos and food/bottle/diaper updates for us multiple times a day so we never feel like we don't know what is going on. They love him and have taught him so well. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

I used my backup caregiver benefit through Bright Horizons for 30 days while searching for a daycare for my son. At first, I was nervous about leaving him at such a young age, but Childtime helped ease that anxiety--especially with their live camera access. I found myself watching frequently during the first few days, but by the end of the first week, I felt much more at ease and had begun building trust with the staff. Kristen, in particular, has been absolutely amazing with my son. She always greets us warmly at drop-off and immediately makes me feel comfortable leaving him in her care. She was attentive to his needs--especially when he was having frequent spit-ups--and even offered helpful suggestions to manage it. Her kindness and patience stood out, and it was clear that my son felt happy and safe with her. Izabel stood out as well for her attentiveness and calm presence. She was always engaged with the children and made sure each one received care and attention. The only reason I didn't choose Childtime permanently is because the location is about 25 minutes from our home, which wasn't sustainable long-term. Otherwise, I would have loved to continue there. I'm truly going to miss Kristen, and Izabel. I'm so grateful for the loving care they provided during such an important time. read more

1.5 days. That is all it took for me to pull my 3 year old from this place. They have an app that you can watch the "classroom," more like a zoo. Here are just a few of the things I saw: Kids hitting each other, jumping on and off chairs, jumping on tables and trying to push each other off, and all while the teacher stood in a corner off camera. The ONLY time I saw the teacher was when she assisted someone to the bathroom. When I picked up my child, I said, "I don't know if you don't have any children of your own, or you don't have enough resources to help you, but this is a joke. You should be embarrassed." She replied, "I am." (Wow) I told the director that I would not be moving forward with the provided childcare, and I could fill out any paperwork on it if necessary. She replied, "Okay." She didn't ask why or anything! It made me think they know they are running a sh!tshow. My son cried tears of uneasy joy each day I picked him up. At his old daycare (Campbell Community, which unfortunately shut down May 31), he was always excited to see me, show me what he was doing, and had a great relationship with his teachers/aids. I noticed the reviews on here were pretty old, so I wanted to add my own since most of them don't reflect my current experience. This has been my first experience with daycare since this is my first child, so I was really nervous and overall anxious about signing her up ANYwhere, but I've been pleasantly surprised with how smooth the transition has been at this location. I wasn't able to take tour through the classrooms due to COVID precautions (I still haven't been able to), so my tour was just a conversation in a small office. Based on the price ($199 each week for my 1 year old which includes food, diapers, and live camera feed access), the positivity I felt from the directors, the location, and the fact that I was having a hard time finding availability anywhere, I jumped at enrolling her. I figured if it wasn't a good fit then we'd just find a new place, but I needed to get her situated before I started a new job. The first month was rough, I'm not going to lie. The staff was kind, but my daughter was sitting listlessly for most of the day and just seemed withdrawn and exhausted when I picked her up. My heart broke, but I was assured that it was normal for the first few weeks and then she'll break out of her shell. I was pretty obsessive about checking in on the camera to see if any progress was being made, and I was impressed that the teachers (there are about 3-4 at a time in the classroom with 12-14 toddlers) weren't forcing her to join them, just letting her cling to her bottle and blanket as needed and gently encouraging her to participate. But, here we are almost 3 months in and she is seriously thriving! She smiles going in, smiles and babbles away coming out, and I can sleep soundly knowing she's being stimulated and having a good time when I'm not around. Though I haven't been in the classroom itself, it looks tidy and clean via the video feed, and the playground looks decent. They seem to go outside for about an hour each morning, though I imagine they might go out more throughout the day if it wasn't insanely hot outside right now. Oh! And I love that they send me updates throughout the day on an app. I get pictures of her whether she's happy or grumpy, making an art project, playing on the playground, and updates on her diaper's status (wet/dry/bm), along with what she eats throughout the day. Definitely gives me some peace of mind. I do wish they had a bigger office area where parents could gather and wait while their kids are brought out, but I think the process and awkwardness will change once COVID precautions are loosened. And I haven't met or engaged with her teachers other than handing her off and picking her up, so I'm excited for the day when I can pop into the classroom and talk to them without being cramped in the office/lobby. Overall, I feel confident that my 1.5 year old is being developmentally stimulated and cared for in a clean and friendly environment. I don't have much else to base it on since it's my first go at daycare, but I'd definitely recommend it! read more

My husband and I toured here and other places trying to find daycare for our infant son. We liked what we saw and the price was reasonable, so I filled out all of the registration paperwork and returned it a few weeks before our start date. I was told we were all set and confirmed the date he would start. They said we didn't need to pay a registration fee until he began. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what to bring on day one, so I gave them a call. The woman who answered said "the infant room? Oh our infant room is full." At this point I almost cried, and I explained the situation, she assured me the director Danielle would call me back. She did not call me back, so after two days I called again. No one answered so I left a message. No one called me back. So I called and left another message. No call back. Luckily I found another place, but I keep imagining what would have happened if I hadn't called ahead and just arrived on the planned start date. I understand filling up, but it seems reasonable that they would have called me to let me know, since they have a folder full of my family's personal information. I would be extremely wary of making any plans to attend here or getting any communication! Courtney I appreciate your response, but it wasn't being unable to meet my needs immediately. As I mentioned, I understand people may have enrolled in between and started sooner. The lack of communication was extremely disappointing. I don't think I should have to call your corporate office (which I have done already by the way) to get confirmation that my file has been shredded or to get anyone to respond. The look of the building and playground is off putting. I will tell you that right away. However, the care my daughter has received there is 5 stars! We actually pulled her from another more expensive daycare and tried Childtime because it was so close to my work. I am so glad we did! Both Ms. Helen and Ms. Missy are wonderful! My daughter loves them and they treat her like a little princess. Even call her that when we walk in to drop off. The infant room is very bright, open, and clean. You call tell they take pride in the room and the toys in there. We are very happy there and I would give it 5 stars if the front office and building got a little updating and cleaning. However, the rooms are very well kept and that is really what matters most to me. read more

I found the lack of caring with the teachers disturbing. I was picking up my kid from daycare and stayed for his snack. I think one of the kids was lactose intolerant and there was a toddler that was the only kid who did not get yogurt. The teacher just said I can't give you any yogurt and offered no substitution or explanation. The child was screaming off the top of her head and the teacher did not care at all. She ignored the poor toddler and went about her business. Another time I came to pick up my kid and the entire room smelled like poop. His skin was so red because he had poop in his underwear and no one changed him. The classes are way to large... 24:2 ratio so get ready for your kid to get sick. It's not very clean either. My kid got bitten and no one communicated with me about it. I found out because I saw bite marks on my child's arm. They had no idea my kid was bitten. Also the gates are never shut and my husband cut his hand on one of them. The security is not good at all. They have children stay in the front office where its not designed to watch the kids early..., it's super cluttered before the teachers arrive to the class. It does not seem like a safe place to leave my kid at all especially in an office with the door constantly opening and closing read more

My nephew's mom goes to pick him up and he has a huge red swollen welt across his eye and nose. They say he fell and hit his head on the corner of a table. If that was indeed the case, they should have called his mother IMMEDIATELY, not wait for her to walk in and see that. Makes me wonder if he actually fell or did something else happen. Went for a tour since reviews on Yelp are pretty old. Gate was wide open nothing preventing predators from entering, classrooms are entered from street side with no locks on doors. Watched 3 staff members not close gate (one leaving, one coming, and one getting drinks with kids all at seperate times) One adult to 8 babies in infant room as second teacher was absent. Facility was not clean (floors dirty in infant room staff wearing shoes where babies crawl) As I was walking up heard staff yelling at a small child probably two years old Something to note they are going through renovation. Perhaps will be better once complete. Also moving to a 15 baby infant room. Did not enroll. read more

Most of the reviews here are old so we took a chance and went for a tour. Right off the bat we felt that the front office was very cluttered and dirty, which isn't a good first impression for any business. The main security gate with the punch in code wouldn't close behind us and took our guide 3-4 tries to get the gate to actually latch. The playground was dirty (trash in the sand) and we noticed immediately that the gate leading away from the playground was wide open. The daycare center is located on the corner of two very busy streets so it's very disturbing that the gate was open. Not only could children easily make it to a street, anyone from the nearby street and bus stops could come in. The classrooms smelled bad and the playground for the smaller children was a joke. We later saw that one of the classrooms had a door to the bathroom that also had a door fully propped open to the playground- the same playground with the gate that was left open. We were told that there was always a teacher "right there" when the children used the bathroom but in the time we were there we saw a 3 or 4 year old go to the bathroom (with the door open to the playground) by themselves while the one teacher in the room was on the opposite end of the classroom, sitting down on the floor behind shelves, with what appeared from our angle to be no line of sight to what was happening in the bathroom. At the end of the tour we were given a price sheet with prices crossed out and higher prices hand written in. This facility did not seem to be clean or safe when we visited recently. We have since visited several other daycare facilities, all of which were cleaner and more secure. We did not enroll our child here so we can't comment on the quality of the teachers. read more

I have had a total of 6 children at child-time during the last few years, from a 1yr old to a 12yr old (for after school and summer care) and while nothing is going to be perfect all the time, i can say that Casey D. the director at this location is by far one of the best people i have seen in this kind of role. I work with charter schools in phoenix, tempe, mesa, and so while again, not perfect, this place far exceeds the average standards others uphold, and if they ever lose Casey I will pull all my kids out because she keeps that place running WELL When she is on vacation, you can TELL the DIFFERENCE ... its super hard to manage a staff who manages kids and make all parents and kids happy, and so I am pretty happy with the way she manages it all. I recommend this place also for the cleanliness, and caring they provide ... Ms. Ashley and Ms. Connie go ABOVE AND BEYOND to be great care providers to my group of crazy kids, and I appreciate them ALL! also note ... reviews who complain about kids having bites or bumps ... are you serious? do you have any idea how kids play and behave? kids are GOING TO GET HURT, no one can know how it always happened ... funny how people complain about not getting a call for petty things but if they did call and ask you to pick up your kid who ran and hit their head on a table and now has a bump and they want you to leave work and get them in case of concussion .. you would be mad too ... there is no winning/right way when a child hurts themselves! smdh read more

Please be sure to note the dates on some of these reviews. My daughter has attended childtime on glendale and 12th street since she was 1, she is now 4 1/2. I have always been highly impressed with the staff and care my daughter has received. When the director Kasey took over she made many changes, pin entry door and gate has been installed. She is very receptive to ideas on helping the school and kids improve. I once asked if she would help my daughter with learning about being cautious with strangers and she went above and beyond by setting up a safety week. Child time has parties for the kids and parents are always encouraged to join in. My daughter loves Kasey as well as each educator she has had. She begs me to take her to pre-k on her days off. Please consider touring child time, you wont be disappointed. read more

I really like how the staff were very welcoming us into the school. The building and playground were nice n clean. My daughter enjoys coming here, the school age class room helps her with her homework, they are served healthy snacks water available at all times. They encourage hand washing throughout the day. My daughter recently attendes the Childtime Daycare located at 1212 East Glendale Phoenix, AZ 85020. Although I was happy with the location, pricing and my daughter's teacher in the short time in which she attended from 5/12/2014 - 7/02/2014 I was extremely unhappy with the management of several situations. My daughter had a "bite" mark on her arm that I discovered and was never informed of until I inquired and even then the school did a shuffling act to get me the who, what, where and why this happened. And the true straw that broke the camels back is when I eye witnessed a child being smacked on the hand by the three-year old teacher Mary. Although I was told she was suspended, and the issue was investigated and even the first part of my experience was corroborated by the teacher excluding the slap she was still allowed to return to school. I'm disgusted that the eyewitness testimony of a parent would not be deemed critical enough to at the very least be cause to remove the teacher and place her at another institution. I am revenue non-DES assisted customer and deemed pure cash revenue and an active and involved engaged parent. Your teacher is an expense and an over liability. I will do whatever is in my power and rights to ensure that no other child is harmed and that all parents are aware of Childtime's inability to rectify the actions of their sub-par employees. read more

My nephews was taking away from their mom and into cps custody, it was huge change in our families life. At first we loved this place but as time went on we started noticing our two year old nose was never wiped. So much that you had to scape the dried up snot off with a warm rag and his shoes was always filled with sand with Little Rocks. He would walk around like that all day. The director of this location seemed to not like me for some reason and didn't really care that the cps not finding us in a timely manner to pay the re enrollment fee. I explain to her that cps found a program to help us pay for it and that they should have something in the mail to her. The following Monday they kick us out the girl in the office yelling and moving her head side to side as if we was in a street fight, I have never cried so hard and my foster kid was upset. This daycare is absolutely not the place for your children the only thing I will miss is the wonderful women in the infant room. Not only was my foster son neglected by their staff they caused more trauma for him cause he couldn't understand why he couldn't go in. If they was more professional or cared about the children they could've pulled me into an office instead of yelling, holding the door in front other parents. They treated me as if I was trash. CPS called the director and spoke with her, she said I don't about them and hung up on her. CPS was so upset they even filed a complaint against the company. read more
