I was stopped on 130th on aroura today (2/1) because of a man making threats and trying to come to me (information private, not going to say anything) while I was trying to go to work, and every one of the police offers were there to make sure that I was safe. This isn't the first time Seattle PD has came to save my day, and I am writing this review because I wanted to give thanks to the police officer that helped me. I didn't have time to grab names, but he was older, white bald and had a beard. Thank you.

The person who took our call was extremely nice and very helpful. She said there will be an officer coming over to come get a statement in person from me the owner. I'm thinking this is gonna be at least a couple hour wait. I was hoping it would be fast so I can get down to Burien where a credit card that was in the truck was attempted to get 120.00 in gas but got declined for incorrect pin! Next thing you know a cop rolls up!!! I'm thinking it's only been 15 mins!!! Please be him? You know you hear about all the defunding of police and all this other stuff about cops. IM TELLING YOU I ONLY WAITED 15 MINS! THE OFFICER WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT I NEED TO DO AND NOT DO, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE. He then wrote my case number on a card and told me where to reach out for questions. COULDNT OF GONE BETTER! I wish I looked at this outstanding officers name. I'll try to find it using my case # and I'll update!! Bottom line, I've been hearing all these horrible things about not so much our police but police around the US. So I was kinda expecting a little of what I've been hearing. NOT THIS OFFICER! AND NOT SEATTLE POLICE! Every word communicated was positive and efficient both on the phone and in person. THIS OFFICER WAS OUTSTANDING!! That was a huge relief to know SEATTLE is putting officers like this under their light bars! These people are HEROS! Just think of what they go through each and every day. These people are SEATTLES FINEST AND TRUE HEROS! Thank you for your service and professionalism! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

It is utterly forgettable and in fact, I have forgotten everything about it, except when I visit my neighborhood's biggest tourist draw, the Wedgwood Rock. "That's not a rock, THAT'S a rock!" Standing 19 feet tall and deposited by glacial ice sheets tens of thousands of years ago, the Wedgwood Rock is a humbling reminder of just how little control we humans have over our grand Mother Earth. According to Dr. Terry W. Swanson, of the UW Department of Geological Sciences, the Wedgwood Rock has its origins on Fidalgo Island, near Anacortes, about 75 miles north of Seattle. It was carried 75 miles and by ice sheets and then deposited in little old Wedgwood as the most recent ice age ended (source: http://bit.ly/WcjCNQ). Admittedly, the Wedgwood Rock doesn't quite rank up there with Seattle's top tourist draws, but it's always a lot of fun to take visitors on a drive by and watch their eyes bulge as we round the corner to 28th Ave NE and the rock comes into view. Kudos to the neighbors of the Wedgwood Rock who have assumed the role of caretakers for the iconic boulder, from enforcing the climbing ban, to gardening around it, to making sure graffiti gets cleaned up promptly. It's a bit ironic, of course, that the Wedgwood Rock isn't actually in the Wedgwood neighborhood, which is widely considered to encompass the boundaries of NE 95th St to NE 75th St, between 45th Ave NE on the east to a combination of Lake City Way, Ravenna Ave NE, and 25th Ave NE on the west (Source: http://bit.ly/Wcm6vI). Technically I suppose it would be the Ravenna neighborhood that the rock actually resides in. Still, that bit of trivia doesn't detract from the neighborhood's love for its most famous attraction, nor its appeal to young and old alike. Tip: While the Wedgwood Rock may be the neighborhood's largest and most famous glacial erratic, it is hardly the only one. Check out the Wedgwood Rock's modest sibling located in a tiny park known as Wedgwood Square at the corner of 31st Ave NE and NE 82nd Street.

I've read that this rock has a pretty rich history as a landmark for native americans, a picnic spot for families, a place for hippies to hang out and do drugs, etc... right now, however, it's just a big rock on the corner with houses all around... and apparently you get fined $100 if you're caught climbing it.

I visited Wedgwood postal office today to request a refund for a PM Express which has a money back…read moreguarantee if not delivered by the scheduled delivery date, which was the case with mine. I was told by a pleasant clerk this is not done in the local offices or online, he directed me to call customer service and they will issue my refund. I did this and was told that yes, the local offices can issue refunds and he should have done that. The customer service agent advised me to complete a refund request online or go to another local postal office to receive my refund. I chose to go to Lake City postal office where the postal clerk was well informed and efficient, having me complete a refund form and promptly refunded the cost of the PM express. Had I been helped at Wedgwood, my time would have been saved from calling USPS (waiting 15 minutes to speak to someone) and then having to go to Lake City for my refund.

A few rooms are available for reservations to host gatherings and meetings. The staff are friendly, responsive and helpful. The book selection is abundant and the space unparalleled! This was the second time I have received damaged mail. The first time was a bank statement that had…read morebeen opened, and then put inside a new envelope. The second time was this package, which the man at the counter said nothing about. I spun the box and commented on the hole to which he just shrugged and said it arrived like that. I've had to wait multiple days for packages to be sorted into my PO Box after they've arrived. I've had other peoples mail put in my PO Box. I only post on yelp when the problem is beyond a single experience.
