I never expected a junk haul to end in a group hug. If you want a team that treats your home, your…read morebelongings, and you with real respect, this is who to call. Five stars don't feel like enough. Their commitment to treating people and belongings with respect and zero judgment drew us to them initially; that promise held up completely in person. The fees were very reasonable and the experience was great from start to finish. I got an appointment within a day and a half; the appointment time window was only 30 min (practically unheard of!); they texted confirming their actual ETA and arrived on schedule; and they were kind, careful, and efficient. They'd already exceeded expectations, but at the end, they volunteered to move some heavy items I wasn't getting ride of into the garage. One grabbed a broom while in the garage and swept fallen leaves and sticks away from the entrance. Another grabbed a hand truck (with permission) and stacked a few bags of compost on it so it would be easier for me to move it around the yard. They were so observant and thoughtful. By the time they left, they'd practically turned into motivational speakers, showing a level of kindness and encouragement that made me genuinely felt cared for. I truly couldn't be happier.

Way more than I could put on the curb. It was raining and two days just before New Year's and these two women came the morning after I contacted them! Cost $175! It's rare when the price I imagine is the price I get. No surprises, very reasonable. I chose Mary and Michelle because they not only take your garbage but also donate worthwhile items to the homeless in your stead. Very sweet women and very fair service!

Just a shame how the service is, they also leave stuff on the ground if they "miss" the truck as they are dumping the bins... So neighbors and myself obviously have to pick up the mess left behind. Our trash service was switched from Waste Management to Shackleford last year. At first I was…read moreexcited because they offered recycling pickup, but each time we put the container out it was never picked up. We kept getting told it would get picked up but it wasn't until my husband said he was throwing their bin onto our burn pile did they come and get the recycling container. Needless to say we canceled the recycling service. A second issue we have had with them is their poor communication with their customers. We put our trash out in the morning around 7 am, not the night before because we do not like food left in the containers over night in the summer temperatures, and we have never missed a trash pick-up. Yesterday our cans were out there all day and when my husband went to bring them back in they were still full the next morning! We called and were told the truck had gone by for pickup at 6:54 am...never has it come that early! So we asked if they could do a special pickup, they said they had to aske the supervisor and would let us know either way. That was at 7:30 in the morning and they don't call us back until 4pm!! (By then we had already figured out they weren't coming to get the trash). The lady said they could not get our trash because it wasn't the drivers fault, but she was letting us know now that the route was changed because of road closures. Oh! Well why wasn't that stated when we called about the pickup in the morning? Or even more importantly...why don't you communicate this kind of information with your customers via text or email of you are going to change the route times?? Just a little customer consideration would be nice.
