We have been very pleased with Children's Learning Adventure since we first walked in to a open house. We were looking for a daycare center for our twin toddlers where we could only put them in for three days a week and are so happy that we found this place. The entire front staff has been so kind and welcoming to my apprehensive toddlers. Our kids love their teachers, Ms. Key and Ms. Becca so much so that they wake up in the morning and ask for Ms. Key and Ms. Becca.They are very, very kind and patient with my kids who are not quite used to being away from mom and dad and scream every time at drop off. The entire staff is very welcoming and pay attention to the "students" and kids in their care. Front desk staff know my kids names and welcome them in to the school every morning by name. We are so happy to have found this place and definitely have recommended it to a couple of our friends who are looking for childcare in the area. read more

Ms. Amanda is absolutely amazing. You can tell she is so passionate about what she does and genuinely cares about the kids there. She always went above and beyond! Overall, we had a positive experience at CLA and loved a lot about it -- from the monthly themes that the curriculum is as designed around, the homework, monthly events for the kids and families. My only concern is the amount of turnover amongst the teachers and floaters we saw in the 9 months our son was there. This is hard and inconsistent for the little ones. read more

Don't waste your money or time. Looks are definitely deceiving. My son had three different teachers within just three months. Upper management shows zero accountability or leadership--especially VP Carla and Amanda. The staff seems unhappy, and the overall environment is cold and unwelcoming. I was lied to and felt deliberately misled. Worst of all: they served my child food that made him sick and then sent him home. When I complained, VP Carla dismissed it--said "it's not normal" for kids to get sick from foods they've never had, yet supposedly "noted" his food restrictions. They served him a tuna melt, mixed vegetables, applesauce, and milk. He's 4 years old! This place is not safe, not trustworthy, and clearly not caring. I regret enrolling him here. read more

What a wonderful childcare center!!!! The high quality of care and education are impressive. The center itself has such a friendly and warm vibe. The folk are happy to be working there and smiling when engaging with the children. My daughter had gotten hands feet and mouth disease. Prior to that has gotten several scratches on her face and a bruise on her forehead. This daycare is one of the only facilities in the valley that I would entrust with my children. We came in and toured the building which is gorgeous. We met with the Education Specialist, Amanda Brown, who was very knowledgeable! I was nervous about how my 15 month old would react since this is her first time away from me and Amanda was extremely patient, answering all of my questions and so kind and understanding of my anxiety. She emailed me photos of my daughter and checked in on her often just to reassure me that she was doing well! The director, April, is one of the main reasons I feel safe with this daycare. She is very friendly and personable but also direct with a no bullshit attitude. She answered all of my many questions with honesty which is so refreshing! Every time she sees me, she acknowledges me with a smile and always asks how my baby is doing. Christina was also super friendly and greets my family just as warmly! I have to say, I'm very happy with my daughter's teachers, Anna and Shawn as well. They are both very kind and got down on her level to play with her. One morning, my daughter was not wanting to let go of me and didn't want me to leave. Anna was sitting with another child holding her but opened her arms for my baby to approach her while Shawn was helping me try to play with her so she would feel comfortable before I left. I didn't feel rushed by them at all. They took the time to help my baby feel safe before I left and weren't annoyed or bothered by her fussiness. All in all, wonderful staff and wonderful building! By far the worst place I have EVER TOOK My KIDS. Let's start by saying first impression is everything. One of the teachers (I can't remember them name) asked me if my child who has excema was contagious. Second off they put my 3 year old in a class with all 4 and 5 year olds and told me sorry I didn't know how old he was. With all the paperwork you would think they have you fill out with date of birth and age you would think they would read it. They then moved my 3 year old to a class with more kids his age which was fine. The teacher in that class started off good but ended up horrible. Everyday I went in that class Ms.Shae was all over the place. Kids peeing on the floor, play doh everywhere it was no structure at all till Ms.Raven took over. Then it comes to my 1 year old class Ms. Ana and Ms. Elizabeth are amazing. But the subs when they go to lunch are horrible. My kids barely went there for 2 months and they were consistently asking for diapers and wipes. I purposely took a bunch of diapers and wipes 2 days ago I go in today to take my kids out and never go back. I asked for the diapers and once again they told me they had none for him. April the direction is HORRIBLE, she has a thing against BLACK PEOPLE AND THERE KIDS. You take a problem to her and she always ask to give her time to get to the bottom of it and it never get handled. I honestly don't see her lasting there too much longer. The entire staff give or take a few are horrible they don't speak. They constantly call you to tell you it's something wrong with your child so they can get sent home for 3 days and still get paid. The teachers are lazy and don't care about the kids at all. I honestly hope they close this location it should have been left as Creme De La Creme. Or at least GET RID OF APRIL. She needs to go to an area where it's mostly white kids because apparently she can't handle BLACK KIDS. For the amount of money you pay for this daycare and the little to no service or respect you get is crazy. Honestly if I could give this school negative stars I would. WORST SCHOOL AND STAFF EVER. My son is in Ms. Shae & Heathers class, he absolutely loves them. Some days he has bad days like we all do & they know just how to deal with him. He amazes me when he comes home, knowing new things they teach him. My daughter is in Mrs.Yessi's class. We love Mrs. Yessi, we actually followed her to this daycare. We are beyond thankful for all that she does. it's hard finding daycares & most importantly people that you trust with your kids. As for the director Mrs.April she always warm welcoming & helpful. This place sure fools u with the curb appeal, but walk inside and have your son scared to go to class because he is being sexually harassed by other kids that think it's fine to touch him "below the belt" as mngmnt says. A boy walked in on him peeing and grabbed him down there. My son was disgusted. Oh we cover it up because the mom of the boy works at the front desk. Sweep sweep. O let me add muffins for moms a lil 5 year old girl had to spill the beans that the same boy that thinks it is awesome to touch my son "below the belt" SPIT in his water bottle and when I brought it to the directors attention she said oh this is my first time hearing about it I'll look into it. NO Ma'am yall will replace that water bottle. Weeks went by we got a cheaper water bottle than the picture I had shown them. Oh how they blatantly disrespect the teachers and belittle them. Oh how it is okay for the directors son to be saying the N word and she sticks up for them. We also paid extra for my son to be in a certain program and I would constantly find him in the little kid class because his teacher had too many kids assigned. His teachers were amazing tho. My daughter has been in the toddler program for 3 weeks now. We absolutely love it. Previously she was at KinderCare and was sick every other week if not every week. The classes at KinderCare were severely crowded and didn't have a curriculum. Now, my daughter comes home with art work and is learning Spanish and sign language. She's hasn't been sick once and the security at children's learning adventure gives me peace of mind. We recently started potty training and her teachers and the staff made sure that what we were teaching at home was implemented while she is at daycare as well. I have been meaning to write this review for awhile. My children were going to CLA since they first opened their doors. My kids were the first kids enrolled and the only kids going M-F from 9-530 for almost 2 weeks. My daughter was in the toddler program for 3yr olds and my son was in the infant program. I used to enjoy this school and participated in every activity they had at the school. I came in to pick up my littles one evening and was approached by the director of the program asking if we could have a quick conversation. I agreed and stepped into one of the empty rooms by the front desk. She leaves then reappears with a cop. The cop comes into the room asking if me and him could have a chat. I'm confused but agreed. The cop stated that he was called to come up here at this particular time because it was claims of child abuse. I asked for more detail and he claim he didn't have much but will find out more once his partner shows up. Me and the cop stated for a while and chatted until his partner and now CPS showed up. They took turns leaving the room to find out more information about the child abuse claims. Apparently my 3yr old teacher claims there were marks on my daughter's butt that had to be abuse. Mind you my daughter has extremely bad eczema and very sensitive skin, I dropped her off that morning to school after noticing she had a allergic reaction to Pampers pull ups that she had wore most of the day before and overnight. It didn't seem to bother her so I took her to school (CLA). I told all of this to the cops and the CPS worker. After siting with the cops for 2.5hrs and feeling so embarrassed because other parents that I have spoken to almost everyday were walking by the no privacy windows and staring. I was finally told I can take my kids and go home. The cops said out their mouths that this was the most ridiculous called they have ever gotten in their 19 and 16 year careers. How they know what abuse looks like and what was going on was not abuse.They turned off their bodycams and gave me the longest hugs because of how upset and embarrassed I was. The front office staff wouldn't even look me in my eyes as I went to gather my kids. They called CPS on me for some BULLSHIT. My kids are foster kids that are already in the system, so they don't look like me nor have the same skin color. I have been told by multiple teachers in CLA that my kids are the best dressed plus best smelling kids in school. Of course because I take damn good care of any kid in my household doesn't matter if I gave birth to them or not. Even though I am still bothered by the whole ordeal a month later I can say the teachers in the infant program were some of the most sweetest ladies I ever met and I'm glad they still keep in contact with me. Even after everything they were the only ones to apologize about everything that happened even though they had nothing to do with it. If there was a option to give the school/location 0 stars I would. Because even though I love the infant program teachers, the office staff could have handled everything better and could have at least apologize for the assumptions. I would not recommend enrolling your kids into this school if one they don't look like you (skin color) and two if they have skin conditions. Because you might just get CPS called on you!!! read more

Normally they care here but this morning my 2 year old was throwing an epic tantrum and I was late and no one helped at the front desk. I needed a tissue for her snot covered nose (from throwing a tantrum) and when I asked all they said was "nope it's empty" didn't even try to get me some toilet paper or say can I help or anything. I got completely ignored. Then when I asked if she could stay up front for five minutes so I could maybe try not to be late for work they said "nope" again can't even help for 5 minutes. I had already seen her teacher and she said she would be able to get her up front in a minute. It was awful. I felt completely overwhelmed and alone in a building full of child educators and carers. read more

Having experienced several other schools with my two older children I really love this one. Just walking in the door with my toddler and seeing the joy on her face gives such a sense of relief...no more guilt or anxiety!!! Been at this daycare for over two years and we love it. They have been very accommodating with our work/school schedules for both my husband and I, and our kids. They also accept NACCRA, which is huge for us since we are active duty. There needs to be more of these daycares all over town because they're better than any other daycare I've been to since 2012, without having to pay private school prices. read more

My son loved going to school here! Ms. Aneatra made my son feel loved. Any time I brought something to them to consider, they met with me and were open to my ideas and suggestions. My son learned to sing the ABC song and enjoyed all the friends that he made. Ms. Aneatra made great progress in potty training my son. We chose this school after my son experienced a great deal of neglect at a prior school and we were so grateful with the love the care that was shown here by ALL the staff. I felt safe and never worried about dropping him off. He went from crying and sobbing at drop offs and pick ups (and being starving) at the prior school to running into Ms. Aneatra and playing with his friends not even missing me! Not worth the money. Took my daughter in for a day and not even an hour goes by and my girlfriend gets a call that my daughters face had a "little scratch" when I get there to pick her up she was crying hysterically ( wasn't because of the scratch) in the corner by herself 2 employees there and nothing.. asked front desk what do they do when this happens and all they do is notify the parents. And I get it things like this are going to happen but I didn't like the repercussions. What's to keep it from happening on a daily bases? Didn't hear of a timeout if my daughter did that a timeout is justified. The little girl that scratched her face was mad because my daughter didn't want to give her a hug. What if she never wants to hug her? She doesn't have to give out a hug. And I wonder how long they use the cry it out method before attending to a toddler. New, clean, organized, and is broken down between different levels and rooms of teachings. *Location - close to our home *Teachers & teacher's aid are nice/humble - see cons too *Arts class/teachings. Very creative art work made by our child :) *Food provided, but see Cons (pro/con to food provided). Parents don't have to worry about cooking/putting together a lunch, snacks or drinks, but... *Play/playground. Kids seem to enjoy their play areas. CONS: *Curriculum is sub-par: "Brain Based" which seems interesting at first, but this place is a glorified day care facility. *Teachers: Usually only 1 teacher. She doesn't stay the entire day. Then, kids are with "teacher's aid". They are nice, but definitely not teachers and lack a lot of education, communication, and training skills. Going back to... this is more of a day care type of facility. If you are looking to have your kids obtain a decent education based program, this place may not meet your expectations as it did not meet ours. *Staff coordination, communication, and friendliness. Seems as though our children and their parents are treated as a number, especially with administrative staff. *Not greatest environment for child napping - lights do not dim, other students awake and distributing other children needing to nap. If your child needs a nap and is sensitive to noise, you may want to reconsider or have an important conversation with the staff prior to enrollment. We had many conversations with admin staff/teacher/teacher's aid before our child started napping every time. *Spanish is only taught on certain days, but if your child is only attending certain days, you may want to coordinate those days with the type of curriculum they are teaching. I don't want to get into too much detail here, but there was a lot of miscommunication regarding this and we were highly disappointed to see the lack of Spanish and sign language emphasis here as originally discussed prior to enrollment. *Food-kids have nut allergies therefore, kids do not get nuts and the nutritional content they do receive is sub-par. Sometimes our child has come home to find out that she ate high glycemic foods only (pineapple, etc.). A bunch of sugars (fruit), carbs (cheese/bread, etc.), etc. We liked the other school where we were able to control the food our child eats and knew if our child didn't eat certain foods, etc. Not sure if they are good at creative ways to get children to eat their food/snacks. Check out the meal menu they have, not the greatest choices. *Tuition here is not very competitive and can be costly in comparison to other "schools". What parents pay in terms of teachers, education, etc. is not worth the cost. Don't recommend this facility for parents for great emphasis to education prior to pre-k, maybe for after school program or summer type of enrollment. read more

This "preschool" has not impressed me the last years my daughter has attended there. The only reason I hadn't taken her out of this daycare is because I have wanted my husband to take the reigns. The teachers are nice and pleasant, but the staff at the front desk are always rude when I ask a question. I'm tired of being treated like I'm an idiot when I ask a question. I am updating my review regarding the incompetent staff (April) that has not had a "moment to process our refund," yet has a moment to run our FULL tuition every month on the 1st of every month. The director also promised us a summer packet so we could think about bringing her back in the Fall. That seemed to be pushed aside as well. This child care center only cares about making money & not following the curriculum advertised online. I am very disappointed and my daughter will not be returning in the Fall. So far so good! My daughter has been going to CLA for about 2.5 months now (infant program) and I have nothing but nice things to say. My daughter eats and sleeps with no problem and she's always smiling when I pick her up. Sometimes I call just to check on her throughout the day and they never seem to mind or act annoyed when I call. And if I ever have a concern or something I need help with, April is always super attentive and gets it taken care of. And she remembers whose mom I am so that's always a nice feeling! The teachers are all nice but Miss Maggie is my favorite. You can tell my daughter likes spending time with her because she always smiles when I hand her off to Miss Maggie in the morning. It's expensive but what daycare isn't? And in my opinion you get what you pay for! read more

What can I say since 2014 we have had my little boy in 4 different daycares losing hope in finding a good one. Then we enrolled our child into children's learning adventure and this daycare has completely exceeded our expectations. We were having an issue with my child and one of the class rooms and the director and the staff heard what we had to say and within 24 the staff was already assessing the situation making changes as they seen fit. Not only is the director very compassionate about what she is doing but she has one heck of a staff that supports her, the school, and most of all the children. I said every diaper change apply ointment, CLA DID NOT! Then why the hell did I fill out paperwork! I spend my hard earned money to buy my child clothes, bibs, and sleeper covers, CLA SENDS OTHER CHILDRENS' CLOTHES, BIBS, AND SLEEPER COVERS HOME WITH ME! Best of all, my child comes home with other baby's bottles. All this was mentioned to the manager, and apology after apology after apology my child is being withdrawn and I am spending $265 a week somewhere else! SPEAKING OF MONEY, if you want to take a 3 week vacation make sure you save 3 weeks of daycare expenses. ($265x3= $795 in addition to plane tickets, hotels, etc. WOW!!!!) That's right folks, if you want that warm and fuzzy that you child has the elusive SPOT held, then be ready to dish out money for every week your child isn't there. Go down the street to lets say Le Petite Academy and they only charge you half tuition every week, NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

CLA is Awesome! The staff is friendly and customer service driven. My 7 And 6 year olds love the before and after school program. They rave about the culinary snacks they get to create, the interactive games, theater area, and the inside gym. I absolutely love their homework program. My little ones and I signed a homework contract specific to our needs. This helps the kids and school understand parents expectation for homework. I have 2 children (one in the infant room and one in the toddler room) and we LOVE CLA! The front office staff and teachers welcome my children every day with a smile and are genuinely happy to see them. My toddler loves daily circle time, the art projects, and music and movement time. She is excited to walk in her classroom every morning! My infant loves going to his room as well! He starts bouncing up and down and smiles when he sees his teachers! The teachers in both rooms ask about my children on a personal level - likes, dislikes, behaviors, routines, etc. I feel like I have a personal nanny! Ms. Brittany, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Elizabeth, and Ms. Asia are wonderful teachers and my kids love seeing them every day! We have been at CLA since it opened 2/2015. We love the director admin staff and teachers! They are truly the best! Any concerns have always been alleviated and taken very seriously when the need arises. These are our children and CLA always ensures they are taken care of very well. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend this day care/pre school and pre k. We have grown with this school and really try to be involved in the functions that CLA chooses, i.e. the food drive and book drive most recently. Facility is amazing however the service not so great!! We signed our kids up prior to the facility being open (1 & 3 year old) we did the mistake of signing up and putting down our deposit before actually seeing how the environment is on its normal hours! So there goes $300 to hold both spots- The first day we took our son (mind you it's his first time in daycare) of course he cried however when I was walking him in, the class seemed outnumbered by kids, as well as there was another child crying. Assuming it was normal I left him and walked around the facility for a good 20 minutes then later left. I called 2 hours later and asked the status on how he's doing and they said he was perfectly fine and participating. As we picked him up he was crying, assuming it's just bc it's something he's not use to. However when we noticed the same child crying from when we dropped him off, the teacher had said "OH HE ALWAYS CRIES" immediately I felt well isn't it your job to make him stop or maybe comfort him? Then I thought what if that's my child. So not wanting to get involved we left. The 2nd day as I walk him in the teacher immediately says did they tell you how long he cried yesterday? When I replied, no! She then began to tell me how he cried the entire time and at a point he threw up. Then as I asked what time, expressing I had called hours after and they assured me he was fine she had said he was throwing up as I was still there! This just threw me off and got me upset at the fact that it wasn't brought to my attention! Having that it's his first week I'm expecting to pick him up earlier, but when I called and they assured me everything was great I then allowed him to stay longer. The 3rd day as I walk him in his teacher again expresses to me how much he cried and wouldn't stop! I then just started to have concerns mainly with the small things. Instead of a warm good morning greeting it was always "did they tell you how long he cried?" Realizing the small things made us realize it wasn't the school we wanted him to take part in. So that was his last day! Once speaking to the director it was then when we were told that he was in a higher class with older kids in which my son was a year behind. We decided to go with a family based preschool that values our child's needs versus a facility that we felt only valued the profit!
