My daughter had seen Dr. Seetin a few times, and we sometimes felt he was a little cold and judgmental. The staff was usually very friendly though. I tried to reschedule an appointment and was told that they save appointment times for certain ages, and are not able to accommodate afternoon appointments for younger children. It was strange since we'd always had afternoon appointments. It seems like there was a miscommunication with the staff, but it seems odd to me that you wouldn't allow for afternoon appointments to any younger children as it would limit your ability to see those children if their parents have limited availability. With the previous issues and this new staff issue with conflicting information, I'd no longer recommend seeing this practice. read more

What is there not to love about this dentist office and Dr. Seetin? We had a wonderful experience for my daughter's first trip to the dentist. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The waiting room was incredibly clean with fun decorations that my daughter loved. Dr. Seetin is so kind and gentle. He knows how to approach babies to not 'spook' them. The staff follow covid safety protocol. I cannot recommend Children's Dental Center enough! read more

I like the dentist although I believe she is more suited toward younger kids. She takes good care of all our dental needs and when it was time to be referred she referred us to both oral surgeon on orthodontist. We have come here since my child was about 5. 10 years later we will look for a dentist for a young adult. I would recommend this dentist to younger kids. She does a good job making them feel comfortable. The front desk lady is a little abrupt and we have yet to receive a reminder post card. But they always ask if we have. So I actually have a mixed review on this office. Dentist is great. Front desk not so much. And the waiting room is uncomfortable and kinda cold. On a good note the do have free wifi. So while waiting for your child you can yelp the dental office. read more

Our family consists of two young girls. Our oldest is 10 years old and has been receiving her dental care here since 2015, when the practice was still under Dr. O. The front office, staff then and now, are amazing and welcoming. Now that the practice has switched hands into Dr. Settin's ownership, I continue to be amazed at the professionalism of every staff member. Our youngest is a rambunctious 5.5 year old who is affected by Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder. She has a great deal of anxiety when around new people and overall just at the dentist or doctors office. Dr. Seetin is incredibly patient and compassionate with his patients. He takes his time to answer all questions and concerns. Our family will continue seeing Dr. Seetin for as long as we live here in Washington. read more

They think of everything! Our little guy recently had to have a tooth removed and did great. The adults were a mess, but he was relaxed and breezed through the procedure with no after effects whatsoever. His regular check ups are very different than those at his previous dentists; these have no tears or anxiety and he really enjoys all the extras like things to look at, videos to watch, and toys to think about. Children's Dental Center is hands-down the best dentist that you could ever send your child to. My son is 4 years old and he loves going to the dentist because of how comfortable they make him feel and how much fun he has with all the kid-friendly stuff that they provide for him to have a good time. He most recently hurt his front tooth and had to get it pulled out. They were so good with him that he didn't even cry! Now that's pretty incredible if you ask me! They are also very good at explaining all the steps of the procedure to the parents so that they can feel comfortable about what's going to happen. It's the perfect balance of professionalism and caring that sets this dental office apart from the rest! I recently moved to the area from out of state. I've chosen to read reviews to select doctors, dentists and even find a new hair dresser. I chose to start taking my kids to see Dr Ortuzar due to the fact that she seemed to have decent reviews and a really nice clean office and friendly staff. We originally went to get a six month cleaning done and when my 10 year old daughter had ex rays taken and it was apparent that she had a impacted tooth. The next step from there was to get the tooth above it pulled due to the discomfort the new impacted tooth under it was causing. My daughter was already apprehensive and nervous about it which is totally natural. The doctor has no bedside manner, she's passive aggressive, my daughter was a trooper tho and we kept the course to getting it pulled. Before the tooth was pulled the doctor shuffled me to the front desk to pay for it while she started the numbing and gassing process on my daughter. I came back into the room to hold my daughters hand while the pulling started to take place and I realized that she was clearly not gassed and relaxed for it. Anyone could see that! She has had the gas before in the past for fillings and was completely relaxed and ready. I asked the doctor if the gas was working and she brushed me off saying yes and that it was because my daughter had anxiety about getting it pulled. Well that was BS because the minute she pulled the tooth my daughter felt it and yelled so I yelled at the Dr to stop and she did. My money was refunded back to me and we left, I am completely beside myself about the whole thing and how it went down. I feel horrible that I diden't listen to the voice in my head alerting me that something was off. I cried in the car on the way home I felt so bad. It could have been handled differently and I will not be going back to this office and would not recommend this doctor to anyone. read more

i didn't know where to take my 5 yr old daughter to the dentist. I googled and found this place. I called and asked if we could get in around 2pm so my husband could bring her in and if not if she could please recommend a place since my child was in pain. And the lady already sounded annoyed... The recptionist took all my info including SSN to look up my insurance info which was fine but after talking to me for a good 10 minutes or so informed me she could get her in only 30 mins from the time we were talking. I said I couldn't because I was working but her dad could around 2 (like I said right off the bat in the beginning).She insists with a nasty attitude that I should leave work now and get my child in. And kept asking me "WHY" I just can't leave!? As I tried to explain all she did was cut me off! First off I don't answer to you and I'm working (I work retail and I was the only manager on duty all day and there was no one to cover for me). After she kept talking to me nasty I politely said never mind thank you and hung up. First impressions when taking your child somewhere are important to parents and I'm glad I didn't go because Alderwood Smiles who spoke to me like a normal human being with no judgement and worked with the time I had were fantastic and not insulting like this place according to other reviews as well. I wish someone could've heard that receptionist speaking to me. So unprofessional. read more

Do not trust their estimate billing. We had work done on my 4 year old and when given the estimate I REPEATEDLY asked if this was the TOTAL amount done in November 2014. Jump to 2015 and they call saying we owe them another $500.00 on our bill for THEIR mistake. Do not trust this office. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

Good facility, good with kids, and flexible in scheduling appointments. Shortly after our last appointment we failed to return 2 or 3 messages left by the scheduler for a follow up appointment within 7 to 10 days of the message. The reason for this lack of responsiveness; at the time I had just lost my job, we were going through some major changes in our life, changing schools, and so on. I admit that we should have returned the calls and I expressed this when I did call back, however the harsh response, lack of care, and rude-blunt tone from the scheduler expressing they no longer want us as a customer was over the top and a very poor business practice. I could tell that the scheduler who I was talking to enjoyed and almost felt vindicated in declining my family through this conversation, which made the call all the more disappointing. I admit the fault in not returning the calls as soon as possible, however given the nature of our situation, the fact we were not in debt to the practice, and were not causing the practice to lose money in any way, I don't feel it was warranted to decline us as a client or the way it was communicated with no regard to the situation. As a result of this I will make it a point to inform everyone I know about this experience and HIGHLY recommend against taking your kids to this office. read more

Our children have seen Dr Ortuzar and the staff at Children's Dental Center for over 15 years. She is OUTSTANDING! In fact, I don't know of many w children in the area who don't take their children to Dr Ortuzar. She makes what could be a challenging experience very comfortable for children as well as parents. She is gentle, considerate, interactive, and has clinically top notch skills. With her whole child emphasis, she provides an outstanding clinical experience in an interactive and fun environment. Her ability to meet the needs from toddler years to the teen years is spot on. The staff at Children's Dental Center are excellent. Most have been there for years and remember nearly every single patient and make their experience comfortable and even fun. My oldest child had a very rough first dental experience at a general dentist in the area, and after that I decided to find a pediatric dentist. I found Dr. Ortuzar (7 years ago), and although she was not in my dental network at the time I decided to try. It was so much better that we have been going there ever since! She is great with the kids, along with all of her staff, they make my kids feel very comfortable, they have no anxiety at all and actually look forward to each dentist appointment... thanks so much! read more

This place is a complete scam. I would never recommend to anyone to go there. They exploit children because they will want to charge you for things you don't need. I was told that my daughter needs 6 out of 6 root canals. When I asked to see x-rays to show me where the roots are and where the cavities are. The dentist showed me two xrays and then stopped. I went to get second opinion and my daughter only needs fillings. This place gave me an estimate $3700 for 6 cavities and I actually paid $1200 for 6 cavities at a different place. DO NOT GO THERE.
