It's located right in front of the Florida Mall, so there was plenty of parking, but they also offered a valet service which was very helpful. I like that it is a 2-floor open concept so you still feel connected to what's happening downstairs, but you're able to break up the crowd a bit. I believe there were about 400 people in attendance and it never felt overly congested. I can definitely see this becoming a popular wedding and party venue and there are so many ways to get creative with the space and tailor it to your individualized needs. It may seem like an odd sight in the middle of the park, but in fact it used to exist in a line of historic homes that were taken down for the park expansion. Now it sits alone, right off of the walking path surrounding the Lake. The home is lovely and features a sunroom, living room, parlor, outdoor terrace, upstairs area with a balcony, bridal changing room, and more. Recently I went for a lunch meeting in their upstairs space, the Summerlin Room ($75/hr rental with a 2 hr min). It was a lovely spot and fit our group of fifteen perfectly. I'll admit that I had been to the house once before to help with another event and the room wasn't set to the specifications agreed upon so we had to move and reset the chairs and tables right before the meeting. I remember the event organizer was quite annoyed... Hopefully it was a fluke! Side note- There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This is worth mentioning in case your event includes someone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair. As I was heading out I stopped in a room by the front and appreciated the array of pamphlets set up- ranging from history of the house to an Orlando biking map. There were also tourist pamphlets with the typical attractions (presumably for out of town guests of weddings of meetings). Overall, this is a beautiful meeting/event space that is priced reasonably and located in the heart of the city.

You really can't get a more picturesque spot than this. On the day we visited the flowers were blooming and swans wandered the grounds. Today the house is owned by the City of Orlando and they rent it for reasonable rates for private events like parties and weddings. A full listing of the prices can be found on their website. In addition the house has a welcome center and park offices. On the day I visited the house was closed and I could only peak through the windows. This looks like a fabulous venue for weddings and outdoor parties on the lawn.

From an intimate 7 person dinner party to a literary function with a stage and full house- this flex-space has functioned well and left people with lots of share-worthy moments. In terms of a venue there's the advantage of a small kitchen as well as storage space that is closed off from the main area. Additionally, there is a parking lot that services the warehouses and that is largely unused in the evening. I love the space and am always excited to attend events hosted there, if only just to see how they will arrange it and decorate it!

Though getting in to the building and up to the right floor is a bit of a process, the view that awaits is worth every head scratch. This is truly a Balcony, but much larger than you'd imagine. They've used the space for cocktail parties, seated dinners, weddings, fitness events, and I imagine a photo shoot or two. The space is available for rent, and I've made a point to take a tour (which you can schedule any time) to check it out when they didn't have an active event happening. The indoor space you'd walk thru for The Balcony is actually a marketing agency. I haven't been in several months, but it doesn't seem to provide a lot of weather backup space, so one thing to note. **1 Star**…read more Unfortunately, our experience with Diamond Event Venue for my sister's quinceañera was very disappointing. From the beginning, we repeatedly asked about the decorations and what would be included with the package we paid for. We were consistently told to look at their Instagram and were told that we would discuss the decorations about three months before the event. When we finally met to discuss everything, we were surprised to find out that many of the decorations we wanted would cost extra, even though the package we originally chose included the venue and decorations. We understand that additional decorations can have an additional cost, but we were not given clear examples of what decorations were actually included in our package. We also felt pressured to upgrade to another package that we did not want. In the end, we paid more for the decorations we wanted. Unfortunately, the decorations on the day of the quinceañera did not look anything like what we expected or what we had discussed. We specifically wanted large, beautiful bows and even sent pictures showing the size and style we wanted. What we received were very small balloon bows that looked extremely cheap compared to what we paid for. For such an important event, this was very disappointing. Another issue was the way the owner interacted with our guests. We were told that she needed to be at the venue the entire time, which we completely understood. However, she sat directly in front of the entrance for most of the event with a very unwelcoming attitude. Several of our guests commented that they felt uncomfortable and judged by her and her employee. We even offered them food and drinks because we wanted everyone working the event to feel comfortable and welcomed. Things became even more frustrating when we were told there were more guests than we had paid for. We were repeatedly told that people kept coming through the doors. This was not accurate. We had several teenagers and children who were going outside to look at sport cars and then coming back inside. They were already part of our invited guests. Everyone had a seat, and no one was standing because there were not enough seats. When the dancing started, everyone was seated and enjoying the event. Despite this, our security deposit was withheld because of the claim that we had more guests than we paid for. We strongly disagree with that claim and do not believe it was a fair reason to keep our deposit. We have rented from **Imperial Design Hall** in the past, and our experience with them was completely different. They were amazing, professional, and we never had any issues with them. **I 100% recommend Imperial Design Hall.** The only reason we chose Diamond Event Venue this time was because we wanted something closer to us. Looking back, we should have just driven the extra distance and stayed with a venue that we already knew was professional and reliable. This was supposed to be a very special day for our family, and unfortunately, dealing with this venue added unnecessary stress. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Diamond Event Venue. If you are considering booking with them, make sure you get everything regarding your package, decorations, additional charges, guest count, and security deposit clearly documented in writing before your event.

Literally, everything is in place to hold a spectacular event here. The lighting, the tables, the chairs, everything can be run from the back of the house, the loading area is convenient, everything to make a top notch, glamourous gathering. Being an event planner and experiencing sound quality issues at other event venues, the sound system is built in here with such precision that 80% of the music is output on the dance floor and 20% around the perimeter so conversations can take place and when announcements are made, the output reverses. Genius. This space is truly something to be experienced to get the full effect of it's beauty and forward thinking flow.
