Nearly two years ago, while researching daycares, I discovered Hope Day School. Initially, I had a…read morelist of several schools, which I narrowed down based on proximity, public reviews, and reported incidents. From the outset, something about the photos shared online and philosophies on Hope's website resonated with me. After touring many schools, Hope felt warm and inviting. The Executive Director and Assistant Director took the time to get to know our family and share their holistic approach and comprehensive curriculum, which includes nature, art, spirituality, nutrition, and open-ended play. Observing families dropping off their children gave me comfort as a first-time mom. My husband and I left with a strong, positive feeling. We applied to a few schools and ultimately chose Hope. It was the practical choice due to cost, availability, and location, but more importantly, it felt right.   A year later, our daughter still lights up when she arrives in the morning and eagerly reaches out to her teachers. She explores, learns, and socializes, and it's been a joy to watch her grow alongside the same group of children. The teachers are attentive and truly get to know each child individually. The chef prepares excellent meals, and I love seeing my daughter try a variety of healthy vegetables.   We have also enjoyed getting to know the other parents better. The director of the center, Della Gallegos and her staff have provided my children with such a loving, caring, and nurturing environment that has left a positive effect on each of them. I will be forever grateful to them for all of their efforts to ensure that my children had the best possible daycare experience a child could have. When I was going to pull the children from the daycare due to a short-term financial crisis, this daycare really stepped up. They were not concerned about the weekly fees, only the welfare of the children, and therefore, there was no interruption of services due to my inability to pay. She has said since my daughter last attended this daycare they have hired a new director and they have spent over 3 years becoming a nationally accredited preschool with the help of Educational First Steps. Things maybe different now since my daughter last attended this daycare. Let me make it clear for the people that keep sending me private messages. I am not out of line for posting an honest review. As I posted on my review this happened a FEW YEARS AGO. The review I posted on here is what I experienced AT THE TIME my child attended this daycare. My daughter attended this daycare a few years back. I must say it is not what I expected. It came highly recommended from my daughters therapist. This is the only reason I took her there. The first day I dropped her off and when we picked her up she was screaming and crying like I've never seen her do before. I thought well it's probably because she doesn't know the people there. So I let her stay there for another week or so. She came out crying out of that place each day. I thought to myself something must be going on for her not to want to be there. Sure enough one day we picked her up and she was crying. She told us that the teacher had smacked her on the hand. Also she had a very expensive gold bracelet on that would only be able to be taken off by pushing a pin in the lock to unlock it. Guess what she came home without the bracelet. I brought it up to the directors attention to which they denied any wrong doing. I immediately removed her from there and I am so glad I did. We put her in another day care and she didn't cry when dropping her off and she didn't cry when picking her up. That there alone has to tell you something.
