Food was good, great atmosphere but is too pricey to be a simple bar (taqueria I should say). If you ever decide to eat here just double check your bill. They also charge a gratuity after you spent $65 (I don't remember exactly) but the thing is that they do not warn you about it.

A mexican spot without margaritas is usually a no go for me! This Taco bar is very colorful it makes you decide to grab a menu, snack on some chips and salsa and stay for a bit. The wall murals are amazing! The menu has a few items that i must come back to try. During this trip i tried the Mexican corn and the grilled chicken tacos with fresh toppings on the side its delicious. I was pretty full, but once i saw churros on the dessert part of the menu i had to try them! You get about 6 hot sugary churros they come with vanilla ice cream and they are good....Like really good! The menu items are kinda pricey that is one thing i noticed. That might keep a few customers away because cheaper mexican food is less than 3 miles away.

So damn cute. I'm so surprised it was basically empty when we got there. The location is weird but the inside is very cute and super instagramable if you're into that, but if you're Mexican than you'll love the chisporito/ el chavo del 8 vibes going on. The menu is basic but delicious. Their sopes are big af and you can eat it as just your main plate or share and get 2 extra tacos. It was packed and packed with flavor. The tacos were also the bomb dot come and i love how they actually give you spicy frijoles charros!! I had lengua, al pastor, and tripa, the pastor was not my fav but the lengua was, especially with the red sauce. My pops has pastor, barbacoa, and fish. He was surprised that the barbacoa was actually delicious, he hated the fish, and he's just wants al pastor to be trompo. The agua frescas did not taste Fresca, it was more like fresh out of the powdered mix bag. I rather order a jarritos. Love it and can't wait to explore the menu more and bring new people!

I was very excited when I visited to this place specially since I went with a big party of chilangos (people from Mexico D.F). Once you step inside it brings you back to Mexico. The painted walls, the decorations... very pretty inside. Obviously all this people had big expectations, but they were all very disappointed in the end. In my concern, not being from Mexico but knowing when something is good or bad I didn't like my food. I ordered Huaraches (which I love) from the Garnachas part of the menu (Mexican Street Plates). Huaraches is a long Mexican tortilla topped with lettuce, Parmesan cheese, cream and a choice of pastor, chorizo, steak or chicken for $9.99. I ordered mine with all the 4 meats which was a little extra. Huaraches are made with a thick and crunchy tortilla. Mine was very chewy and flavorless. The meats were over seasoned and some had no flavor at all. Some people from my party ordered tacos ($3.50 for singles and $9.99 for three) and the orders got all confused. When the food was ready everyone got a plate but it wasn't the combinations everyone ordered. We called the server and she had to take the orders again, take the food back and bring them correctly. Which is fine, right? Everybody makes mistakes. We also got some churros, and they were just okay. When we got the check we realized it was too much for what we ordered even thought we were a big group. I checked the bill and we got extra orders of tacos we didn't ask for. We called the server to explain the situation and she brought a pen and a paper for us to write down the whole order again. Seriously? Just take off what we didn't get. Smh. I don't think I will be getting back. Smh. No creo que vaya a volver.

This place was truly amazing! I love the decoration it brought me back to Mexico City , it's very unique. The murales are amazing so I though let's see if the food is good ! Well it's very good !!! We decided to try a bit of everything . I had seen in a previous review that they thought the prices were pricey but I think they are fair . The dishes are very big and the food is delicious just like you would have in Mexico City , very authentic. I love that it's close to my house too but it's definitely a hot spot . !! Try it out !!! I loved the queso with salsa , yummmy

Chilango is a colorful, tasty, unexpected gem located off Cruse Road in the same shopping plaza as Desi Bazar. There's ample storefront parking and additional parking to the side of the shopping complex. I had expected to find an authentic taco spot similar to the countless corner stores you often find tucked away in the most unexpected places. Chilango, however, offered the comfort of a sit-down Mexican restaurant, while still providing the flavor of your favorite local taco hideaway. The atmosphere is quirky and fun, with bright, descriptive murals on the walls, plenty of eye-catching decorations, and even a fake clothesline hanging from the ceiling (complete with children's clothes "drying"). It has a very easygoing vibe with modern, indie Spanish music. The service was fast and my waitress incredibly friendly. I ordered an Asada and a Lengua taco in corn tortillas. They came full of meat, near the point of overflowing. I was so impressed. Ordering only two tacos was filling enough for me. The Lengua had a great texture and was cooked perfectly. I'm very picky about tongue, but I had no complaints with this one. The corn tortillas had a strong taste, so for those who aren't crazy about corn I would recommend ordering flour instead. The tacos came with onions, salsa, cilantro, and a lime on the side for the customer to top as they wish. It was a perfect amount for only two tacos, but would have requested more if I had ordered a third. The tacos were priced 1/$3.50 and 3/$9.99. I had expected it to be a little cheaper, but it was still a good amount of food for the price. They have a Taco Tuesday deal where you get four tacos for the price of three. And the check came with candy, who can really complain about that?

    Perfection!

The space itself is swanky in a relaxed way, cute, well decorated, and open and inviting without trying too hard. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and somehow already knew exactly where my to go order was, which felt like a small but impressive win. The restaurant was spotless and the parking lot deserves its own shout out. It was a decent size and easily handled my honkin big truck without any awkward maneuvering or silent prayers. That alone earns points. Now let us talk about the food, because wow. Everything was made exactly how I ordered it and tasted incredible. I went with three tacos and each one brought something different to the party. The daily special curry chicken taco was bold and flavorful in the best way. The OG with grilled chicken was classic and perfectly executed. The steak and queso was rich, savory, and downright dangerous in how fast it disappeared. The flavor profiles were spot on across the board and each taco held its own. Ordering online was quick and painless, which made the whole experience even smoother. Between the great food, friendly staff, clean space, and easy ordering, Strange Taco Bar absolutely nailed it. I will definitely go back and will continue to regret not trying them sooner.

I ordered about 5 tacos for a corporate lunch about 20 minutes from our office. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience this time. The food we received was burnt and overcooked, as seen in the pictures below. One order of tacos was actually a quesadilla instead. When we proceeded to call the restaurant to inform them they insisted that we drive 20 minutes back with the burnt food and the receipt in order to receive compensation, however due to the distance from us that was impossible for us to do and they could not provide us any other alternatives. The manger we spoke to was also very rude and unapologetic of actions and proceeded to encourage us to dispute the charge via our own bank accounts. Very unpleasant and rude staff which was disappointing considering we order from here multiple times. Would not recommend for corporate lunches and was disappointed in the lack of empathy or apologetic manner from the entire staff.

I would prefer an overdone egg than a soft egg, so that was ok, but I would order them differently if I returned. There were lots of tomatoes, peppers and onions which was nice for flavor, but there were so many that there weren't many "curds" of scrambled eggs if that makes sense. The refried beans might be the tastiest I've ever had. The rice was "ok". The soft corn tortillas were very fresh. I could do without the flavor of the leaf, which is actually pronounced (this surprised me). The masa was lovely and the black bean filling was delicious and well seasoned. I like to pan fry my tamales to reheat and they were stellar the next day. $4 each The staff was friendly and handled accommodations (no dairy, corn tortillas instead of flour) smoothly.
