Me at Chilango's Tacos Truck
Vilma P.

Chilango's Tacos Truck is permanently parked on 64th (Manatee Ave) and approximately 22nd in Bradenton, FL Delicious tacos at a great price! These three tacos al pastor with side fixings were only $6.00 If you're into street tacos and food trucks give Chilango's a try. There's seating under umbrellas and trees but go casually dressed as they are located on dirt and gravel. Really like this taco truck.

Great food. I don't like that the prices are not on the menu. I asked about torta and she initially said $9 and then changed it to $10.

Ohhhh my god!! We are from Texas and my husband comes down to Florida for work often. Well ever since he found this place (months ago) that's all he talks about when he goes back home. Well we finally made it to Florida with him and the first spot he took us to eat was Chilangos! & well OMG! I'm Mexican and I can honestly say their tacos are THE BEST IVE HAD!! Not just their tacos tho. We had a TORTA, SOPE, RICE, BEANS & TACOS. EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT

Just ok... I have gone several times and the food and service have been better. The first time I went they had delicious tacos with juicy chicken and beef. They came with marinated onions and cucumbers. The girl taking orders was polite and friendly. I enjoy their quesadillas. I think they make their own tortillas for the quesadilla. I would order the chorizo quesadilla, it would come with onions, cilantro, and radishes on the side. The last few times they have not had chorizo for some reason. There is a Mexican market right next door if they need to get some. I don't understand the reason for not having any. Since they didn't have chorizo I got carne asada. The meat was dry and fatty. There was no seasoning or favor. We also ordered some chicken tacos. They were thrown on a styrofoam plate with a loose piece of foil. They were a mess by the time we got home. They used to put them in a closable container. To top things off there is a rude kid taking orders at the window sometimes. One time he was arguing with someone in the truck and was about to cry. I asked him if he needed a minute or a break. I was not in a hurry. He just stared at me for what seemed like an eternity and then finally said "what do you want". Their place is reasonably priced but the service and quality of food have gone downhill They are not going to miss my business which is too bad. I used to anticipate coming here every trip to Florida.

Best, most authentic Mexican food I've found since I've been in Florida. Honestly better than most I've had in Mexico, and I've worked in 4 Mexican cities over the last 10 years. I'm not a huge corn tortilla fan, I prefer flour but their meat is so flavorful, I don't even mind the tortillas. They are very friendly and you get a ton of food for little $.

Maria’s Pupusas And Tacos

I stopped by this place for a quick pickup, and let me just say...these were the biggest pupusas…read moreI've ever had. They were absolutely delicious. Thick, hearty, and packed with flavor, they're the kind of pupusas that make you pause after the first bite. Major shoutout for the ample amount of curtido, because they did not skimp like every other restaurant does. It's fresh, tangy, and perfect for the huge pupusas. Exactly how it should be. Period. I didn't get to dine in this time, so I can't speak to the service. There was a bit of wait to get them, but once I got my food, it was immediately clear why-everything tasted fresh and made to order. Totally worth the wait. On top of it all, the prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the size and quality of the pupusas. You definitely get your money's worth. If you're in Bradenton and craving legit, filling pupusas, Maria's is a must-try!

He had the red enchiladas, I had two pupusas - garlic, and cheese and spinach. He could not finish the enchiladas - the portion was so large! He had rice and beans, too. ALL of the food was excellent, and we will most likely go again. Pleasant, friendly family place, and the prices are extremely reasonable. We were taken care of promptly, and both the waitresses were great!

We were here for the Cigar Box Music Festival and it seemed a bit chaotic in the seating area…read more There wasn't enough staff and they ran out of certain beers and even Pepsi. How does that happen when you know you have an event like this on a Saturday? We ordered the chips and guacamole, which was a mistake. The chips were way too thick and were stale. The guacamole was bland. I am used to garlic and lime in guacamole and this had none.

Calling in an order for tacos, not previously reviewing the menu wasn't the optimal approach. I…read moreasked for the items to be ready off, met with a grunt and groan but read to me none the less, close to fifteen or more in total. Forgive me if I stumble upon the exact names - the chicken asada, avocado and cambia stuck in my head and upon completion I asked for my total - $25. & change. Seemed kinda pricey and when I got inside my mind was partially absorbed by the cool surf decor and the woman writing checks at the counter who barely raised a brow to my presence. An older fella was in the back preparing - it was Tuesday at noon, a table of clucking hens outside, myself and two additional workers inside. Both visually unhappy bloated people that had an unpleasant stare and aura. My food was doing upon the counter in such a uncared for way that I thought to myself "this can't possibly be mine", it was. On the bright side of matters, the tacos were dense with the assigned ingredients, heavy chicken, fish and avocado to be sure. And remember three stars isn't a bad review, but there was a few things about the place I just didn't like. Walking in, my hopes were high as the building and ramp entrance was adorable, as mentioned, I really liked the interior design - but I must report the lowest grades for staffing - asking for a implement for hot sauce was not easy and seamless - it's a downer feel to what could be and should be good vibrations.
