Great-tasting authentic Mexican food!…read more I had two tacos and some pinto beans. (under $10) The tortillas tasted homemade and had that slightly grill, char taste to them. The chicken was ground up into small, crispy bites. The topping was like a pico de gallo without tomatoes and the hot sauce that came with them was absolutely perfect, spicy but not too hot. I love spicy but I think for most people the spice level would be just right. At some point soon I'll try the tamales...they have a fairly large menu with meat and seafood dishes. It was very noisy inside because a soccer game was on and it's Father's Day today but there's lots of outside seating and even though it was hot, it was still a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended! These tacos were better than some I've had at beach-side restaurants in San Diego.

The staff were very attentive and hospitable. On Tuesdays, they have a Mix & Match 3 tacos deal for $11.99. You can mix both flour or corn tortilla tacos, but it doesn't include the Birria tacos. I ended up trying the shrimp tacos on flour tortilla, ribeye taco on corn, and al pastor on corn. I also tried a bite of the carne asada on flour taco from my sister. I would highly recommend the al pastor taco. It's juicy (comes with pineapple sticks) and the flavor is fantastic. The shrimp was also good but it's on the heavier side bc they add cheese. The ribeye was my least favorite and although the flavor is good, it's pretty dry without much sauce. If you want steak, I would go for the carne asada instead (they add guac) Overall, fantastic restaurant and a great deal for tacos on Tuesdays. My favorite part is the complimentary chips and salsa. Life changing.

When I went, the mojitos were on special for $6, so I of course had to order it. It was good, just a tad on the sweet side. For the app, we got the queso with chorizo and it was delicious. We also ordered the fajitas for two. It was HUGE and had an array of different meats - chicken, steak, chorizo, shrimp, and carnitas. Sadly most of the meats were overcooked and not as enjoyable to eat. La Victoria is still one of the better Mexican food spots I've had in Raleigh so far (especially as a native Texan growing up around incredible Tex-Mex). Worth a visit!

We ordered two taco platters, loaded with an incredible lineup: Cachete -- Pork Cheek Barbacoa -- Braised Beef Carnitas -- Pork Buche -- Pork Stomach Chorizo -- Mexican Sausage Lengua -- Beef Tongue Both platters came with rice and beans, and everything was packed with authentic flavor. The lengua was exactly what I was looking for--tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth the search. The cachete and barbacoa were equally impressive, while the carnitas, buche, and chorizo rounded out an outstanding taco lineup. And of course, a large horchata to complete the experience. Esmeralda Grill delivers the kind of Mexican food that makes you stop and appreciate every bite. Authentic flavors, generous portions, and a menu that gives you plenty of reasons to come back. Definitely one of the best Mexican joints in Cary--and easily my favorite find in town. 5 stars without hesitation.

I usually rotate between the tacos, enchiladas, and molcajetes, and while the tacos themselves are just okay, the overall experience is solid. The fresh chips are easily some of the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant (warm and crisp). Add queso to those chips and it really seals the deal. They more than make up for the tacos being a bit underwhelming and are honestly reason enough to come back. This is a great neighborhood spot if you're looking for authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent chips and dips (biggest downside is no liquor aka no margaritas). Not every dish is a knockout, but the highlights keep it comfortably in 4-star territory.

They usually aren't very busy, so sometimes I think they forget about us and follow up service get slow. I love that there's something to eat in that plaza besides fast food, but I haven't been too impressed with anything and most importantly I think it's way overpriced. Oh, and I went with young kids Monday and Heard some pretty graphic lyrics in the music. Not a huge deal, but if you're going with young kids, I don't feel like hearing the F word while you're reading your taco salad, you might wanna avoid it anyway.

While the food is on the pricey end, the portion sizes make up for it and the quality is there. On my first visit, I tried their Tres Amigos dish. It is basically a mix grill with shrimp, steak and chicken. It came with rice, beans, and veggies. The meats were super flavorful and the rice and beans were actually great! I hate it when a Mexican place just dumps overcooked rice and goopy beans and calls it a day. The veggies were very clearly frozen and came from a bag, wasn't all that excited by that. I think arroz con pollo (ACP) is one of the simplest, yet, most delicious Mexican dishes. It is chicken, cheese and rice, how can you mess that up? Mamacita does their ACP justice. The chicken is tender, there is a nice balance between the cheese and rice, and it is just a great combination altogether. They also do a decent job with their birria tacos (although wasn't the biggest fan of the consume) and their churrasco plate. They even top it with a legit salad, not just the chopped lettuce and tomato. In the end, I am always full and satisfied with the meal. I certainly think this is worth a visit. After a few minutes a lady came and I asked if I was too late for lunch. She ignored my questions. How many? I said just one, is it too late for the lunch menu....no answer. I was shown to a booth in the bar area, which has loud music, but it was not very busy, so just some people noise. When I ordered I specified the lunch meal and it was not questioned , so that was my answer finally. Service was fast but certainly not friendly at all. I had a burrito with ground beef, beans and rice. I was so disappointed. The beans were so thin I really needed a spoon. The little bit of meat inside the burrito was mixed with some sort of sauce and ?? , which included a whole bay leaf. Again, it would have been easier to eat with a spoon. The rice was good. I guess I am just accustomed to my usual place which has much better food quality and none of it is runny. My last visit for sure....
