I always feel like I have plenty of work clothes but nothing I can wear out to dinner with friends or something. It's nice when I can find an outfit that can do both - especially if I have to go from work to play with no time to stop at home. This past weekend they had an extra 30% off clearance and an extra 30% on top of that for friends and family weekend. Keep a look out for those deals! I got a dress that I can wear to an upcoming wedding, two tanks/shells, and a sweater with tax for less than $60. Woot! The staff is very friendly and helpful...though the girl in the dressing room kept calling all the ladies "hun". I didn't mind, but I'm 25. She was probably around the same age, maybe a little younger, and I can't imagine some of the older ladies being cool with that. Probably a retail sales mistakes...

Apparently at Pitaya, standing at the register with clothes in your hand isn't enough to indicate…read morethat you'd like to check out. You also need to make the appropriate amount of eye contact with Erica. We were standing at the register clearly ready to purchase our items, but Erica told us she "didn't know" we wanted to check out because we weren't looking at her. When I questioned how that made sense, she decided I was being "aggressive." Thankfully, I started recording after that accusation. The video shows me speaking to her calmly and normally, despite how unnecessarily difficult she was making a basic checkout. Then Erica announced that she didn't have to sell us the shirt. Fine! We started to leave. A woman who was there in a police uniform actually had to step in and encourage her to just complete the transaction. And somehow it got even more ridiculous: Erica took my payment and then didn't want to hand me the shirt I had literally just paid for. What should have been a two minute checkout turned into an entire production over eye contact. I've never experienced anything like it. Maybe customer service just isn't Erica's ministry.

The people said some rude things when me and my friend went and than came back with her mom they said that we needed our moms money. It wasn't a great experience but it was okay just I wish it was cheaper and better employees.

Having said that, I like the clothes at Eddie Bauer but find them often over priced. The discounts here really are worth shopping this outlet. The clothes seem to be the same sold at the galleria and at a price point I can stand. The staff here is very helpful as well. Be aware that you can't go here with a specific item in mind, the inventory is very off season and you need to be open minded about what you might find.

Also, am glad to know that you can skip the shopping bag when you purchase an item in lieu of their contribution to several charitlies. I was all excited to visit this location of Ann Taylor as it is the brand's first concept store in…read moreMissouri. The concept store aesthetic is meant to evoke the feel of a boutique, including spacious dressing rooms, personalized service, and a fashion-forward sensibility. Upon walking into the store, I was pleased that at least one part of the makeover was successful--the store seemed much brighter and more open. I also enjoyed the runway of mannequins showcasing this season's looks, as this is reminiscent of the setup at Reiss, one of my favorite retailers. There is no getting around the fact that this location is one of the smaller Ann Taylors. As for a boutique-y feel, I would say not so much--in fact, the only concession to a customized shopping experience that I observed is the touchscreen monitor that gives shoppers access to anntaylor.com where they can view and order items that are not available in store. I must have timed my visit right as there was a great sale going on, which leads me to: the point of sale. I'll note that the space near the cashwrap could be expanded as there is really no place to stand and right at checkout is not the best time for the customer to feel hemmed in. Overall, not a bad shopping experience, just not what I was expecting given the level of attention and market research that I'm sure went into this store's opening.

The times I have been there, the staff are usually working on things like inventory or changing the layout of parts of the store, which can make a customer feel like they are in the way and for an unwelcome shopping experience.
