I felt so awful asking him repeatedly to go hunting for a specific pair of shoes that I wanted but he did it without even an inkling of frustration. When it turned out that they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, he went hunting for it as different stores until they were found. While we waited, we chatted about how much he enjoyed working at Merrell's Outlet Store and how they treated their employees well. He was an absolute pleasure to interact with and I will be looking for him the next time I swing through. She hadn't sent the receipt but I headed out to the Merrell outlet in Arundel Mills to see if I could exchange the shoes for a size up. I didn't have a bag either but had the shoes in a Merrell box, and I was feeling pretty awkward about it as I entered the store. There was only one sales associate and I wanted to let her know right away I'd walked in with the box, I'd not picked it up since I'd been in the store, but she was occupied with another customer. So I stood anxiously near the register, hoping I wasn't tagged as a shoplifter. Luckily, I was not! As soon as the sales associate freed up, she immediately came over to me and asked me if I needed to make an exchange. I said I did, showed her the shoes in the box, and she made a face, telling me they were on clearance (I knew this, my mom got a good deal which is why she bought me three pairs of shoes) and may not be in stock. Fortunately they were! We walked over to where those particular shoes were on display and she immediately plucked an 8 out. She handed them to me and I tried them on, pleased with the fit! Zip, bam, boom, she did the exchange, put the 8s in a bag, and I was soon on my way home! So, I love all the shoes my mom bought, though I didn't explore the Arundel Mills Merrell store. What I can say is I was totally happy with the customer service I received in there today. When I'm due for new shoes, I'll definitely go back!

My compadre's browsed, but when Giovann noticed I wasn't delving into the clothing racks (i'm not much of a shopper), she came over to me and questioned me on what my 'style' was. Which left me speechless, b/c again, I'm not a shopper and am not the kind of girl who has any idea what "style" I prefer. So, she broke it down for me. "Tell me how you like to 'feel', not how you like to look". Thus began all of our journey into diva-hood. For the next 2 hours, we tried on clothes all while Diva Giovanna showed us tips on how to bring out our best features, how to pose in a way that creates the best pictures, and what looks would work best on our bodies...she even took pictures of us in her clothes to show us how amazing we looked. It wasn't shopping. It was an experience in celebrating womanliness! There is something for everyone in this shop (even a little dog and a piano), casual, fancy, REALLY FANCY... She will make you try on things you didn't even know you would look good in and she will style you.
