Beautiful place the loved the design and business idea/ model. Something like this would do great back where I live in San Diego. All herbal options no coffee available. Service was great! Thank you!

This place is awesome for studying, meeting friends, or just grabbing a tea and bite. Lots of seating inside and outside. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Particularly love the kid space!!!!

I came here for lunch and ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a vegan berry scone. The location is so cute and very relaxing. It was a Tuesday afternoon and wasn't very busy so service seemed fairly quick. I would recommend the chai, it was very good. The scone was a bit in the soggy side but was still good. Next time I visit I would like to try one of the roasts as that seemed to be popular with the other people in the cafe.

Food was great it's what you can expect, baristas are fun to talk to they also have nice suggestions, And I loved the interior it's cute for a quick eat and drink either to catch up with someone or for a quiet place to finish up some work.

Chico chai is my favorite chai ever!! It's got so much spice and it's not overly sweet. The new chai house is so gorgeous and the team is incredible. Sarah, the owner, is a genuinely kind hearted person. I've seen her interact with her guests in the chai house and she's always so bright and full of positive energy. They are constantly coming up with new chai recipes and seasonal toast specials. The Achaar egg toast is my favorite food option here, pretty sure they don't have anything like that anywhere else in Chico. Lastly, the kids corner, so many kids have the chance to sit and color and play with toys. I can't say enough good things about what Chico chai is doing!!! Love it here!!!

So happy to have the chaihouse open! Fantastic pastries and their toasts are so good! Everyone working there is super kind and helpful. Love to sit on the couches and catch up with friends. You can't help but want to hang out all day. They have a kids corner too so all are welcome! Check them out!

I have loved this place since the first time I had a Chico chai latte. Since then, I've bought at least 4 pounds worth of their chai (classic and herbal/non-caffeinated rooibos chai) loose leaf bulk tea. It's funny, I'm from Texas, so I get overly excited for Chico Chai anytime I visit. I had high hopes for the new location and it lived up to every expectation! My only wish is that they had runny egg options. (Maybe I'm wrong and they do have runny options.. I didn't ask!) Other than that, best believe I will be coming to this spot every chance I get!

Peach, basil, and goat cheese on toast with a matcha affogato. Tasty!

Fantastic food, cozy environment, good service. This is my favorite cafe in the area! Their chai and matcha are such high quality. I love the atmosphere and all of the plants. The owner is so sweet and always says hi to me and my friends. I love supporting small local businesses especially when they're such a delight to be in. This is a great place to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend it!

Consistently beautiful and delicious. I'm convinced this might be the only place that makes matcha with a whisk etc.

Chico Chai is a wonderful experience in tea. Love the different tea blends and appreciate being able to buy the teas at local stores.

Confused about whether this is a tea store I can go to or just pop ups at the farmers market? If this is a store can you buy just a cup of chai like at a cafe?

We've always experienced really friendly service and I love all the different sitting areas they provide. We especially love that rooftop area! What cool views! It's like a Hallmark movie up there lol. The restrooms are clean enough and a great alternative to the port a potties offered at the ice skating rink access the street lol. The coffee is strong and I love their lattes. My kids enjoy their treats and kid drinks, too. Their dad likes it bc it keeps me fr complaining about going to that ice skating rink and that restroom situation. I don't live in Chico, but I'm here often for errands and I like Chico, so I come for random stuff. I also have to do events at the college near enough to this coffee shop, so I make sure to stop in to grab coffee before my work events. I think they should stay open later hours though. Parking is usually ok, but depends on the day and time. It's only street parking. I'm fr the city and my parallel parking skills are ok lol but if you can't, you can always back into the weird spots on the park across the street. I will say- there was a young homeless guy laying down on a couch in that glass middle room thing, kind of chilling, but I think for safety reasons, they should be more on top of that bc he was too close to the woman's bathroom for my comfort. Plus it wasn't sanitary. I know that's not PC, but it ls a factual situation that if it were to become a more common occurrence, would stop me from returning. For now, I love grabbing coffee from here when I'm in Chico a few times a month.

I must have showed up at the right time. Ordered a cortado from the gentleman who made my coffee as well, and took a seat at the window bar. First sips. Pretty good. Nicely balanced espresso. Mild citrus and floral notes with rich chocolate and brown sugar that lingers on the palate. Medium bitterness, but nice. What a great little spot. BUT then... I finished my coffee and politely asked where I could put my dirty cup, as opposed to leave it where I sat. (Welp... don't expect Dutch Bros-in your face, friendly) I asked the girl behind the counter who was annoyed I bothered her. She pointed and said over there. Which was not very apparent. So I went over in that direction and seen an empty counter. I didn't want to just set it there, so I asked an older gentleman and he nodded and pointed. No words necessary I guess. There was a cart tucked in the corner with an empty bus tub. Nothing points or says please put your dirty stuff here. But I'm going to say that's where they go. Why my question was such a bother was unknown. You guys got good coffee. But your personalities are worse than Eeyore.

I waited 18 minutes and several people came and went after me picking up their orders. I approached the counter and inquired about my order. The barista pointed to a large cup off to the side that was clearly not what I ordered. I politely said "that's not what I ordered" and continued to inform the barista of what my order had been. She just stood there and stared back at me clueless about what to do. The gal who initially took order came over and argued with me about what I ordered! I said "that's not what I ordered, you repeated it back to me when I ordered it...". Her response "well that's what I charged you for". I was dumbfounded, instead of just making me what I wanted they both argued with me and then admitted to charging me more for a beverage that I never wanted! I decided to turn and walk away. I don't need to waste my time arguing with teenagers who clearly have zero customer service training.

Artisanal is not toss a bunch of random things together and attach a hefty price tag. That's for sure. I had the black bean soup. I loved the cilantro pesto. The soup was well seasoned, a little spicy. It was vegetarian but it was still missing something and I couldn't put my finger on it. For $20 this cheese/ bread combo needs to have an impressive cheese pull. It did not. No pull at all. The bread was herbed and flavorful. Not worth $18-20 without sides and a beverage. The menu was too all over the place for me so I wouldn't eat the food again. But the dessert I would gladly come back for. I'm interested in a beverage as well.
